Tulip Garden restaurant

Advantages: Great food, very friendly staff, great service!
Disadvantages: Absolutely none

...the main street for the first time when I saw Tulip Garden with their orange decorations, Dutch banners etc., I thought "Hm, looks nice but I wanna eat at a Turkish place when I'm n Turkey!" and I didn't think we'd consider going to eat there. But as this restaurant was pretty close to our hotel, one evening we wanted to go eat out and in the damp hot weather we were lazy to go far, so we decided on Tulip Garden and didn't regret it. We enjoyed the place thoroughly as the staff are really nice guys, they come talk to you every now and then, they always make sure you have a fresh drink, that you like your meal and often bring a bowl of fresh fruit that goes on the house. Hôtel Restaurant La Flambée -dine in style but bedrooms plain.

Advantages: Beautiful dining room
Disadvantages: Bedrooms adequate but not elegant.

...We stayed at the Hôtel Restaurant La Flambée in Bergerac in November 2008 for two nights and enjoyed breakfast and dinner. What follows is an honest account as possible about the hotel as I can provide. Hopefully this may help if you are planning to visit this part of the world. We flew to Bordeaux but the most convenient airport for the hotel is actually in Bergerac as the hotel lies about 2 miles outside the town. Incase you are not familiar with this part of the world these places are in the main wine growing areas, and are in South West France. Flying time from the UK is about an hour and a half if you are flying from the London areas. Easyjet will take you to Bordeaux from Luton, likewise British Airways will fly you from Gatwick, and Ryanair will fly you from Stansted to Bergerac. I didn't see no silver springs but, I did find a good bed!

...I stayed at the Silver springs hotel during at the end of April 2009 during a work trip - the hotel is a 4* property that is located in Cork and is literally on the outskirts of the city centre as you come of the main road leading into Cork. It is a fairly large hotel for it's location with plenty of facilities and I was looking forward to experiencing his hotel. First impressions: As you come down the main road from Cork airport the hotel is located on the right hand side. However to get to it you must take the exit to the left hand side which takes you over the bridge and across to the hotel. This is because the hotel is built on a slight hill. Advantages: Reasonably priced, clean, accom, two pools, free sunbeds, free internet
Disadvantages: A bit quiet for tennagers and certainly not clubs and bars bearby if you like that

Grand View Garden Hotel

Advantages: beautiful gardens free to visit, good location, very clean and polite staff
Disadvantages: expensive internet

When you leave the hotel there is a car bay where taxis and bus pull up on. If you stand out there some of the staff will call a taxi cab over for you to take you where ever you wanted. The heart of Beijing (Tian Square) was a short 5minute taxi ride and cost no more than £2 for 4 of us!! When we came home from our day out instead of eat in the hotel we walked 10 minutes up the street to the local restuarants. Anyway, the other hotels were all full or too expensive for this particular night and I was on the lookout for something central in the same kind of price range. I noticed The Gardens hotel on Piccadilly as I walked passed but it looked a bit grotty so I carried on going. There are many other budget hotels in that area so I popped my head in a couple but with no joy. On the way back to the car, (which by now, in my mind would be long since ticketed/clamped/towed away) I thought I would just have a nose in the Gardens and see what it was like.
