Entertainment - Staff provide the entertainment 7 days a week, they really put the hearts into it and out on a good show...the full monty is not to be missed! This hotel has 12 floors, and it is not so bad being at the top as you have no noise from above and the lift is always empty when it eventually arrives, (i know, i was on the 12th floor). My experience of this hotel was last year (2004) since which it has been refurbished. I believe it now has air conditioning, tv in all rooms, new bar and pool area and better lifts....

Escada Rockin' Rio!

Advantages: Pretty smell, different from the rest!
Disadvantages: Not as strong as the rest so doesn't stay for as long!

...Escada Rockin? Rio I got this perfume in a Collector?s Edition pack of 5 Escada Perfumes; Island kiss, Rockin? Rio, Pacific Paradise, Sunset Heat and Ibiza Hippie. I first heard of Escada when I bought Pacific Paradise on the Ferry on the way to Italy, from then on the smell always reminded me of that holiday, and became one of my favourite perfumes. So when I saw this pack for £12.50 for 5 small bottles (4ml each), I just had to buy them to try them all, so I could choose my favourite one! And I must say they were all delicious! With such strong fruity smells which stuck around all day, my only problem was there wasn?t enough of it in the bottles, and I tended to use half a bottle each time I used it! Here you'll find the Hotel Monterrey (dowdy and expensive) and the Hotel Rio Lisboa (even more so) which are both ok if there is nothing else available. Monte Blanco is probably the best budget option in the area. All rooms come with a bathroom, terrestrial TV and noisy air-conditioning. Discounts are available if you are staying for a week or more although a couple of days here, while you find your feet, may be enough. The staff speak English and on the whole are helpful. Another option is Hotel Vitoria. This is a little shabby with a warren of rooms scattered down several badly lit corridors. ...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season.
