Here, in Delhi, it was being asked by a bozo from the business centre who wanted to get his hands on my laptop to configure it for internet, whereas in Moscow it was asked by a bottle blonde in a miniskirt who just wanted to get her hands into my lap. However, while I never succumbed in Moscow, in Delhi I did let one of the clowns get hold of my laptop, twice, and both times I regretted it! I've stayed in Delhi a few times recently, and each time has been at the Intercontinental; I had a choice of a few hotels but chose this one first because it is close to where I need to be, and because I needed to ratchet up some more points on my Priority Club...

...If you want to get from A to B quickly, don't go on the world's oldest working steam locomotive, the Fairy Queen. Part of the charm of such a trip is its unpredictability. And the "old lady" as she's affectionately known by some, certainly is charming. The Fairy Queen resumed commercial service in 1997 after almost 90 years of retirement. We went on the first trip of 2001 on 24 November, a journey from Delhi to Alwar in Rajastan, (about four hours duration) and then on to Sariska Palace by road (another hour). ...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

Delhi, hard work but well worth it

...Arriving in Delhi from Bangkok, the first thing I noticed was the lack of air pollution, which was definatly not what I was expecting. I arrived at New Delhi airport in late February and after Bangkok's humidity and pollution New Delhi was litterally a breath of fresh air. The people in Delhi will stare but not as much as in other parts of India. Most will help you out when they can, however, it can be hard work in the tourist spots as the sellers are always shouting and trying to get you into their shops, but once you adopt a hard faced persona and walk quickly then it won't bother you. The sights in Delhi are amazing, however, some havn't been kept well, such as the red fort. An Indian lady who I stayed with was really upset by the Red Fort as she said she had been their 20 years ago and it had deteriated so much since then. I...

...****Sachas hotel- Manchester**** I booked this hotel last minute as i had a job interview in Manchester and needed somewhere quite cheap ,that was also near the centre. **Location/Getting there** This hotel is located in Tibb street which is a 2 minute walk from Piccadily Gardens or 10 minutes away from Chorlton street bus station.The Train station is a little bit further away say maybe a twenty minute walk but i don't think that this is that bad .You can also get a tram from Piccadily gardens and this goes to quite a few places.You could also get a taxi to the hotel but i am not sure what parking is like if you were to take your own car. **Reception/staff** Since i had never been to Manchester before i phoned and asked the staff for directions -they were very nice and helped me out.When i got there i think i got the same...
