Advantages: All round good pick for those wanting Caribbean on a budget. Great beach! Disadvantages: Probably not quite up to 5* standards like some other hotels, but we didn't mind!
...I stayed at Hotel Palma Real, Varadero, Cuba in September 2005 with a friend. We both had a fantastic holiday. I would rate this as a 3/4 star hotel, as it is typically at the lower end of the pricing for holidays to Varadero. However, don't let this put you off this merely makes it even more value for money!

...We visted the Hotel Armadams for our honeymoon back in October 2006 for a short break to take in the sights and sounds of Palma.
It is situated one "block" away from the main promenade in Palma, a road lined on one side with bars, hotels, shops and the marina and harbour area on the other.
I am not a great Spanish speaker, infact I know only the most basic of phrases to muddle through...

...We picked the Don Bigote Hotel in Palma Nova because we wanted somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay for a few days in September and we certainly got that. The Don Bigote is never going to win any awards for luxury, but it certainly offers comfort and a good location, for an excellent price.
Getting to the hotel from the airport in Palma is easiest by taxi. It'll set you back around 35 Euros...
