Jurys inn - Cheap hotel in Leeds
Advantages: Cheap, presentable hotel, good location
Disadvantages: Soulless, very noisy from outside
...Jurys Inn, Leeds is a reasonably priced hotel that is a 10 minute walk both from the train station and shopping centre of Leeds. We stayed here one weekend in August 09 and it cost us £60 per night for a room with a double bed and a sofa bed (though it would have been squashed with 3 of us).
We found the hotel clean and presentable, with reasonable facilities, but very soulless. The staff were polite, although reserved rather than warm. It is part of a chain of hotels, and I got the impression that probably every other hotel in this chain is exactly like this one.
Checkout was at 12, though you could extend this (at a price). The facilities in the room were fairly standard for a budget hotel chain - there was a fair selection of tea and coffee, a desk with internet connection point, a television with more channels than we could hope to...

Queens Hotel Leeds
Advantages: Location, location, location
Disadvantages: Popular if Leeds United are at home on a Saturday
...The Queens Hotel Leeds is ideally located for anyone visiting the city centre ... no more than 10 minutes off the M62 in the heart of the city centre, situated outside and to the front of Leeds mainline railway station. There are ample car parks nearby, with only a short distance to walk with your luggage. Alternatviely, you can request that the conceirge, of this full service 4-star hotel, provide a valet service (at a charge of £5-£10).
The hotel is simply the most famous landmark hotel in Leeds, standing proudly in the city's centre since it ws built in the 1930's. It is a traditional hotel in so much as it is very spacious inside, but has recently undergone a major refurbsihment, bringing a very fresh and modern feel to the grand old lady.
I don't really like to give an indication of what you would be expected to pay per...

Leeds Marriott: Great weekend break!
Advantages: Great location and nice hotel
Disadvantages: Can be expensive but some good deals available
...About the hotel:
The Leeds Marriott is owned and operated by the Marriott international chain of hotels.
Location:
The hotel is located in the city centre very close to the main attraction. Less than five minutes walk away is the main shopping street which features a House of Fraser department store as well as Harvey Nicholls. There is also a large branch of Marks and Spencer as well as the usual range of high street shops such as Topshop,
The centre of Leeds has a great variety of shops and places of entertainment's. There are a great variety of bars and nightclubs and it is a great choice for a weekend away of sigh seeing and shopping.
The Royal Armories is a great afternoon out for history buffs and you are only 40 minutes drive form the historic city of York. The countryside surrounding Leeds is dotted...

Bad Hotel
Advantages: Free wi-fi
Disadvantages: Poor staff, poor room
...On a recent trip to Leeds to see my girlfriends graduation, we decided to stay in the Boundary Hotel which is about 5 minute car journey into the city centre. Rooms were reasonably priced; we got a single room and a "superior" double room (inc breakfast for both) for £120.
The hotel itself is a 3 star hotel and is located near Headingley Cricket and Rugby Stadiums. From the outside it doesn't look like a great deal but it does has a small car park. The hotel has 16 rooms and each have free wi-fi access and each room has a TV with only the 5 basic channels.
Once we went inside there was a small queue to check in so we had a little look round. There is a small bar area with 3 small tables in one room as well another room with a shabby sofa and a TV as well as a computer. There is a dining area which seemed to be fairly big but we did...

Marriott Hotels: welcome to my world!!
Advantages: Great hotels and resoanbly priced
Disadvantages: Get booked up quickly!!
...and operated Renaissance hotel) in the city! In the north of England for example there is a Marriott Hotel in Leeds and a Renaissance property in Manchester.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The hotel rooms:
The main part of any hotel stay is always the hotel room and it is a bit hard to summarise lots of hotels into one but here goes!
One of the main things that I can tell you about Marriott Hotels is that they have designed what they call the ?hotel room that works? which has been designed to meet the needs of business and leisure travelers all around the world through extensive consultation.
The rooms are all spacious, very clean and modernly decorated featuring either one king bed or two doubles and featuring large. Spacious and airy bathrooms that offer lots of towels as well as bath and shower. Some have...
park plaza hotel - leeds
Advantages: easy to find, near to everything, little bit of luxury
Disadvantages: none
...i stayed at the park plaza for a night a year ago with my boyfriend.
it isn't the cheapest in leeds, but you get what you pay for!
it's really easy to get to, straight across from the train station, and near all the nightlife, shops and resteraunts. we didnt go to the resteraunt in the hotel, but the bar was pretty good, expensive as you'd expect though.
the room was great!!! all black & white, really big bed, nice posh bathroom with a really deep bath. lots of wardrobe space too.
the staff were nice but very trendy, looked like they should be hairdressers or working in topshop.
overall it was really nice, and worth the money. definately recommended, especially if you're there for a few days...
The Relaxation Hotel
Advantages: Great Spa Treatments, Great offers on Breaks
Disadvantages: Sloppy Service when busy and under pressure
...Feeling all refreshed after my friend's Hen Night away I decided to enlighten you all on my experience.
*~*~The Hotel*~*~
The Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa is a member of The Shire Hotels Group that are a collection of principally four-star properties that are conveniently located for both business and leisure close to the country's entire major network routes.
Located to the east of Leeds, located just 10 minutes from the Motorway it is in a great location and is hidden away of the main road providing a rural retreat.
The hotel has an extremely fresh and modern appearance and does not disappoint inside, a vast car park with plenty of spaces that is complimentary for guests.
As you enter the hotel through two glass doors you are greeted by the Glass Atrium right in front where you can get yourself a refreshment or quick snack...
Lovely Leeds
Advantages: Lots to see and do
Disadvantages: The weather can be disappointing
...-made lake in the middle with ducks and geese galore - and Roundhay has a boating lake.
Overall:
Leeds, to me at least, is a beautiful city. It has something that will appeal to everyone. Just make sure you take the time to find what it is you really want to explore. Most people imagine it to be grim up north, but if you're willing to venture out the city, it's a green and pleasant land.
Ramada Leeds Parkway a nice hotel with lovely function rooms
Advantages: Good food, Lovely function rooms, Clean, friendly and lots of parking
Disadvantages: expensive food and drink
...This hotel is lovely and resonably priced. I had an over night stay here after attending my fathers wedding reception held in one of the function rooms, as with any hotel the drinks and food are expensive and they ran out of a few favouritedrinks that is the only drawback! The hotel room and function rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean and all staff were welcoming and very helpful. Buffet Style food for night do was lovely with a great selection and the cooked breakfast was fantastic with a good selection of continental options also. Plenty of parking for guests and visitiors. In my opinion a good location for any occasion or a stay in Leeds Although the hotel itself is quite rural so not for everyone i think overall a lovely place may not be suited to familys over the weekend due to functions but when i requested a room...
One tired out hotel
Advantages: Friendly enough staff; old English-esque feel; cheap
Disadvantages: location; overall quite tatty looking
...I visited Leeds on a business trip and needed to stay somewhere that would be close to my meeting place. Adriatic Hotel appeared on Google Maps as the closest one and so I chose to stay here.
BOOKING
My colleague booked the room for me. The person was very helpful and the booking process was very simple and my colleague was also directed to their website in case she needed extra information.
LOCATION
The hotel is based in Chapeltown which is not in central Leeds but in one of its more suburb-like areas.
The website does provide a map for drivers but does not offer any information on public transport links, mainly because there are none. I took a taxi from the train station to the hotel which cost me £6.50 for approximately 5 - 10 mins.
ARRIVAL/RECEPTION
When the taxi pulled up to the hotel driveway, a member...
