...Mauritius has always sounded like and advertised as the dream tropical island and when you book with your travel agent or on the web you are driven by the white beaches, luxury hotels and the vision of a tropical island. The le Coco Beach hotel is situated on its own white beach perfectly clean and manicured each morning. The hotel is only a 3 star hotel and its fair to say, showing its age. We had a room overlooking the beach it was clean and the sheets and towels were changed each day. the bathroom was a big dissapointment mold on the tiles and fitting falling off. The hotel did do there bestto rectify the problems however it did take the edge off the excellent servic of the staff. We were going to upgrade to a superior bungalow, but overall the room with its view was the better option. our package was all...

...On my recent holiday to Malta i stayed in Le Meridien Hotel, located in Saint Julian's. I would not normally have stayed in a 5 star hotel, but I was lucky enough to win some money towards a holiday from the company that I work for. Obviously, with free money, you are going to push the boat out a bit, and I am glad we did!! Location/Area We arrived at the hotel in the dark, quite late on a Friday night. The taxi brought us round a few small streets and then up quite a steep hill, thus bringing us to the reception of the hotel. My first impression was that it was in quite a strange location, but this is because i had only just seen where we were, and also it was dark, so everything seems different. Le Spa, a day in Paradise

Advantages: Elegant, Beautiful and very relaxing
Disadvantages: The cost of the treatments can mount quickly.

...A couple of years ago, my parents were trying to decide what to get me for my birthday, and decide to treat me to a stay at Le Spa. My friend who lives in the area and is a member of Le Spa's Gym decided to spend the day having treatments with me. I was advised to arrive at the hotel at 9am to book in for my treatments whilst having a relaxing cup of tea. During which time, my luggage would be taken to my room and the booking in forms would be delivered to me during lunch. Cool, I thought no rushing around with checking in and booking treatments before everything was fully booked. I duly arrived at 9am, and headed for the entrance. Kyriad Hotel, Magny-le-Hongre - Nothing bad but nothing special

Advantages: Clean, good shuttle bus service
Disadvantages: Not much to do, just a pit stop for Disney Land

...I stayed at this hotel in October 2007 and had a pleasant stay. The welcome area is clean and friendly, with a small bar and a shop near the check in desk. There's also a small toddlers indoor play area in this area. This is probably the nicest part of the complex, although it is pretty small. The corridors are quite dark and dull, but the rooms are decent and have traditional decor. I remember the beds being quite comfortable, which was nice after staying in an extremely uncomfortable Holiday Inn bed the night before. The outside is decorated nicely, with plants and flowers and is kept very tidy. However, the eating area was a disappointment and was basically a cafeteria. The food was quite nice and you could keep going up for more, but there was no atmosphere and it felt like everyone had been shoved in there not because they wanted to...

...What a fantastic hotel. It's has a beach from location so it's just seconds away from the white sands and turquise seas. Simply breathtaking!!!! The hotel isnt cramed into a small area...it's set on a spacious estate, about 80 acres. There are coconut trees spread out around the area, and looks very tropical. For 3 star plus hotel, you dont get anything better than this in Mauritius. It has everything you need. You have the option to do either half board or all inclusive. In my experience, do the all inclusive. The food in the restaurants are deliciuos. The hotel has many facilties and is ideal if you have small children. ...In my opinion the only thing going for this hotel was the location. We went for 10 nights Christmas 2008 I had booked the Corinthia Atlantic but changed a week before we were due to go. Worse mistake ever. Upon arrival the hotel was extreamly basic like expected well worse really- I know its The Gamia but all the other hotels seemed much better. Our first room was filthy all the plug sockets were hanging from the wall and the place smelt really bad. I had paid for a superior room and was told this was superior. We eventually moved rooms to one where the paint was at least one colour on the walls but it was still filthy. Towels varied from pink to grey to stained to unusable. Breakfast was always no bread, no cups. Bumsters hand around too. If you want real Gambia its all quiet real - you dont need to stay in a dirty hotel. I...

Disadvantages: No beach, lost sister Hotel Grand Oasis, the 5.30am sunbed securing

...Just returned from this hotel, very nice clean friendly hotel with a fantastic restaurant, but my only gripe is that the hotel is no longer part of the 'Tropicana' group and as such the deal is off as far as using the 'Tropicana Grand Oasis' facilities and beach! It's now owned by 'Amarante' This makes a huge crimp in your stay firstly as a beach user or snorkeller as Garden Palms has no beach and the bus service run by the hotel now takes you to a local public beach about 20 mins away, as you can imagine the beach is crammed full, so it is difficult to get shade when you need it and it's not particularly clean, second problem that arises from the 'no beach' situation is that if you want to sit around the pool a bed needs to be secured with your towel by 6am, this is made a problem by not enough beds for everyone and no-where else to...

Jeff Costello (Alain Delone) then jumps into a car, with a set of master keys. He starts the car, and smokes a cigarette. Eventually he finds the right key by good luck and drives off.
