Stay In Style

Advantages: Great location, bargain, friendly staff, sparklingly clean
Disadvantages: doesn't do meals

...What The Hotel Says About Itself The Style Hotel is situated in the centre of Mogliano Veneto at about 100m from the railway station. The Hotel is the ideal destination for a tourist holiday as it permits thier own guests to reach Venice in only 10 minutes without using the car thanks to 50 daily trips of railway traffic. The hotel is also very useful for businessmen as it is placed just halfway from the industrial areas of Trviso and Venice-Mestre. The rooms have been refurnished with taste and they all offer a high standard of comfort. They are all fitted with a shower or bath and some of them are fitted with a Jacuzzi. All flooring is parquet or moquette and have been made with anallergic and hygienic materials. Services & Features Free Parking Disabled Access and lifts Cots Available Bar Free entrance to local Casino Fax...

Illuminating the Night with Light in Style

Advantages: Powerful, lightweight, highly practical, stylish and excellent value for money.
Disadvantages: A bit too strong. Struggles with thicker books.

...INTRODUCTION On Thursday, 12th November one of my most epic searches finally came to and end in the most unlikely of locations. In the Christmas stocking filler section of our local garden centre, nestled amongst other little gadgets and gizmos, I found ?The Really Tiny Book Light?. Let me get something straight from the get go ? it wasn?t as if I was searching for something perfect ? I just wanted a serviceable book light to allow me to read at night when my wife preferred to go to sleep. However, my quest for a reliable book light stretches back three Christmases and two birthdays and I have a pile of rejects and failures that would justify a car boot sale table all by themselves. So it was with a mixture of excitement and trepidation that I took this little gadget to the cash desk, hoping it would finally turn out to be ?the...

Old style gaming without violence - Hotel Dusk for DS

Advantages: A deep and atmospheric game
Disadvantages: Possibly a bit wordy and linear in gameplay

...Hotel Dusk : Room 215 is a detective and puzzle game for the Nintendo DS. It reminds me of games I used to play on the Amiga which were essentially point and click adventure games, where the game play and storyline was relatively set but gave the player lots of different options to explore the world built up by the programmers. The game appealed to me, as I'm really not that good at games which involve fighting other characters and jumping from platform to platform with precision timing, primarily as I'm hopeless at them and progress takes a long time. The plot is important to the game, and you take the role of the main character, Kyle Hyde, and you have to track down your missing friend by exploring the hotel. The game is set in 1979, in Los Angeles. In terms of game play, you will have to like reading to enjoy playing this game...

Off the Wall-E!

Advantages: Clever animation
Disadvantages: None

...Most of the mums and dads out there will have enjoyed the recent serge of cartoons that make kids feel like adults or the ones that make adults feel like kids, stuffed full of in-jokes for the grown ups like the family are with popcorn (the worlds biggest mark-up on a food snack!) in the cinemas, a great way to get the whole family into those multiplexes as they gulp their bumper Cokes and the money roles in. But with WALL- E we have the first real carton aimed at adults that the kids can watch too, if they are well-behaved, politically aware pixel animation definitely the future. It really is a smart commercial more by Pixel and a really clever little flick to-boot that they have come up with here, comfortably one of the best films of the year, one you can watch over and over again. I don't normally fall for the hype that the likes...

Hôtel Restaurant La Flambée -dine in style but bedrooms plain.

Advantages: Beautiful dining room
Disadvantages: Bedrooms adequate but not elegant.

...We stayed at the Hôtel Restaurant La Flambée in Bergerac in November 2008 for two nights and enjoyed breakfast and dinner. What follows is an honest account as possible about the hotel as I can provide. Hopefully this may help if you are planning to visit this part of the world. We flew to Bordeaux but the most convenient airport for the hotel is actually in Bergerac as the hotel lies about 2 miles outside the town. Incase you are not familiar with this part of the world these places are in the main wine growing areas, and are in South West France. Flying time from the UK is about an hour and a half if you are flying from the London areas. Easyjet will take you to Bordeaux from Luton, likewise British Airways will fly you from Gatwick, and Ryanair will fly you from Stansted to Bergerac. This area is great as it is possible to use as...

The Walls of Time

Advantages: Stunning views, good exercise
Disadvantages: A long, long way up

...Kotor is a beautiful little town on the Montenegro coast. It's a natural harbour and is a real jewel of the Adriatic. I'm going to write another review about the town - this one is about one the main attractions of Kotor - its City Walls. When we arrived in the town we looked up from the hustle and bustle of the medieval cobbled streets lined with busy bars and gazed at the walls which creep up the mountainside, apparently disappearing into oblivion. Montenegro means "Black Mountain", and wherever you stand on the coast, the skyline is dominated by the gloom of the mountains just beyond the town. We contemplated the climb - the heat was intense in the middle of the day - pushing 35 or 36 degreed Celsius, and it looked a long, long way up. The walls snake along as far as the eye can see, and you can just make out the colourful little...

Meet Wall E.......

Advantages: Fun and entertaining for the whole family
Disadvantages: None

...space until Earth was cleaned up and life could return to normal. However it has been many, many, years since the humans left to live aboard the spaceship and Wall E is the only robot left of his kind still in operation and so every day he goes about clearing up rubbish and then goes to his 'home' - a rundown vehicle that he has decorated with lights and trinkets he has found over the years. He is used to be on his own apart from his pet cockroach until one day a space ship deposits a more modern robot on Earth that has come to look for sustainable life forms. This is Eve and Wall E is transfixed by her following her around everywhere. One day he shows her his home and this is where he gives Eve a plant he found - this is where trouble starts as this is what Eve has been sent to look for and so she goes into a state of 'shutdown' until...

Hotel International

Advantages: Location, breakfasts
Disadvantages: Poor rooms

...including breakfast. Breakfast is not automatically included, it is an extra Euro7.50 per day per person. THE EXPERIENCE: We arrived at the hotel at about 8pm. The reception area is small. We assumed that they would speak English but tried out our limited French anyway, along with our hilarious 'Allo 'Allo style accents. Thankfully our French was not tested too greatly - although some of the reception staff at other times were less proficient in English so a vague idea of hotel French may be beneficial. We were given the enormous key after paying the remainder of the balance (I had paid one night's deposit before we left the UK) and directed to the lift. It was absolutely tiny, although I know we were lucky to have one at all in Paris! It would just about fit the two of us in and we're both fairly slim. Its claim to hold a maximum...

Wall-E Review

Advantages: Everything!
Disadvantages: I can't think of anything

...Wall-E is a story about a little refuse collecting robot who has been left to clean up the mess we humans have left behind after we fled the earth. Wall-E is all alone on earth except for a pet cockroach. It's when EVE comes to earth that story picks up. EVE is a sleek (and dangerous) reconnaissance robot, sent to earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable. WALL-E falls in love with Eve and so when she leaves on a massive ship he hitches along and learns more than he could ever imagine. I'm gonna say straight off that I love this film, it seems that Pixar can do no wrong and with Wall-E they have created one the cutest, most loveable characters ever seen on screen. As Wall-E doesn't talk there are long periods with no dialogue but this is never boring and you're so thoroughly entertained you'll wonder where the time went...

Disney Pixar raise the bar again with Wall-E

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: Nothing

...I am sure I am not alone in being a parent of a child who has begged me to take him to watch Wall-E at the cinema since the film first started being advertised a few months ago. Disney Pixar's latest wonderful collaboration had my son hooked from the first ad on TV. He laughed his head off and I thought, 'How could I deny that?!' So, last week, with rubbish British Summer weather, we headed off to our local cinema for pick'n'mix and some Disney magic. The Plot Wall-E is set in a future where the world has changed. The company Buy'N'Large has monopolised the world and turned it into a rubbish site, with piles off rubbish littering its entirety. The human race has long since discovered space travel and made the trip into space on a huge space boat to live until Earth is suitable for a return. Back on Earth, we meet Wall-E, a robot...
