Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Advantages: Great rides, cheaper than some other parks
Disadvantages: Lacks the charm other parks have
...I visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach last year and I thought it was great value for money. The weather in Blackpool wasnt always great during my 4 day stay but this park didnt disappoint where ride were concerned or eating out. The general atmosphere of this park is happy and fun which is great for the family however the atmosphere here is nothing compared to theme parks like Disneyland or Universal Studios, but you get what you pay for with this park in the sense of good rides and entertainment.
To pay in to the park you need to buy wristbands, I think that if you want to get the best out of the park the Ultimate Daily Wristband is the best deal, however if you dont really want to do many rides or are not fit to for various physical reasons the Pleasure Beach Pass will probably be enough for you and then when in the park you can...

Blackpool Pleasure Beach....A Real Pleasure!
Advantages: Fantastic rides, fairly cheap, clean and tidy, a brilliant day out
Disadvantages: Some of the rides a bit uncomfortable, have to pay extra for some things
... Intro
I felt I would write a review on Blackpool Pleasure Beach as I have now been twice and feel I should let others know how great this place is. Being a big fan of themeparks, I was honestly hesitant to visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach as I imagined it being a few fairground rides and I genuinely didn't think it'd compare to other places I'd been to. However, it is now my favourite themepark of all time, and here's why...
PRICES
Adult tickets are usually around the £25 each mark, which is brilliant compared to places such as Alton Towers who charge around £36. Prices change throughout the year - for example, if you visit the park on June 10th, for two adults and two children it will only cost you £74.00. For two adults and two children to visit Alton Towers on the 10th June, it will cost you a much more expensive £102...

~ My Blackpool Pleasure ~
Advantages: Pleasure Beach, sealife centre, cost
Disadvantages: Pier amusements
...Supposedly Britain's favourite seaside resort my first and so far only visit to Blackpool was last here for my boyfriends birthday, we went for a long weekend, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it...we stayed in a cheap hotel, although it was cheap it was simple and clean, just right for getting your head down...
The Pleasure Beach was better than I expected with a wide range of rides, so many we couldn't fit them all in on one day...the pier was so-so and Blackpool in general was in a word FANTASTIC.
The Journey
From Swindon a supposed 4 hour journey, this however was not the case as we left middle of the afternoon (2pm) and hit all the traffic on the motorway. Ended up taking 6 hours!
The general motorway route is M5 then M6 then M55 junction 4. With my excellent map reading skills it...

Brilliant new addition to the pleasure beach
Advantages: Tummy turning and fast
Disadvantages: shame the classic log flume had to go for it!
...Infusion is the newest ride at the Pleasure beach - I say newest but, it has been there for just over two years now! As anyone will probably know who reads my reviews I do love the Pleasure beach and I remember quite clearly when I found out that the ride being built in the old log flume area was a coaster, I was very excited and followed it?s progress until it opened. This is one of my other favourite rides in the park along with the Big One and Valhalla.
Where in the park is it?
The ride is located in between the Big One and the Big Dipper coaster. The Ride sits on the old site of the log flume. It is very easy to spot as it is a bright blue colour. It is in a central position of the whole park and so whichever entrance you enter the park through you will have to walk to the middle of the park to get to it.
What...

Fun, Fun, Fun at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Advantages: All the rides are fantastic....
Disadvantages: Bling? Should be called Blink cos of the eye!
...Last week (21st - 28th August 2004), I have been on holiday at Blackpool. On Tuesday, I went to the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and I can tell you now, it was worth the wait and money to go there!
All the rides were fantastic.
This was my first time in the Pleasure Beach so I had to go on the Pepsi Max Big One.
What did I think to it? It was fantastic!! The first drop was exhilirating, whatever speed it was set at. The first time that I went on it was set to 85mph. I went on it 5 times. The 5th time was at night and this time it was set to 115MPH!! Now that's fast, but it seems much better than the other speeds. I will certainly not forget the first drop on the Big One.
I also went on Valhalla. This ride was the wettest that I have been on. Forget Pirate Adventure in Drayton Manor and the Log Flume at Alton Towers, even...

An Unexpected Pleasure!
Advantages: Thrilling rides; Not too pricey; Clean and friendly;
Disadvantages: Too many pier type stalls wanting extra money from you.
... An Unexpected Pleasure
*Say "Blackpool" to someone and you're likely to end up swapping stories of hen parties, stag nights and boozy days among the slots and tat. Certainly this has been my main experience to date ..... until last week.
*Blackpool Pleasure Beach - where?
The pleasure beach is situated at the south end of blackpool sea front, close to several large parking areas which are well signed from the motorway. Trams stop right outside and if you're really in the holiday mood there's even a horse and cart which runs from the promenade nearer the town centre! Train station central and south are both within walking distance or a taxi ride if you want to conserve you energy!
*How?
To get into the park you need to pay £5 for a ticket which you an pre-purchase online or buy on the day in the new posh ticket reception...

Go on spoil yourself at Blackpool
Advantages: Great day out for the whole family.
Disadvantages: lone queues
...I am a great fan of Blackpool pleasure beach, I have been going to the park ever since I was a child and I still continue to go now, It is never the same as it was the time before this are all ways getting added or updated, so it?s a new experience each time you go.
The one thing that I can remember about Blackpool Pleasure beach when I was a child was the laughing clown at the parks entrance, this used to scare the hell out of me, so whenever I return I always smile when I still see that same laughing clown sitting there.
Blackpool is great for a weekend break of the occasional family holiday, it has a number of other attractions, such as arcades, the tower, a casino, a sea life center, the north and south piers, shows, go karting, a zoo and not forgetting the pleasure beach.
The pleasure beach has over one hundred rides, which suit...

A Pleasure Filled Day
Advantages: Great rides for all the family
Disadvantages: The queues and some things expensive
...Blackpool Pleasure Beach was founded in 1896 with the aim of building an American style theme park which made adults feel like children again and has grown until over 100 years later it is now Britain?s top theme park and rates as the 14th most popular amusement park in the world. I have now joined the ranks of 5.5 million people flocking there annually and have visited twice, the first time in 2008 and we had such a good time there that we were inspired to book a short break in Blackpool in 2009 to visit the theme park again.
The Pleasure Beach is situated on Blackpool?s promenade just opposite the seafront. There is some limited parking in the areas around the Pleasure Beach, the last time we found a small private car park charging £5 for a days parking but there is also metered parking on the street. The park is also readily...

THE BEACH OF PLEASURE
Advantages: Good day out
Disadvantages: Pricey
...Blackpool Pleasure Beach is down the Southern end of Blackpool and cannot be missed at all! The endless pier and lighted streets along the sea front will take you the whole way to the pleasure beach. Over the years blackpool has become more and more popular. Some people look at Blackpool and call it a dump, it sort of was once. Nowadays Blackpool is in some ways a major holiday resort and thousands of people visit the place daily.
The thousands of arcades, the huge beach and rocky sea attracts attention to many tourists and UK travaillers daily. And thats not even mentioning the famous Pleasure Beach. During my stay up North a while ago now, I visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I'd visited it before but that was at least 3 years ago, things have since changed and the park has once again been improved dramatically.
Blackpool...

Pleasure Beach in a place called Blackpool...
Advantages: Variety of rides, places to eat. Free entrance. Discount prices at certain times. Wheelchair friendly.
Disadvantages: Can be queuing for some time. Some rides feel unsafe.
...Blackpool Pleasure Beach attracts around 6million visitors a year, which placed it joint 11th (with Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida) in the "Attendance 2006" for worldwide theme parks making it the only UK Theme park to make it in the top 25. Entrance to the park is completely free (which is great if you're not a ride person or unable to ride) and you can buy wristbands for unlimited rides either on the day you go, or, on their website www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com if you know what day you are going. Wristbands cost around £27 (Last time I went 2006) for an Adult at the gate but depending on the time of year and the time of day (evenings after 6/7pm) the price becomes a discounted price (The bands are discounted on Website purchase anyway). Child wristbands are around £15 and have the opportunity to go to the very fun Beaver Creek...
