Having stayed in places where music and noise from discos, clubs and general party-going destroys a night's sleep, I loved the peace I got here. Sultan Bey has its own island, which can be reached by bridge (after a 20 minute walk) or by a half-hourly ferry boat, taking ten minutes. As a resident of the hotel, you are free to use the facilities free of charge, with others there is a small fee. The island has a bar /restaurant (but the food comes out very slowly), and a variety of shops and beach sports. Kite Sailing is a particular favourite in El Gouna. What is there to do? Advantages: a quiet, stylish and peaceful hotel
Disadvantages: a bit to quiet at night

...to be looking at Sharm El Sheik in the southern tip of Sinai. If you are interested in water sports then Dahab further down the coast may be a better destination. If however you are happy with a quieter life but like being in a prime location to venture into the surrounding countries as well as Egypt itself, then Taba Heights will fit the bill and the Three Corners is as good a hotel as any in the area. First Choice and Longwood seem to be the main operators in the area and due to the fact that the resort is yet to take off, there are some good deals to be had. I managed to book a 2-week holiday, for two people, all-inclusive with flight for less than £1000. The excursions available are fairly reasonably priced as well so you will not need much spending money on top of your initial payment. Try seeing the forgotten end of Egypt...

Don't pass on El Paso

Advantages: Fantastic hotel.
Disadvantages: They made me go home !!

...This review is about my holiday at the El Paso Hotel, Port Aventura, Spain in October 2008. My holiday was booked through First Choice Holidays and for my husband, myself and our 12 year old son for a weeks half board stay with unlimited access to the park, the cost, including flights and transfers was £1200. We all had a wonderful time, I won't go into the park details as I have already written a review on that aspect of Port Aventura - this review is purely about our stay in the hotel. We flew into Reus airport and it only took 10 - 15 minutes to get to our hotel. Before I go any further, let me explain about Halloween at Port Aventura. El Paso - A super Hotel

If you have children pick this hotel as they have plenty to keep them entertained all day. Price: As a family of 4 through first choice the June 2006 cost us £1300 this is for halfboard and includes the admission to the parks and water park. Room: All rooms are very spacious and really clean, the rooms have air conditioning,Satellite TV,Hair-dryer,Direct dial telephone,Safe (You need to visit reception to activate this). Rooms are cleaned everyday, if you don't want this just put the card provided outside the door. Our room looked over the pool and i feel this was a lovely area to be. Just a warning about the vending machines in hall, we found the snacks machines...

...For a cheap holiday (£175 per person to be exact, excluding transfers) I wasn't expecting a lot from our 2* Bed & Breakfast accommodation. "The Hotel Emperador is an excellent holiday option for those looking for simple and comfortable accommodation in a popular, lively resort at a very reasonable price. Review of Emperador, El Arenal

Another nice hotel in Hammamet.

Advantages: Loction facilities and the staff
Disadvantages: Not as much outside of the hotel during non peak season

...On my recent work trip to Tunisia I stayed in two different hotels - I also then visited another so many and had a look around. One of the ones that I visited was this one which is actually known as 'El Mouradi El Menzah hotel. This is shortened to El Menzah to make it easier!! This was the first hotel apart from the first one we stayed in that we went to have a look at and this was because it was located right next door. The hotel next door is the El Mouradi Hammamet and the two hotels are actually very similar in style too with their pools back to back and just seperated by a fence and a gate. Even though I didn't stay here I think my review will be useful for those considering it as a option as I saw pretty much the whole place. Review of El Menzah Hotel, Hammamet

Live like a Sultan!!

Advantages: central, friendly staff, close to boat for beach, large rooms
Disadvantages: didn't notice any specific childrens amenities

...As a child I loved the stories of the Arabian nights. This hotel is what I imagine a rich merchants house would have looked like. It is truly beautiful. The Sultan Bey is set in the Downtown area of El Gouna. Close to shops and bars, but most importantly, this is where you find the jetty for the boat to the beach! The whole resort is quite low key, so there is no noise from the local bars and it was easy to get a good nights sleep after a hard day at the beach. Our room at the Sultan Bey was huge. Two single beds in one alcove, a large tv, coffee table and sofa in the main area, a large old fashioned wardrobe in one corner, and a large en-suite shower/ toilet. We also had a balcony which had ample room for the two deckchairs and small table. From there we had a stunning view of the lagoon. El Gouna has its own tv channel...

...The Hotel Royal Kenz in the Resort of Port El Kantaoui in Tunisia was recently my Home for 7 nights between the 2nd and 9th July 2006. The Holiday itself was a last minute booking but the Girl at the Travel Agent's said that She had stayed at this Hotel and that it was superb. The price for the total package, including Flights and transfers was incredibly cheap at just under £200 Half Board for 7 nights and so the booking was made. FIRST IMPRESSIONS I had seen a picture of the Hotel in the Brochure so I knew that this was one of the largest Hotels in the Resort with 405 Rooms. I also knew that it had only three Floors and that it was therefore spread out over quite a wide area within its own Grounds. ...I have just returned from staying at the hotel El Cid, This is now my 4 fourth visit so i feel i can express a valid review on the hotel. The hotel is at the lower priced hotel holiday stays in SItges, approx £1000 for a fortnight with B&B booked through an agent, you can do this holiday cheaper if you book indepdantly. Over the past 5 years the El Cid has become alot more noiser and the overall decor is tired and in desperate need of updating. The El Cid offers an excellent Pool area with padded sun loungers, it is a right sun trap and a socialable area where 90% of the gay holiday residents mix, This hotel is very popular with gay holiday makers and affection is often openly displayed, it has a nice mix of both male and female residents. The rooms are very basic, the towels are changed daily and the beds made daily, bedding is changed...

...We were recommended to the Hotel Soviva at our local First Choice agency on a late booking holiday. We actually flew out a week after booking and were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We paid £300 per person on an All Inclusive package and it was worth every penny. None of us had travelled to Africa before and were a bit uncertain as to what to expect, but settled down immediately on arrival at the hotel!!
