Hotel Paradise Park, Tenerife - Great Base

Advantages: Good food
Disadvantages: Mega Hill

I would recommend you do this on a Thursday as there is a market that sells lots of t-shirts,A frican goods, handbags, jewellry, etc. Torviscas is definately a little bit more up-market than Los Cristianos. ************NEGATIVE*********** The hill that the Paradise Park sits on - only the very fit could walk up and down it !!! Easier option take a taxi as it's only 3 Euro oneway, and they are really easy to get. *********POSITIVE********** The spa complex next door is really peaceful. Great to pamper yourself in. ***********OVERALL********** Would I go again? Yes. I really liked this hotel. The room was great and the food was super. With both of those and a dose of sunshine, what more could you ask for....

Norbreck Castle Hotel - Armish Paradise

Advantages: It has 18 wheeler in the arcade!
Disadvantages: It has secret communes of people hidden away...

...I'm laughing as I'm writing this, because I simply cannot believe what we've just experienced! We booked with National Holidays and were given The Norbreck Castle as a dwelling place! I got onto the net and couldn't believe my luck when I was presented with beautiful pictures of a fantastic castle with amazing facilities! We travelled down on the coach looking forward to our stay at this amazing castle! The coach arrived and my jaw quite simply hit the floor. It looks like an eastern european prison. The driver on the coach then announced, "Oh, and by the way folks, you can't check into your rooms untill 3pm!" Which was great, considering it was 10am. We entered the hotel and were greeted with a wonderful 1970s reception with lovely wooden revolving doors which felt as if they were about to fall off. Everything from the reception...

Paradis Park Hotel - Definitely NOT paradise!!!!

Advantages: Able to get it last minute, nice surrounding area
Disadvantages: Food, Staff, Price, Other guests, the room....... everything else

...It was pure chance that we stayed at the Paradis Park Hotel in Pineda De Mar. Whilst looking for a cheap and cheerful last minute deal to get some sun I spotted a package to the Calella Palace Hotel through Teletext holidays online. After a bit of research the decision was made to book it, however, the dates we wanted weren't available. We were offered an allocation on arrival for the same price, or for an extra £45 each we could have an alternative named hotel of the same rating. Being unadventurous I opted for the latter and was given the choice of the Alexis Hotel (I had previously read reviews all of which were bad) and the Paradis Park Hotel. Advantages: Real Chocolate with no nasty additives. Prompt delivery. Good discounts. Delicious.

...We had tried to book one of the posh hotels in Bath but alas all were full or so prohibitively expensive that we couldnt afford them, so we opted for a guest house instead. However, Paradise House is no ordinary Guest house as we soon discovered. We booked through laterooms.com whom we have often used and found very good in general and were looking forward ot a lovely relaxation trip to Bath and all its wonders. Paradise is...?

Advantages: Quirky, surprisingly intriguing
Disadvantages: Not exactly a flattering portrayal of the Fins!

Played by Matti Pellonpaa (who also starred in Tatiana), he is a greasy, lank-haired man who says very little - partly due to shyness, partly because he has nothing of interest to say. Should be called Honeymooners Paradise

Advantages: Very quiet and romantic
Disadvantages: A little expensive

...Firstly I would not rate paradise cove as 3 star hotel. This is up there on 4/5. It is not quite 5 star but the quality is there to be seen. It is set in enclosed grounds with a private (man made) beach. The views from the rooms is stunning, however some rooms have Palm tress obstructing you line of sight. It is the perfect place to go on Honeymoon (most of the clients are honeymooners). The staff are very friendly and always looking to help. They go as far as remebering each guests names to add the little bit of personal touch to the whole experience. The food is well prepared and meals are good. There is usually a set menu with a few choices, however if you talk to the staff in the morning they will see what they can do if you request (I stayed 14 days..requested on 12 of them!).
