...The Felbridge Hotel, East Grinstead, Sussex - 'four star luxury grade' - changed hands this year and has been completely refurbished to a very high standard in a contemporary style - all chocolate, beige and cream. Maybe not to everyone's taste - not very cosy and perhaps lacking a bit of character - but I loved it. Everything clean, shiny and brand spanking new. It is situated next to a main road but this didn't really detract from the hotel and we didn't notice any noise. The road is quite hard to cross on foot and it isn't easy to turn right against the flow of traffic - although we managed ok. I booked for a weekend break in August, staying with my other half, on a special deal of £110 for executive double room including full English breakfast. Radisson Edwardian Sussex Hotel

...I stayed in the Sussex hotel over Easter and had a great time. The hotel is located about 1 minute from Marble Arch underground station and one block past Selfridges, so if you like to shop this hotel is ideally located for you. It's quite an impressive building from the outside and although the entrance looks pretty none discript, when you walk into reception it turns out to a lovely modern hotel. I was greeted by a very friendly and competent Receptionist, who gave me all the info I needed and checked me into my room with no hassles at all. Security is quite high as you need the key card to move around the building and to work the lifts. The room itself has very modern decor and very comfortable furnishings. ...Situated in East Grinstead, West Sussex this hotel is counted as a Gatwick Airport Hotel. Compared to all the other Gatwick hotels and all other hotels I have stayed in, this has to be one of the best. The hotel has recently been taken over in the last year and gone through a 5 million pound refurbishment taking the hotel and spa to 4* Deluxe Status from its previous 2* rating. I did not visit the hotel when it was previously owned so cannot compare. I drive past this hotel every day and it always catches my eye, it looks really nice. Good value at the Goodearth hotel, Perth

Advantages: Central location, good area, value for money, clean and comfy.
Disadvantages: Occasional sagging mattresses, plus check your account carefully.

I booked my accommodation through hotelclub.com and can report that the website was safe and secure when processing my payment of $A428 for the four nights. At $107 per night (approx 45 pounds) it seemed good value to me. Initially, I tried to book this hotel through a Queensland travel agent. They told me there were no rooms available for the period I wanted, and tried to cajole me into going to another inner city Perth hotel. Bateman?s was once the home of the literary genius Rudyard Kipling, and as my children are both keen on the Jungle Book I thought the visit would be something they would enjoy. ...Well, I'm down in Sunny Sussex on my holidays again, and today we decided to visit Knockhatch Adventture Park, on the outskirts of Eastbourne, off the A22. We, of course, being myself, my boyfriend, and my six year old daughter . It didn't take us long to drive there from Eastbourne, although we were slightly delayed by a diversion due to the filming on the pier of the remake of Brighton Rocks. The carparking was free, although getting to the carpark required driving down a very narrow country lane that could easily be missed . There were plenty of spaces, and it was easy to find the entrance to the park itself and the payment kiosk . Admission prices are £8 for an adult, and £7 for a child aged 3-18 . We only live about half an hour away in Chesterfield and had heard very good reports about the place. We were not disappointed. We arrived at around 4pm and after we had been shown to our 'executive room' (can't remember name but it was above the reception/conservatory area).
