A pleasant stay at The County Hotel, Skegness
Advantages: Comfortable, affordable, good breakfast, polite service.
Disadvantages: Outdated decor, could be cleaner.
...I stayed overnight at The County Hotel, Skegness recently after a night on the town for a friends birthday. I booked a twin room two weeks in advance and knowing someone that worked there, I was able to get a small discount. The room cost £50, including breakfast. This would be my first stay in The County Hotel and I was looking forward to a pleasant stay on the coast.

The Gretna Green Hotel...in County Durham.
Advantages: Good value and menu. Excellent prices. Ideal for families.
Disadvantages: None
...Located on the Great North Road (A167) at Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, The Gretna Green Hotel is a large family pub restaurant which I have visited a few times over the years. It is located just a couple of minutes drive from the junction with the A1(M) and therefore offers a good alternative to the MacDonalds and Burger King restaurants you will find at service stations...

Disadvantages: Room decor needs refreshing, electric showers are never the best
