Holiday Inn 4 **** Hotel at Marne La Vallee

Advantages: Close to Disneyland Parks, Village and Bus and Train Stations
Disadvantages: Around 27 miles from central Paris

...This hotel is only a mile away {if that} from the Disney Parks, village and bus and train stations. Reached by a free pink shuttle bus {no.54} of which runs every 10-15 minutes stopping at hotels my travel explorers, Hotel Kyriad, Movenpick Dream Castle and Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn Hotel itself is very clean and has a small shop selling gifts and phonecards, check in was easy and very quick. We stayed in room 3303 of which was a very large double bed, very clean and tidy. As we stayed here for our honeymoon for 11 nights the room was cleaned and the bed made with fresh linen everyday. There was even a complimentery bowl of fruit waiting for us in our room. The food however at the hotel is expensive and not very good in the evening, my husband however said that the breakfast was excellent. There is also an ice machine...

Disney's Cheyenne Hotel - What An Amazing Place!!!

Advantages: So many to mention
Disadvantages: None at all

...::::: What is the Cheyenne Hotel::::: The Disney's Hotel Cheyenne is a wild west based theme hotel. It is made to look as if it is in the wild west, with horses, cowboys etc. You've seen all the movies. It does look real, and every detail has been put in to make it look "wild west". The main reception building, where the restaurant is, and other hotel buildings surrounding it have funky wild west writing on the sides of the buildings which says things like "Saloon" "Jail" and "Billy The Kid". This is a good idea, not the names of each hotel building but gives the hotel that extra feel of the hotel area. There are around 10 different hotel blocks, each separated. The main building is where most people go at breakfast, at dinner if they choose to eat there, or when they check in, or out. This is a good place to meet as a meeting point...

A Formule for success?

Advantages: Cheap, close to motorway
Disadvantages: Very few facilities

...I was looking for a cheap hotel in the area of Abbeville after my husband discovered it was about £50 cheaper (at least) for us to get the ferry to France on a Friday night than early on a Saturday morning, presumably because of all the day-trippers. I'd heard of Formule 1 before, and seen many of their hotels around on previous journeys through France, so decided to check them out. Background Formule 1 hotels can be seen across France, and are also available in other European countries, including the UK, Germany and Spain among others. For those of you travelling slightly further afield, there are Formule 1 hotels in Brazil, Japan, South Africa and Australia too. They're easily identifiable by the bright yellow colour scheme they all seem to use, both on the website and on the buildings themselves. They use a consistent...

Fun at the explorers hotel.

Advantages: Price, Family rooms, family friendly, free shuttle to disney parks.
Disadvantages: No complaints.

...We stayed at the explores hotel for a weekend, there were 5 of us, 2 children and 3 adults. We booked this hotel through the eurostar website and found the price compared to Disney hotels very cheap (approximately £250 for 5 people for 2 nights bed and breakfast), we were also attracted to this hotel because it seemed very family orientated and offered larger rooms. The hotel is situated approximately 1 mile from the disneyland resort paris. We drove ourselves and found the hotel with no problems, as we got closer to disneyland the hotel was signposted, the hotel offered a large free carpark. We checked in in a matter of minutes and the staff were very friendly. We arrived in our room and were very pleased with what we found. In the main room there was a double bed and 2 single beds, a wardrobed a chest of drawers a dressing...

Explorers Hotel - a family-friendly hotel.

Advantages: cheap, friendly, clean, child-friendly
Disadvantages: none

...A truly excellent base from which to explore Disneyland! We went for 8 days with our children (5 and 3). The hotel staff were polite and friendly and aareas of the hotel were clean and air conditioned (great during a very hot week in August!) The real appeal of this hotel, however is the child-friendliness of it all. The soft play area is located next to the breakfast area, which meant that our children could go and play in safely whilst we loaded up on caffeine ready for a day exploring the parks. The pool was excellent and provided an ideal opportunity to escape "Disney-itus" for a while! Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast (with cornflakes and chocolate flakes for "fussy children!) The hotel kindly request that "No food be taken from the breakfast room", however most people seemed to have rather large rucksacks and furtive...

Hôtel Restaurant La Flambée -dine in style but bedrooms plain.

Advantages: Beautiful dining room
Disadvantages: Bedrooms adequate but not elegant.

...We stayed at the Hôtel Restaurant La Flambée in Bergerac in November 2008 for two nights and enjoyed breakfast and dinner. What follows is an honest account as possible about the hotel as I can provide. Hopefully this may help if you are planning to visit this part of the world. We flew to Bordeaux but the most convenient airport for the hotel is actually in Bergerac as the hotel lies about 2 miles outside the town. Incase you are not familiar with this part of the world these places are in the main wine growing areas, and are in South West France. Flying time from the UK is about an hour and a half if you are flying from the London areas. Easyjet will take you to Bordeaux from Luton, likewise British Airways will fly you from Gatwick, and Ryanair will fly you from Stansted to Bergerac. This area is great as it is possible to use as...

How I learned what "wheeeeee" was in 10 different languages

Advantages: Close to the park, has adjoining rooms for families
Disadvantages: Not the quietest for my particular room

...On visiting Disneyland Paris is January 2008, I researched hotel and travel options extensively in order to make sure I got my term-time holiday (the kids being preschoolers) at the best possible rate. Reading up on www.disboards.com and trip advisor this hotel kept coming up as being good value and also being the only one I could find to have a family room with and adjoining children's bedroom as opposed to curtained bunk beds. For this reason I decided to book it, at the time it was a reasonable £70 per night for a "crew room" which had a double bed, two twin and bunk beds in an adjoining room. We were provided with a travel cot in addition to this for no further charge. Current rates are vary but start at the £84 rate. This hotel is a 3 star one and is situated a short drive from the main park. The hotel is grouped with other...

MAKATI SHANGRI-LA HOTEL - A Place for those with Discerning Taste

Advantages: location, wonderful accommodations, delicious food
Disadvantages: expensive

...Makati Shangri-la Hotel is classy. And expensive. Staying there is a luxury which my family and I indulged in one weekend using the discount vouchers included in my Shangri-la Senses card. Makati Shangri-la is one of the most popular hotels in Metro Manila and is often chosen as the preferred residence of most foreign dignitaries and executives visiting the country. The moment you step into the lobby, you could already feel why it is given a five-star status. The lobby itself is impressive with its spiral staircase and huge chandelier hanging on top of a beautifully-designed floral centerpiece. However, some may find it a bit imposing. As to the service, it is prompt, impeccable and very professional although somehow I long for the more intimate service that I get from hotels of a lesser caliber. The room we occupied is...

Mollet De Valles - Barcelona -Formule 1

Advantages: Cheap, on the main stretch to Barcelona centre, relaxing and functional.
Disadvantages: get booked up very quickly in summer, no lift to floors.

...As this is the first review for this Formule 1, I'm going to make it a good one. We have stayed there many time's and always got a good nights sleep. These hotels offer exactly what people need, clean rooms, warm, comfy beds with TV, Basin and mirror in each room. There are half a dozen toilets and about 3 showers per floor (so not for those who don't want to skip down a corridor to the loo) and they even supply the washing soap and towels. In each shower there's a massive dryer to do the whole body!!! The corridors and rooms are all carpeted so your feet don't get cold on the way to the shower. The toilets and showers are all on an automatic cleaning cycle and several times a day the doors are automatically locked (when there's no one inside) and the rooms are blasted with water!!! My father suffers from a breathing problem so...

Formule 1 Liverpool City Center

Advantages: Cheap, good location.
Disadvantages: shareing toilet and shower,

...My first time to this hotel, in Liverpool town center didnt really leave me with any positves about this place, for the price they charge though, i wasnt expecting much more then just a room. I was quite surprised to find a Television with a remote control, a sink for a quick wash, free towels, and a bunk bed, being a double on the bottom and single on the top. The decor is very basic, the one and only window only opened half way, so wasnt able to get much fresh air into the room. As for the toilets and shower, they are shared with other people on the same floor as you, they are both in seperate areas, was an awfull smell coming from the toilets, so had to hold my nose while in there. As for the shower, it was quite roomy, with space to put your towel, a mirror, and hot running water. No slip mat on the floor, the whole shower was...
