beautiful beawch, laid back, the medina

not enough there for a week,

...staying there for a week, as there was not that much to do. I think we covered most of the main attraction in the seven hours we were there. It might be good if I was looking for a relaxing beach holiday in the summer. It would also be great for a weekend break or perhaps a two centre holiday split between Marrakesh and Essaouira It is fairly unspoilt but there are a number of hotel and riads...

Great for a relax for a night or two

Not too much to see - a full day and you've done it.

...the curse of Morocco the day previously. Service was slow. Our first meal in Essaouira was to a fairly local Western looking hotel, Le Mechouar on the edge of the Medina with a rather nice dining area outside. I had the stuffed Moroccan Pastilla Parcels; a mix of seafood and chicken filled parcels. In look they appeared more like spring rolls, and I enjoyed that mix of savoury and sweet filo pastry...
