Great little find in Paris- Hotel France Albion

Advantages: Fantastic location and large sized room!

...Fresh off the plane from paris i thought I'd share my thoughts on this hotel in Paris where my best friend and I spent a long weekend. We chose the hotel for its location- close to shopping district and centre of Paris and we werent disappointed there. We were feeling confident about the hotel as we had had good communication with them before we left- we had changed dates and asked to leave our luggage in the hotel as we were arriving early. We were not disappointed when we arrived- the outside of the hotel was a freshly painted blue. of all the buildings in the street it was by far the best cared for giving a very good impression. inside, the staff could not have been more friendly and willing to help. we spoke in French to them but I did hear them speaking English with other guests. the desk is manned 24/7 which was a relief...

...If you visit Paris its almost rude not to go up the Eiffel tower. Those of you who have read my other reviews on Paris will know I went there last summer for a few days??and yes I did venture up the Eiffel tower. History: The Eiffel tower was built by the contractor Gustave Eiffel in 1889 and is 118 years old. It took only two years two months and five days to build, which is quite remarkable considering the height of the tower, the weight of the metalwork used and the fact that it was only 1889! There is an exhibition marking the building work of the tower on one of the levels and this is well worth a look, although I can't remember which level it is on. My opinion: I thought it was great and really good value for money, however it has since been named top of the list in a poll of the worlds most disappointing tourist spots...

I see the Eiffel Tower!

Advantages: Close to the Eiffel Tower, clean and not bad prices
Disadvantages: No tea or coffee facilities in the room.

...On my recent trip to Paris I saw a lot of hotels - the first one was the Tour Eiffel Suffren. This hotel is a 4 star hotel and is part of the Mercure chain of hotels. The hotel: The hotel is classed as a 4 star hotel but, is not a luxury style hotel compared to others of the same rating within Paris city centre. The hotel has plenty of facilities which I'll go through later and is quite large with 405 rooms. Location: The hotel is one of the closest to the Eiffel Tower and from the front entrance there is a smashing view of the tower. Some of the rooms also have a view of the tower but unfortunately I was not lucky enough to have one of those ones! The hotel is located at 20 Rue Jean Rey and is actually located right next door to the Hilton Paris hotel. Officially in the 15th Arondissemont it is located on the left bank...

A great choice for travellers through France

Advantages: Close to main amenities, towns, and motorways. Sometimes in the heart of particular towns

...Kyriad hotels is a chain of hotels situated all over France, so if you are looking for a quite a cheap getaway I would highly recommend them. The standard of the hotel is excellent as I am about to state below. All the hotels are based on major roads & tend to be based either on the edge of a city or just outside. This is a budget hotel chain with no frills. You will find this chain of hotels near formula one hotel and near the Holiday or Travel Inn hotels (British owned by either Whitbread or Bass). Although I have already said this is a cheap budget hotel, the cost per night for a double room, you are looking at between £20 to £30 for the night. I have stayed in this hotel chain about 3 times now and the layout in each and the standards are about the same. Cheap does not mean a lesser product! This is explained even further...

You get a 360 degree view of Paris so make sure that you have picked a clear day. i was also surprised that there is a toilet at the top, amazing though, you have to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower to find the cleanest toilets in France!! You can stay at the top as long as you want and there are plenty of lifts to the bottom!! Please enjoy this experience as i did!!!...

...In my last visit to Paris last year, my husband and I visited la tour Eiffel at night, having previously visited it in the middle of a hot summer day. I thought, a night visit would be quite different, the night scene would be a nice change and the crowds will not be so bad. Upon reaching the Eiffel Tower, I wasn't wrong in my assumptions because it was quite deserted and we had a fabulous time! Getting there = The Eiffel Tower can be reached by several means, of which we chose to walk. Our hotel was within walking distance and we felt rather comfortable and safe to walk in those areas. We don't know whether its either our ignorance or the general safety of the local area, but we didn't meet any trouble and we had a wonderful long walk to and fro the Eiffel in the quiet of the suburbs of Paris. ...I?ve now been to Lille three times in the past year or so, each previous time, merely for the day. Only over the last weekend did we stay overnight. Why Lille? Well, rather like the reason dogs lick their naughty bits, it?s because we can. Lille is the first main stop in France on the Eurostar/TGV route from the Channel Tunnel ? yes, I know you could get a train that stops at Calais (Fréthun), but that?s like getting out at Bristol Parkway and expecting to be in Bristol! Gare Lille-Europe arrives outside your train window 1 hour and 40 minutes after London Waterloo International disappears. Stage 1 of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL), means that we now get to hurtle through Kent at 186 M.P.H. before slowing to a mere 100 M.P.H. to shrug off the 32 miles of tunnel in a mere 20 minutes.
