Advantages: Facilities are amazing Disadvantages: The rooms could do with an upgrade
...offering this package on teletext, and to our surprise they had a fully inclusive holiday to Alcudia for 7 nights at the HotelJupiter/Saturno for £315 per person??..If a hand had appeared magically out of the telephone me and Sarah would have bitten it off, but lets just say we accepted the holiday graciously.
So now with our holiday booked, and feeling very satisfied with the bargain we just found, it was time to find the hotel we had just booked to stay in on the internet, and read any review on it if there were any???And that's when we began to panic!
The Panic????
We found our hotel with ease on the internet, along with quite a few reviews, with the most recent one being written a year ago.
The hotel looked lovely, and rather grand. But reading through the many reviews written by previous guests who had stayed there, mine...
Advantages: food, entertainment, childrens facilities Disadvantages: too much noise
...I went to this hotel with my family in August 2008 and have come back with good and bad points about it.
There is a lot to do there and with 4 children ranging in age from 2 -15 there needed to be. Some of the activities you had to pay for such as trampolines and motorised bikes but with 7 different pools, playground, crazy golf and train you could find plenty to do at no cost. A bus to the beach everyday also meant that we have a different variety of activities every day to keep the children interested.
The rooms were basic but clean and my only down-side to them was that you had to pay if you wanted the TV on, luckily I took the portable DVD player with me. The food was great and my 2-year-old had no trouble finding something that he liked - a great variety was served up - english breakfasts were great every morning. Food was on tap...
...Jupiter.
Author - Ben Bova.
Jupiter is set 100 years after his Mars and Venus novels. The book has a distinctive religious undertone. One society is the 'New Morality' which requires citizens to give up a few years of their lives to "Service" within the 'new morality'. With any religious movement they dislike and mistrust any Scientists and their works.
Synopsis:
Our hero of the story is Grant Archer, A student studying Black Holes. Grant is sent to spend his "Service" time at a research station named Gold, which is orbiting Jupiter.
His mission is to spy on the scientists and report back any deviant behaviour.
Grant himself will grows a as person as he realises he is not the centre of the universe and this is well written.
However the station director, Dr wo takes a shine to grant and a friendship is struck up. So much so...

Review of Jupiter - Ben Bova
...Jupiter.
The story follows Grant Archer as he is posted to work on a space station orbiting Jupiter. Here he makes some good friends but all is not well. There are undercurrents of mistrust because Grant also is linked with The 'New Morality', a religious society that some think to oppressive maybe even fanatical.
Life is about to be found on Jupiter and this will put Grants beliefs to the test not only in his friends but in the teachings of the New Morality.
The tension between the religious members of the station and the scientists will reach breaking point. Grant will ultimately be the pivotal crux that will see the station, the crew there and the newly discovered life on Jupiter all hanging in a dangerous balance.
A wonderful story that thankfully does not rely too much on the previous books, Mars and Venus. There are...

Review of Jupiter - Ben Bova
Advantages: Lovely location, beautiful island, quality of food/hotel. Disadvantages: Costs quite a bit as it's all inclusive.
...HOTELJUPITER - ALCUDIA
-----------------------------------------------MY EXPERIENCE------------------------------------------------------------
Cor, this would have been years back but it was the greatest memory of a holiday that I?ve had. I am a big fan of visiting Spanish islands, especially Majorca in particular, the atmosphere is great, everyone is chilled, laid-back and friendly. What more could you want than sun, sea, sand and sangria. Hopefully the experience I write about will encourage you to go to this wonderful place. Being honest I visited there at least 5 years ago, and it definitely appears so much better when you are there, than in the magazine. There are more positive things to say than negative, so please carry on reading.
Just browsing through brochures of holidays this one immediately caught our eye, (look...
Advantages: EXCELLENT HOTEL Disadvantages: NOTHING
...Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC
My wife and I have stayed here a couple of times, always in March and yes you?ve probably guessed, it?s when Crufts is on at the NEC.
Strange but a few years ago you had to book wayyy way in advance to get a room but with this recession where all going through, getting a room is easy. I suppose the stick that Crufts came under last year didn?t help either but anyhow getting back to the hotel.
You can easily book a room and they vary in price from £120 to £220 depending on things such as lake view, breakfast included or evening meal and breakfast. But as March approaches then the room prices tend to rocket.
The room is a standard large bedroom and a bathroom.
What more to add to the room? It comes with TV, Kettle, Ironing equip, small table and 2 comfy chairs. We...
Advantages: Excellent management, very good performance. Disadvantages: Now a fairly large fund.
...At just over a billion pounds, this fund is three times the size of the average for the sector but only a third of the size of the largest in the sector. With 225% growth over 5 years and 525% over 10 years it has outperformed the sector average by a factor of 1.5. Richard Pease's management has kept this fund in the first quartile for most of the last eight years, not returning less than 15% annual growth since 1992. It currently forms a small but growing part of my portfolio, with my main European funds being T.U. European and Invesco GT European Growth. Jupiter have an extremely good reputation and, (according to the Jupiter Report from Hargreaves Lansdown) despite recent occurrences, their managers have been secured for the foreseeable future, and are not expected to defect to anything set up by John Duffield, Jupiter's former...
Advantages: Location, toiletries Disadvantages: Expensive if not booked through third party website
...I've stayed at The Strand Palace a number of times. I generally pay around £85 per night for a double room although I book through a third party as booking directly through the hotel seems to cost in excess of £100 per night.
I've no idea why it's listed as 2 star on here given that its 3 star everywhere else. The rooms are a decent size and always clean. The bathroom is stocked with Pascal Morabito toiletries which I appreciate. There's a tv with sky channels, pay wi-fi, hairdryer etc. The staff are very polite and willing to help.
With regard to location, the hotel is located on the Strand which is the prime hotspot for theatre-goers. It's very close to Covent Garden and there are a number of London guides provided in the room for those who are new to the city.
I have not tried the food at the hotel so I am unable to comment...
Advantages: An outstanding place to stay for any length of time. Disadvantages: Slightly high price though it is in the city area of London
...Introduction
This hotel is located close to the city of London in a vastly improved area of Hackney. The hotel is owned by entrepreneurs Simon Wright and John Pallagi. One time, during 2009 I watched a particular episode of ?The Apprentice? and some of the lucky business task winners were sent here to have a night at this exact hotel. I then later checked the website to book one night stay at this hotel and I was impressed throughout my visit from start to finish. Booking a room here made me special as to say I was surrounded by successful business people and people wanting to enjoy a stylish and sophisticated night stay at this excellent hotel.
Location
The hotel is located in the east end of London, which is an area full of yuppies, wealthy businessmen, and city workers. The place itself is quite straightforward to...

Review of Hoxton Hotel, London
...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:
Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...
