Domestic Version:- Dubai's Sheikh's have claimed it's the eighth wonder of the world and seen from space the tree-shaped sand and rock formation of the Palm Jumeirah looks exactly that. It's just one of the amazing man-made structures that has turned Dubai into the fastest growing place on earth. It has the most luxurious hotel in the world, the tallest building on Earth, the world's biggest airport, a covered ski slope in the middle of the desert and an enormous theme park. But the most ambitious project is the building of an aritificial archipelago whose islands have been sculptured to form various shapes - a palm tree, a world map, a half moon. Building these islands will increase the Emirate's coastline from 70-kilometres to over 1,000. Dubai's property speculation and building fever is astonishing. ...The Burj Al Arab also known as The Tower of Arabs is one of the major attractions in Dubai. It is located on a man-made island on the Persian Gulf. It was once the tallest building in the world used exclusively as a hotel. It is now the third tallest hotel due to two taller buildings being built, which are used exclusively as hotels just like the Burj Al Arab. The second tallest hotel is located...
Advantages: Everything - a real experience hotel Disadvantages: Cost - A little too far from Town for easy shopping/eating out
...The Burj-Al-Arab (Arabian Tower) is Dubai and the UAE's answer to the landmark symbols of other countries, they compare it to the Eiffel tower (it's slightly taller by virtue of its mast) and other icons.
The Burj is said to be the world's only 7 star hotel - this is something that has to be taken with a pinch of salt, hotel stars are usually awarded by national tourist authorities and in my...
Advantages: Nice room and fab location Disadvantages: can be pricey
...The Radisson hotel at Manchester Airport is probably one of the more well known as it has now been there for quite some time and unlike a lot of others around the Airport, hasn't been bought out over the years and renamed. The hotel is set right in the heart of Manchester Airport so that all three terminals are easily accessible from it and it is easy spot if you are coming off of the motorway to...
