Morocco's Essaouira - Good to chill for a couple of days

Advantages: Great for a relax for a night or two
Disadvantages: Not too much to see - a full day and you've done it.

Our first meal in Essaouira was to a fairly local Western looking hotel, Le Mechouar on the edge of the Medina with a rather nice dining area outside. I had the stuffed Moroccan Pastilla Parcels; a mix of seafood and chicken filled parcels. In look they appeared more like spring rolls, and I enjoyed that mix of savoury and sweet filo pastry...

Advantages: Small, chilled-out, friendly, pretty,place
Disadvantages: Not exactly the party capital of the world, if you do manage to find a bar serving alcohol, as a woman you will feel pretty uncomfortable in there.
