...A lovely, friendly hotel located in small historical market town of Bawtry I love this little down, just down the road from my parents in Doncaster (home to the famous St Leger). When I was living in the area, I often popped in to the Crown for an evening meal, or a drink with friends and have recently, on a visit back to my old stomping ground, stayed at the hotel. What to Expect A friendly welcome, good food, nice rooms everythig you would expect from a good quality hotel. The Crowns website nailed it on the head when they said " Step into the Crown and you will immediately discover a chic, idyllic retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life". It really is a pleasurable experience staying here. What to Do I was there for a wedding, so I didn't do much other than drinks lots of champagne, eat lots of food...

The Royal Albion Hotel, Brighton

...Introduction to the hotel: The Royal Albion Hotel was built in 1826 and is situated in a fantastic location opposite Brighton pier. It is a three star hotel and has 186 guest rooms offering views of Brighton beach or the town centre. My experience of the hotel: I spent one night in the hotel in January of this year and for a three star hotel I was quite impressed. I and my girlfriend booked a double room for £55 and it was a spacious room with a four poster bed, couch, satellite television, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely modern bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. When we checked in the hotel staff asked us if we would like to upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi batch for £10, we said no, but were a bit intrigued to find one anyways - they had obviously given our room away and were trying to get the extra £10 out...

Royal Terrace Hotel

Advantages: Great location, lovely entrance areas
Disadvantages: very shabby in bedrooms

...there is a hotel with a similar name. We tried to get in (it was locked) and even buzzed for the porter- too late we noticed the sign telling us that this was not the Royal Terrace Hotel. We found our hotel a bit further down the street, and after parking the car, went in. I have to mention that a down side to this hotel is that it doesn?t have a car park, and the car has to be parked on the street. Royal connections but not that luxurious -Durham Marriott hotel

...Durham Marriot Hotel Royal County Old Elvert, Durham DH1 3JN A BIT OF SCENE SETTING: This hotel is part of the Marriott chain but is an old hotel which was once the home of Elizabeth Bowes an ancestor of the Queen Mother. Apparently it was often visited when it was privately owned by Edward VII when he was up in Durham. It has had quite a large series of extensions and now boasts 150 bedrooms, some of which are suites and family rooms all and have en suite bathrooms ( As you might expect in a hotel I would have thought). This is a four star hotel right in the centre of Durham so perfect for a city break as you can park your car in the hotel (complimentary) car park and walk round the city which is very compact and just a hop over the road from the hotel. ...The Hotel Royal Kenz in the Resort of Port El Kantaoui in Tunisia was recently my Home for 7 nights between the 2nd and 9th July 2006. The Holiday itself was a last minute booking but the Girl at the Travel Agent's said that She had stayed at this Hotel and that it was superb. The hotel is nice, but it is very tired looking. It is situated on its own beach which is good, and they were always plenty of sun loungers, which was good considering the amount of people in the hotel. After a few days, I realised why. ...a nice feel to them you can feel the build quality in the rooms the beds are comfortable the desk is made from oak tree they look and feel great. One thing that I usually find with hotel room bathrooms is that they are small and in fact too small I feel like I don?t have enough space to stand in them and that it cannot be comfortable. However the bathrooms in the Crowne Plaza are perfect they just look beautiful and posh. I had enough space to stand around; I had space to put my clothes and enough room to shave without banging into the mirror I guess you can get my point.
