Advantages: Beautiful, great for families, lovely walks Disadvantages: Mat be too quiet for some
...Llandudno is a beautiful Victorian seaside resort situated on the North coast of Wales. If you look at a map of North Wales you will see that Llandudno is set on a piece of land jutting out into the Irish Sea. The end of this piece of land is the Great Orme Country Park with Llandudno town at its base. If you can visualise this in your mind you will see that Llandudno will actually have two beaches ? roughly one facing north and one facing west.
The North Shore is the side where the main town, hotels and shops are. The pier is here as is the theatre and most of the entertainment is on this side of the town.
Before we came to live here in Llandudno I hadn?t even realised that the West Shore existed and I bet I am not the only one!
There is a dual carriageway linking the two shores which is called Gloddaeth Avenue and it takes...
Advantages: Nice beaches, good shops, good walks. Disadvantages: None
...I remember visiting Llandudno with my parents when I was a child, for our annual holiday. I have happy memories of building sandcastles, playing on the two Ormes and walking along the long crescent promenade eating ice creams! Ah, happy days!
I have been to Llandudno a few times since, but only for a couple of hours on a day trip from home in the Midlands. While we were on holiday on Anglesey we went back onto the mainland to Llandudno on a couple of occasions and I was able to see a lot more of the town and the Great Orme in particular.
The town and long sandy beach are sheltered by The Great Orme in the north and The Little Orme in the south. There is a pier at the foot of the Great Orme together with a few amusements and children?s rides. The sad spectacle of the ruined Grand Theatre also stands here.
The town itself is set...

Review of Llandudno (Wales)
Advantages: Plenty To See And Do, Nice Sandy Beach Disadvantages: Largely Closed During Winter
...Llandudno has always been one of my most favourite parts of North Wales. When I was a young Child my Parents had a Camper Van and we would spend many weekends in this area.
As a Seaside Resort I always found that Llandudno had much more character to it than many of the other traditional Seaside towns that I was familiar with, including the nearby resort of Rhyl.
When I was recently asked by a group of friends if I fancied a daytrip to Llandudno I therefore naturally jumped at the chance.
Llandudno has quite an impressive Beach, which is long and sandy and curves in the shape of a crescent. Despite the fact that during this recent visit it was a dull, drizzly afternoon in April there were still plenty of people walking along the Beach, although no one seemed to be quite brave enough to venture into the Sea.
In the distance...

Review of Llandudno (Wales)
Advantages: The beach, victorian everything! Disadvantages: none !!
...with the bouncy obstacle course but im too tall for that now. The pier stretches out to sea for about a mile it is a great walk and there is a surprise at the top but im ot telling you what otherwise it wouldn't be a surprise would it?
Llandudno is a tourist area so as you may of thought there is a lot of hotels as I was walking around I noticed the prices it ranged from around £18 - £28 but obviously there are deals like B&B included and others. Another thing I noticed that I thought was quite good they had the old styled busses. In Llandudno they have a wide range of shops just something for everyone! During my stay in Llandudno I spent on average £20 but that was with icecreams. (when you go to Llandudno go to the little condervatory on Trevor street they do the biggest and nicest ice creams at the lowest price!!)
So gathering what I have seen...

Review of Llandudno (Wales)
Advantages: Lovely victorian seaside resort Disadvantages: Is popular so gets busy in summer
....
There is a pier, which is worth a stroll along, there are some small rides there for young children and an amusement arcade. There are only 3 amusement arcades in Llandudno, the council will not allow any more for fear of becoming too commercialised, which I think is a very good thing.
Other tourist attractions include the Great Orme Tramway, the skislope, coppermines and cable cars.
There are many nice restaurants, my favourite being Casanovas Italian restaurant (above Tiffanys on Chapel Street). Extremely good value food, especially if you go before 7pm. There are also literally hundreds of hotels, and B&B's, most are very reasonably priced....

Advantages: EXCELLENT HOTEL Disadvantages: NOTHING
...Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC
My wife and I have stayed here a couple of times, always in March and yes you?ve probably guessed, it?s when Crufts is on at the NEC.
Strange but a few years ago you had to book wayyy way in advance to get a room but with this recession where all going through, getting a room is easy. I suppose the stick that Crufts came under last year didn?t help either but anyhow getting back to the hotel.
You can easily book a room and they vary in price from £120 to £220 depending on things such as lake view, breakfast included or evening meal and breakfast. But as March approaches then the room prices tend to rocket.
The room is a standard large bedroom and a bathroom.
What more to add to the room? It comes with TV, Kettle, Ironing equip, small table and 2 comfy chairs. We...
Advantages: Location, toiletries Disadvantages: Expensive if not booked through third party website
...I've stayed at The Strand Palace a number of times. I generally pay around £85 per night for a double room although I book through a third party as booking directly through the hotel seems to cost in excess of £100 per night.
I've no idea why it's listed as 2 star on here given that its 3 star everywhere else. The rooms are a decent size and always clean. The bathroom is stocked with Pascal Morabito toiletries which I appreciate. There's a tv with sky channels, pay wi-fi, hairdryer etc. The staff are very polite and willing to help.
With regard to location, the hotel is located on the Strand which is the prime hotspot for theatre-goers. It's very close to Covent Garden and there are a number of London guides provided in the room for those who are new to the city.
I have not tried the food at the hotel so I am unable to comment...
Advantages: An outstanding place to stay for any length of time. Disadvantages: Slightly high price though it is in the city area of London
...Introduction
This hotel is located close to the city of London in a vastly improved area of Hackney. The hotel is owned by entrepreneurs Simon Wright and John Pallagi. One time, during 2009 I watched a particular episode of ?The Apprentice? and some of the lucky business task winners were sent here to have a night at this exact hotel. I then later checked the website to book one night stay at this hotel and I was impressed throughout my visit from start to finish. Booking a room here made me special as to say I was surrounded by successful business people and people wanting to enjoy a stylish and sophisticated night stay at this excellent hotel.
Location
The hotel is located in the east end of London, which is an area full of yuppies, wealthy businessmen, and city workers. The place itself is quite straightforward to...

Review of Hoxton Hotel, London
...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:
Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...
Advantages: Fantastic Food Disadvantages: Lifts are quite small
...When we decided to make a return trip to Benalmedina we opted to go to the four star Hotel Las Arenas as it was recommended by friends. It is slightly further out just opposite the Castle Bill Bill and when you cross the road it?s a flat walk all the way to the marina which is away from the large hills on which many of the other hotels are located.
Reception
On arrival check in was swift and at this time we opted to pay for a safety deposit box we were then handed the safe key and card key to room 524 and pointed in the direction of the lifts. On looking round reception it was laid out with tables and chairs and also had a grand piano, a small bar ,toilets and computers with internet access. There is a large board telling you about entertainment available during the day and at night. The whole area was laid out for wheelchair access...
