Genoa cake...go on have a slice!!!
Advantages: A great starting place to see Italy.
Disadvantages: Forgot them as fast as I found them!
...I travelled the across Italy for 4 weeks in summer 2002. Genoa is the city we flew in to, it cost me £5 to fly to Genoa on EasyJet (hard to believe I know!). The aproach by plane is stunning the airport is right on the harbour so as you fly in you see the whole city.
On arrival we caught a taxi , which was a reasonable price to the youth hostel, the city is a bus or taxi journey from...

Review of Genoa (Italy)

Basic Parisian hotel... but a brilliant location.
Advantages: Close to some good shops, a good metro station and not far from the Eiffel Tower.
Disadvantages: Tiny room, paper thin walls (and I MEAN paper thin) and quite tired rooms.
...* hotel as it was in a good location and it looked nice enough on the pictures, it wasn't badly priced too compared to similar hotels in Paris.
The Hotel's Location
Europe Hotel is in an ideal location on a busy street. It's situated only a 10-15 minute walk away from the Effiel Tower, which was amusing on our first day as we stood with a map wondering where the busy street we were standing in...

Next G8, Genoa fears a BIG RIOT
Advantages: a beauty working city
Disadvantages: incoming G8
...matter.
I refer to the issue of the Seattle's people and to the movements of protest that risk not to contrast this waited meeting, but destroy a beautiful and working city, with the attempt of hitting the capitalists and the globalization reality.
Incredible!
Italy has moved up 3,000 policemen and it has been closed many offices and public and private users for the fear of a BIG RIOT...
