Most of the people I knew had stayed in the Hotel Cheyenne which was one of the cheaper hotels on the resort but we decided that we wanted to stay closer to the Disney village and parks and so we decided to stay in the Hotel New York...

Bentley Hotel - New York New York!!!!
Advantages: Clean, nice rooms - amazing views from roof top balcony
Disadvantages: 24 Hour coffee bar was actually a vending machine!!
...My lovely husband booked a short stay in New York for my ?surprise? 30th birthday. This was in 2002 and we went there at the beginning of October of that year. Just as a side note before I start the review of the hotel, the weather was fantastic and for much of the time we went out regularly in T-shirts.

Fab priced hotel in the thick of New York City!
Advantages: Cheap, right by Times Square, friendly staff
Disadvantages: Rooms may be too small for some fussy travellers!
...When I was booking a holiday for my partner and I to go to New York, I did a lot of research about hotels, locations, sight-seeing spots etc and then tried to find the best one out of a huge list I made.
