ARUNDEL HOTEL, BLACKPOOL
Advantages: Quiet location,competitive rates,clean & homely
Disadvantages: Distance from Blackpool centre, hospitality (see below, my verdict)
...I visited Blackpool with my husband and our two children during the Easter holidays, we stayed for three days and two nights in a three star hotel in the North pier area of Blackpool. We won our stay on an Ebay auction but the hotel can also obviously be booked in a more traditional manner (by phone, post or email).

Hilton Avisford Park, Arundel
Advantages: Superb location. Comfortable, relaxing hotel, steeped in history. Superb staff.
Disadvantages: Loud Christmas parties tended to conflict with the country hotel ethos!
...We have just returned from a two-night stay at the (correctly-named) Avisford Park Hilton near Arundel on the south coast of England. Described by Hilton themselves as an hotel where ?You can live like a Baronet. After all, it was once the home of Baronet Montagu, Admiral and friend of Lord Nelson. Set in 89 acres of lovely gardens and parkland in England's south downs, Avisford park is as majestic now as it ever was?, we were really looking forward to our stay. It was the end of Amanda?s term at school and she really needed to be whisked away to somewhere peaceful. And that?s just what I did. On a cold, foggy December afternoon, Amanda, baby Josh and I all piled into the car and headed off for this seemingly delightful country retreat.
The Journey
...was somewhat traumatic. The weather was against us and it took about 2 1...

Hilton Hotel Avisford Park
Advantages: Spacious & quiet
Disadvantages: Poor food/facilities
...My partner booked this hotel for 2 mid-week nights as a surprise treat for my birthday, she chose this location as it was near-by to the very beautiful Arundel and selected the Hilton as we had never stayed at one before but believed their name to be synomonous with "excellence".
On first arriving our impressions were of a lovely old building that had retained all its original features, set in extensive well-maintained grounds (although most of it seemed to be a golf course) with sufficient parking for all.
Check-in was friendly and quick before we were directed in the general direction of our room. As we turned into the corridor the first thing that hit us was the strong smell of chlorine permeating throughout, secondly was our ascension up three flights of stairs to our top floor room, laden down with our luggage this was quite...

The Strand Palace Hotel
Advantages: Central location, clean
Disadvantages: Food, rooms
...We stayed at this hotel in London a little over a month ago now for two nights, we chose this hotel mainly because of the central location and because it was only a ten minuite walk from the show we had booked to go too.
Check in was very quick - About ten minuites and the staff at the reception seemed very friendly.
My first thoughts on the hotel was that it looked really clean and that it was nicely decorated and it looked modern.
I was a little dissapointed with our room as it was very small and basic, our room had a double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a tv with satellite and a small, basic en suite bathroom with a shower.
The views from our room very very poor - A block of offices which made our room dark as they were so close.
The hotel has two bars and two resturaunts, the bars were again nicely decorated...

Hotel International
Advantages: Location, breakfasts
Disadvantages: Poor rooms
...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:
Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

Booking.com helps hotels cheat customers.
Advantages: extensive database of hotels, many quite inexpensive
Disadvantages: if a hotel cheats you, they will apologize, but do nothing.
...Booking.com: Colluding with Corrupt Hotel Owners to Cheat Customers?
I am sorry to have to write this review, but I have tried for months to get Booking.com to address my complaint. I have reserved rooms using this service in the past, and have been very pleased. This, however, came to an end this summer.
I booked a room at the Travel Inn in Reykjavik, only to find, upon arrival, that my wife, son, and myself were escorted to a car with no explanation. Eventually the clerk told us that we would be driven to the "other" location. The Travel Inn has, it seems, bought space in the Pavi Guesthouse (over a mile away). I would have refused on principle, but I know the situation in Reykjavik is such that I might have had no options. We were driven there, the driver stopped along the way to encourage me to withdraw money from...

Comfortable, clean, but needs a bit of an up-date.
Advantages: Close to City Centre and overlooks River Cam
Disadvantages: Rooms need the same treatment the communal areas have had.
...Arundel House Hotel is on Chesterton Road, directly overlooking the River Cam and only a 5 minute walk from Cambridge City Centre. It has been developed from a row of terraced houses and whilst this doesn't take away from it as a whole it does affect the setting out of the interior of the hotel - mainly corridors, rooms and bathrooms.
I live in Cambridge and had never stayed here before but a friend booked a room for a night away as an anniversary present for my husband and I.
The hotel is very clean and stylish but the rooms do not match the quality of the rest of the hotel. The restaurant, bar and conservatory areas are clean, smart, reasonably stylish (depending on your taste!) and comfortable but the room failed to live up to my expectation for a hotel in a prime location with communal areas to such high standards.
There...

sachas hotel
Advantages: good price,great location
Disadvantages: no window
...****Sachas hotel- Manchester****
I booked this hotel last minute as i had a job interview in Manchester and needed somewhere quite cheap ,that was also near the centre.
**Location/Getting there**
This hotel is located in Tibb street which is a 2 minute walk from Piccadily Gardens or 10 minutes away from Chorlton street bus station. The Train station is a little bit further away say maybe a twenty minute walk but i don't think that this is that bad .You can also get a tram from Piccadily gardens and this goes to quite a few places. You could also get a taxi to the hotel but i am not sure what parking is like if you were to take your own car.
**Reception/staff**
Since i had never been to Manchester before i phoned and asked the staff for directions -they were very nice and helped me out. When i got there i think i got the same...

Further Information
Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in prague from my previous recent visits to this town I had noticed a big difference in the exchange rate from forty czech koruna's to one Pound to around thirty czech koruna to one Pound. So this place is slowly catching up being a relatively new member of the E.U. Though still from a travel journey it still represents a excellent few Days away from home...

ONE FOR THE HOTEL INSPECTOR
Advantages: Location, price & views
Disadvantages: Standard of rooms, maintenance issues, no parking & pretty much no standards
...AND PRICES
I went through a few major hotel websites and came across The Claremont Lions, which seemed a reasonable price and sounded like it was well situated and of a good standard compared to the rest of the hotels in Eastbourne. Well the write up made it sound like an amazing standard but having stayed in a lot of hotels I know that's normally nothing to go by. After deciding on the hotel we were going to use I set about getting some comparables and came up with the hotels own website being the most expensive at £80, Lastminute.com at £69 and Hotel pronto at £59 which seemed really reasonable especially as I could get 8% cash back from the cash back website I use.
It was simple to book online it took my 2 minutes to complete my details and my payment information. I was then sent an email confirmation and the hotel voucher.
Booking online...
