...On the weekend the present Mr Tart and myself went to a ball in London. The original plan had been to stay on a friend's sofa but we decided that we wanted to make a proper weekend of it. After a donation from my aunt to 'make sure we had a good time' we decided to stay in a hotel. We had a budget of £100, so after a lot of Internet searching for a bargain I found the Paddington Court Best Western Shaftesbury Hotel. Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, London It's More Than A Hotel!

Advantages: Pleasant Staff, Good Customer Service, Nice Breakfast
Disadvantages: Expensive

...the hotel smell fresh and clean. The Victoria Park Plaza is excellent for business trips or short luxury breaks. The only thing I will say is that the walls were paper thin and you can hear what is going on in the next room. The man in the next room was a business man and he stayed up on his phone talking till about 3.0 clock which was really annoying because we couldn't sleep. Then when we woke up in the morning the man had the cheek to shout at us for talking. Unfortunately this is the case with most hotels like this in London. Hopefully you won't get a bed next to a busy businessman's room. The Park Plaza Victoria Hotel has 287 air-conditioned guest rooms, including Executive Rooms, Studios and Suites, plus 12 one and two-bedroom apartments. Superb London Budget Hotel

Advantages: Beautiful setting in a buzzing part of London
Disadvantages: Not suitable for disabled people - no lift

...The Ashley Hotel is a superb, well-priced B&B hotel in a gorgeous location in central London. It is situated in Norfolk Square, Paddington, and is just 2 minutes walk from Paddington station. Paddington itself is a buzzing district of London adjacent to the West End, and is packed full of shops, restaurants, bars etc. Norfolk Square is an oasis of tranquility amongst this. It is a square (obviously) of tall, elegant Victorian mansions, all of which have been turned into budget hotels. The hotels are painted white and cream, and have tall windows and beautiful old railings outside. In the centre of them all is a railed garden. Apex City of London Hotel - outstanding

Advantages: Lovely staff, beautiful rooms, modern hotel
Disadvantages: Slightly out of the way of the West End

...We wanted to stay somewhere in central London that was value for money, and found this brilliant hotel for only £69 per night. We booked directly with the hotel itself, and while the system can be a little frustrating the transaction went through smoothly. This was in December 2008, so we didn't expect any decent hotels so close to Christmas to be so cheap. While this hotel is a little out of the way of main attractions it is close to the Tower of London, and to Tower Bridge and easily accessible by bus and tube. On arriving by tube, we found the hotel was alittle bit tricky to find, and were saved only by the fact that by boyfriend's phone has sat-nav! Wonderful hotel in London, I would highly recommend it!

Advantages: Brilliant location, modern rooms, clean and friendly.
Disadvantages: None I can really think of, if I had to mention something it'd be the pricey internet.

Easy Hotel London Victoria.

Advantages: Great value hotel. Right in the heart of London. Lovely staff.
Disadvantages: None that i can think of.

...I will start by saying i love london. It is such a wonderful city for so many reasons: The shopping, the sights, the parks, the history,the nightlife, eating out, and the buzz of london city life. There is so much to see and do but staying in hotels in the centre of london can be VERY expensive. BUT not when you stay with easy hotels. I just want to say dont be put off having a great london break because of overpriced hotels. When me and my girlfreind go to london (2-3 times a year) we always stay at the easy hotel in VICTORIA. Right in the heart of the city FOR ONLY £35-£40 PER NIGHT AND THATS FOR THE TWO OF US!!!!!!!! Now in my opinion that is a great deal. OK you can spend £100s per night for a hotel with an over priced bar and an expensive resturant, and a bit more luxurious hotel. But what is the point of all this you are in...

...I stayed at this hotel when I went to London for a two night stay, it was a travel package which included coach travel down, we didn't know where we were staying until we got there and believe me if I had have known I wouldn't have gone. The outside looked okay and the lobby didn't look too bad either but then we went in our room, it was very dark and dull and very dated, it was fairly clean though. The toilet and shower were seperate the toilet needed updating also, there was tiles in it and they were cracked and looked as if they had been stuck on by somone who didn't know what they were doing. There was no bath just a stand alone shower squashed into a cupboard that was hidden with a door. The food- The travel package included breakfast and tea, there wasn't much choice, if your fussy your stuffed basically, and it was all cold...

...In my life, I had stayed in, to my knowledge...three hotels. When I made plans to go to London for a week over Easter, naturally I had to work out some sort of accommodation! I didn't have any preferences, apart from the fact that it had to have free wireless connection. I had stayed in just the one hotel in London prior to this trip, and that was the Travelodge. That was just a little trip with the school Campaigns and Fundraising group to claim an award, so I had no involvement with booking. ...Embassy Suites On a recent visit to California, I was booked into this hotel because it was close to places I had to visit for work. The hotel itself is only a short drive from the airport (it took about half an hour in a hire car, and not knowing where I was going) and is located in La Jolla which is apparently quite an affluent area, featuring banks and houses and hotels as well as restaurants and a rather nice shopping mall. It's easy to drive into the hotel and should you ask for it there is valet parking in the high rise car park, but I just parked round the back of the hotel. Once inside the hotel, check in was quick and efficient and I was immediately impressed with the well set out entrance lobby featuring some nice little touches such as plentiful flowers.
