...have found so far the 30 minute time saver wash takes around 45-50 minutes and I can honestly say I don't know why! I am pleased with the size of the drum, the porthole is smaller than some of the other Aqualtis machines, which is a shame but the drum itself is a very nice size. Although I have not yet tried any "large items" looking at it, I do believe that it would comfortably hold a double duvet. Not tested this of course, so wouldn't like to say for certain. After installation by Currys I had a slight technical problem with the water supply, after calling the Hotpoint Service line I was given very helpful and prompt information - they were also good enough to tell me NOT to call out their engineers for the problem as they felt it may not be the issue I thought and if that was the case they would have to charge me for the callout...

Hotpoint WDD960 excellent for families with children

Advantages: washes well, dries well, quiet (when properly installed)
Disadvantages: installation instructions could be clearer

...and, before purchasing, I read many reviews that commented on its very low noise levels. Installation I would strongly advise getting this installed professionally, if you can. If you can't, then make sure you absolutely do not miss out on taking out the transit bolts at the back. The installation instructions is not entirely clear about this, and does not include a picture to confirm that you're taking out the right thing. We ended up running it for a couple of months with the transit bolts in place. It made huge amounts of noise and was practically taking off whenever it spun. We spent hours sitting on the floor trying to adjust the feet to make it completely level. Eventually, I found a small bit on the Hotpoint website with a picture of the bolts and we pulled it out and discovered that they were there still. In fact, one...

...I have owned the hotpoint WT960P washer for 3 mths now and, it is by far the best washer i have ever had and very easy to use. It comes with a very easy to understand manual has a 7kg drum which is great and LCD display, the size of the drum allowes you to put more washing in and, cuts down on the amount of times you have to use the washer. I have washed a double quilt in it and put it on a 1600 spin, i was amazed at how clean it was and was not that wet, i am able to put all my king size bedding in , ie cotton quilt cover, bottom sheet, valance sheet and 4 pillow cases all in one go. I had to do 2 loads in my old washer which was only a 5kg. ...I find the hotpoint WT96PO to be a fantastic machine overall, to start with it is easy to use and very inovative and modern. Although the price tag may not seem to appealing to most I feel that it is very good value for money and would recomend it to anyone looking to renew their washing machine. Once you have the hotpoint installed you will instantly notice the difference between it and your old machine. It features many different wash settings and always produces outstanding results. Not only is it a lovely little washer it also looks the part to in any modern kitchen, it comes in a lovely white colour with a very techno looking blue display screen. Id give it full marks when it comes to washing machines and recomend it fully! Five star!...

A good machine, but I wouldnt buy Hotpoint again

Advantages: Ease of use, 1600rpm spin, child lock, handwash cycle
Disadvantages: poor customer service from hotpoint, inaccurate timer

..., and then the door to unlock. So if I notice there is only a minute left I tend to spend 5 minutes stood in front of the machine waiting for it to stop! Plumbing it in was easy- it only has one feed pipe- a cold water one, and it heats the water itself. This was particularly useful when my gas boiler packed up. It is also a good looking machine, and sits nicely in my new kitchen. I did have problems with it however- it broke down twice within the first 8 months and both times, it took a huge amount of effort on my part to get Hotpoint to fix the problem. In both instances there was a delay of a month between me reporting the problem, and it being rectified, which I found to be far too long a time, for such a pricey washer. I was dissapointed with Hotpoint's customer service, and I personally would not buy Hotpoint again for that reason...

...clearly labelled. The drum itself has a capacity of 7KG so is plenty big enough for family washing. You can easily put 1 double and 2 single duvet covers in, and still have room left for pillow cases. Because of the high speed spinning, your clothes come out and feel really dry. This saves energy on tumble dryers, if you even need one. I really noticed the difference from my old machine which only went up to a 900rpm spin. When the final spin cycle has finished on the Hotpoint WT960P it carries on spinning every few seconds so that your clothes are separated from the drum wall. No more scraping your clothes out of the machine. This was a surprising new function, which wasn't mentioned in the manual. I think providing you follow the guidelines on your detergent your clothes will always come out clean and fresh, but I seemed to notice that...

I bought the Canon Ixus 960 IS as a solution to taking a digital SLR, plus lenses etc. due to hand luggage restrictions as it easily fits in a pocket. The image quality is pin sharp, focussing exceptional and since I have problems with camera shake due to arthritis I was overjoyed to find that the image-stabiliser technology works really well, except in the very darkest of night shots (taken on the cruise ship's deck).
