...~~The Windsor Inn~~ ~~Booking~~ A girls holiday was in order and Cork seemed like the perfect location as it was slightly cheaper than Dublin but there was still lots to do. After trailing through many search websites we finally came across The Windsor Inn hotel. So this is where our problems began. We booked the hotel through booking.com and got to the end of the whole confirmation part and paid when a pop-up came along saying the room we'd paid for was not available. I tried contacting booking.com who confirmed that no payment had been made, I even phoned my credit card company to make sure. So an hour later we'd booked another hotel and I went to my emails and low and behold I found that I had confirmation of the Windsor Inn saying that we did have the room. Luxury hotel, great weekend rates

Advantages: Central location, bargain weekend rates include excellent buffet breakfast

It is centrally located, and is just a few minutes walk from the Grande Place, the picturesque main square. The Royal Windsor offers all the trappings of a high-class hotel: 24 hour room service, fitness club, laundry service, garage, sauna etc. etc. The multi-channel TV has pay-per-view movies and even the UK channels BBC 1 & 2. The en-suite bathrooms are well equipped and the bedrooms are generally very nice if a little on the small size. Pros: The upside is that they must know its expensive because you can find find reductions in the ticket price all over the place. we go ours from a box of Walkers Crisps. The UK's '4th coolest boutique hotel'

Advantages: Cental location, friendly service, individualistic
Disadvantages: A little cramped, grubby carpets, a little inflexible on breakfast times

...I travel a lot with work and it's a trifle sad but I have become blasé regarding the same luxury hotel chains-Renaissance, Holiday Inn, Hilton etc It was nice to stay at a boutique hotel for once-and one right slap bang in the middle of Newcastle city centre. Prestige Events Magazine voted it the 4th coolest boutique hotel in the UK last year. The Lowry in Manchester (I love it) was number 10. It's a cute little hotel with a mere 49 bedrooms. I'm not sure why we stay here rather than one of the hotel chains but I am not complaining! Apparently it used to be a bank. It's also Newcastle's first pet friendly hotel. I travelled with my dear deceased little dog in the past and we both enjoyed dog friendly hotels. First impressions: You could almost miss the hotel, as it's very discreet. And small! ...or the website is wrong ! ~~~ Getting There ~~~ As I live in Newbury, Berkshire, getting to Legoland was very easy - hop onto the M4 and leave at junction 6 heading towards Windsor. Legoland is clearly signposted from the M4 and if I can find it then anybody can (I still get lost going to my mum's house). If you take the train then you can travel direct to Windsor and then catch one of the regular buses from the station straight to the park. The road system within the park has a speed limit of 20mph which is blatently ignored by some people who obviously consider themselves such good drivers that they can safely stop if a young child runs out in front of them, no matter what speed they are doing. Legoland Windsor - Great family day out

Advantages: Plenty of rides for the whole family to go on together/shoes+special events
Disadvantages: You could end up spending a fortune on top of the entrance price

...First things first-Where is Legoland and how do you get there? Legoland in England is situated in windsor a very lovely part of England. We( My son my friend and I )travelled here by car ,Legoland is on the B3022 windsor/Ascot road just 2 miles from windsor town centre.Legoland is within easy reach via the M25 and is clearly sign posted from M3 (JUNCTION 3) m4(junction 6) and all approaches. Parking is free although if you want to be SUPER CLOSE to the park you can pay starting from £5.00 (personally I thought the standard car park was close enough-less then 5 mins walk away-Don't forget where you leave your car!!).
