Sydney Australia a dream come true!!
Advantages: Great city opera house
Disadvantages: expensive
...Sydney General
Before I went to Australia I had this image in my head of the Sydney Opera and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, this was the first thing I thought about when I thought of Australia, so the first thing I did when I arrived was drive down to see it for myself!
I was so excited, I almost had to pinch myself as it all felt like a dream but I really was in Australia at last.
Standing by the Opera House was a dream come true; it really is a remarkable site and one I will not forget for a very long time. The structure and design is fascinating and I spent a good while walking around it all. The view of the Harbour Bridge opposite is startling it is so huge if you look closely you can make out the small figures of the brave climbing over the top of it.
The thing I love about Sydney the most is its beaches, with so many to...

Travel..Dodge! Sydney Australia hotels.
Advantages: Location and proximity to centre.
Disadvantages: Everything about this hotel services.
...After Traveling around Australia for Months I have stayed in many hotels across the East Coast as you will discover in my Reviews. As more and more of us are traveling to Australia, I think its useful to see what are hotels we are assured of, are actually what we are getting after thousands of miles of traveling to our dream destination.
We booked The Travelodge Sydney because me and my partner thought its a reputable name, Travelodge all over the world.
Fine within the UK, not great but always comes up to standard.
We had four days in Sydney and booked here! what a mistake.
We arrived at the Hotel after traveling from Bribane 2-hours away.
We were very tired and wanted to get some sleep after traveling from 4-am we needed a little sleep.
Our hotel reservations were to check in early, but to our dismay they didn...

Sydney and Australia - The best Vibe in The World
Advantages: Atomsphere. Many places to go and do.
Disadvantages: Huge country, and big distances between destinations.
...I was fortunate enough to travel Australia for six months and found Sydney was by far my favourite location. Be it the Sydney Bridge, Opera house or Bondi beach all of it was great.
For me though, the best part was the vibe and atomsphere of the place. Maybe its the weather, but the place was constantly buzzing and the people were helpful and always had a smile on their face. George Street in particular was best for this.
On top of that, there is always something to do. The beaches, Bondi, Palm and my favourite Cogee. A little less heard of, but still has the surf, sand, people and surprisingly nightlife at the hotel.
On top of that, theres excursions away, such as the seven (or six now) apostles, Wildlife tours and if your adventureous, sky diving and bungee diving.
The Resturants, Bars and nightlife are endless. My...

Sydney Harbour Bay!
Advantages: Awesome place/great photo opportunities!
Disadvantages: I was jet lagged when we saw it!
...Last Summer I was lucky enough to go on a world rugby tour to Australia and New Zealand, it was an amazing trip and I am going to review each section of the trip, to let you know how fantastic it was! I will try not to do it in a blog style and hopefully tell you what the places were actually like, how good/bad parts of the trip were rather than simply 'how great the trip was'.
Then hopefully if you are planning a trip to Australia and New Zealand you might find something in my review that you would like to do or a place which you want to see. I will put up lots of pictures as well so you get a feel for the places I'm reviewing. Basically our tour consisted of flying to Sydney for 3 days, then to New Zealand for 9 days, then back to Brisbane in Australia for a final few luxurious rugby free days and finally home. A lot of flying was...

The Rocks - Sydney, Australia
Advantages: Full of history, bars, clubs, markets
Disadvantages: none
...I am currently on holiday in Australia and have just stayed near The Rocks in Sydney so while checking my emails I thought I would write a review - besides its too hot outside (35 degress just to make you all jealous) to be doing much else.
The Rocks area is situated in Sydney right next to the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House right on the edge of the harbour. According to the lonely planet guide it was the first place that the Europeans settled when arriving in Sydney. It is a very quaint area of Sydney although very lively. It is full of shops, cafes, juice bars (seems all the rage here) restaurants and pubs and is a place that is full of life any time of the day or night.
The area is mainly pedestrianised so is safe to wander across from shop to shop although there are some lovely shops and I have just realised that I have...

Sydney - So good they should have named it twice
Advantages: Breath taking, Awe inspiring and most of all Fun
Disadvantages: No, none - I loved it
...I landed in Sydney on Boxing Day evening 2003 armed with only my backpack and my Lonely Planet guide book for company. I was on my own, (due to being let down by the friend I was supposed to be travelling with) and determined to have a good time. Needless to say I didn't find it too much of an effort.
I had booked hostel accommodation as I was to be in Sydney until Jan 1st and knew it would be difficult to get anywhere on the day which from speaking to others proved to be a good decision. After clearing immigration I found the city shuttle outside ($8 au, refunded by hostel) I was at the Alfred park budget Hotel in Redfern, walking distance into the city in about 20 mins. I was in a 4 bed mixed dorm with a colour TV and fridge and felt at home straight away. Luxury it wasn't but it was clean and safe and besides I wasn't there...

A Dream Come True (SYDNEY)
Advantages: Great Tourist Attractions, Nice Beaches, Hot, Cheaper in some places than the UK
Disadvantages: Long Flight, Not easy to get around
...Since I was a teenager I had always wanted to tour Australia, and finally as I hit 18 I booked my first visit to Sydney. From the minute I stepped on Emirates Airlines I was satisfied. It was a fabulous, unforgettable experience.
I flew from London Heathrow to Sydney and spent three weeks staying in Hotel InterContinental Sydney, which was probably the most expensive but luxiourus hotel I have ever stayed in. I spent the first two or three days relaxing at the hotel, going to it's gym, the pool and having a look around the city.
We spent the time looking at the tourist attractions, including The Sydney Opera House, where we dined and watch a production, which was absoultey spectacular, we did a Captain Cook Dinner cruise around the Sydney harbour which had a tasty menu, which we enjoyed and ofcourse I could not leave Sydney...

The beautiful harbour city
Advantages: Lots to see and do
Disadvantages: Can be expensive, Very hot in summer
...I've lived in Sydney for since 2005 now and I have to say it's the most wonderful city. There really is something for everyone here.
First, there's the obvious Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The Opera House is the most amazing building when you see if for real. I really didn't think that much of it until I moved here and stood outside of it. If there's nothing showing there that you fancy seeing, then I'd recommend one of the tours. They offer 1 hour tours for about $30 that will take you behind the scenes and into a couple fo the theatres. They'll teach you about the building of the Opera House, why it cost over $100 million and took 14 years to build when it should have taken 4 years and cost $6 million. There is a bit of disruption to the tours at present as the complex is being renovated to the original specifications...

Sydney NSW
Advantages: Great atmosphere, food and freindly people
Disadvantages: Distance to travel to get there
...Sydney is a great city to visit, with lots to see and do that will interest all the family. Children will love the ferries that operate in Sydney harbour that make 'getting there' part of the fun of a good day out. The best views of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge can be seen from the ferry from double bay!
The Opera House is an amazing sight, but we found it prety inaccessible with a buggy. nearby there is the Rocks which on Saturday and Sunday is home to a fantastic craft market where you can but all sorts of goodies at great prices.
Eating out is cheap, by UK standards, and there are so many places to choose from - buy a copy of 'Cheap Eats' which lists pretty much every restaurant in Sydney worth going to (not just the cheap ones). we particularly enjoyed Doyle's Fish Restaurant at Watsons Bay, Limoncello in Double Bay...

Sydney - I want to go Back !
Advantages: Excellent City, Clean streets, Great Transport, Loads to do
Disadvantages: Changable and Blustery in Winter, A Bit too far from Ireland
...I stayed in Sydney for over 10 months in 2003 and the hardest thing I had to do was to leave the place. Sydney is an amazing city, with so much to do you will never get bored. From the Harbour area to the beaches of Bondi - theres something for everyone.
When we arrived we did the usual tourist trips, Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Trips on the Harbour Ferries, Centrepoint Tower but as time went on we found a hidden Sydney. These are areas or items in Sydney which are not on the usual tourist trail. Places like Suzannah Place in the Rocks which documents early life around 1830, and how the working classes lived. It is a living museum. Other areas of interest included Balmain, Manly, Paddington and Potts Point.
We were lucky enough to be there for the New Years Eve fireworks and they are as amazing as people say. However if you are...
