...This was a good hotel to stay at if in Brighton but make sure you get a good deal because I don't think it's worth it at full price. It is not as glam as The Grand nor Metropole a few hundred yards up the street but does boast equally wonderful sea views. We were in room 201 and got a great deal staying the Sunday night only. The room had beautiful large bay windows overlooking the sea...

...As part of a hen weekend package we were upgraded to the apparently 4 star Old Ship Hotel in Brighton which is Brighton's oldest hotel. I hadn't heard anything about it prior to hearing we would be staying here but having asked a few friends who'd visited Brighton quite often I didn't hear anything positive - those who had stayed there said it was pretty shabby and those who hadn't stayed said it...
