Advantages: Efficient cooking in oven and on hobs. Easy to clean.
Disadvantages: Waist level knobs difficult to see and read ( for a tall person.)

...I have just bought the ALL electric version of this ( assume there must be two versions based on a rreview I read here.). Its fantastic. I have no issues with it at all. The fan oven heated up and cooked beautifully. The hob rings were quick and efficiient. I managed to spill on one of the hobs ( too fast, I wasnt quick enough when it came to the boil) but it cleaned off easily and as good as new. My main gripe would be that the knobs are all along the front at waist level. I am tall and have to bend to see what is what there. I am sure with time I will be familiar with this but right now its a drawback. I liked the old Creda stand alone with a back up ( had a Creda cavelier vefore this) . Hotpoint WMD960 Polar White.

Advantages: Digital Display, Customisable, Memory, Delay Start
Disadvantages: Wash times longer than stated, smaller porthole.

...have found so far the 30 minute time saver wash takes around 45-50 minutes and I can honestly say I don't know why! I am pleased with the size of the drum, the porthole is smaller than some of the other Aqualtis machines, which is a shame but the drum itself is a very nice size. Although I have not yet tried any "large items" looking at it, I do believe that it would comfortably hold a double duvet. Not tested this of course, so wouldn't like to say for certain. After installation by Currys I had a slight technical problem with the water supply, after calling the Hotpoint Service line I was given very helpful and prompt information - they were also good enough to tell me NOT to call out their engineers for the problem as they felt it may not be the issue I thought and if that was the case they would have to charge me for the callout...

Hotpoint WDD960 excellent for families with children

Advantages: washes well, dries well, quiet (when properly installed)
Disadvantages: installation instructions could be clearer

...and, before purchasing, I read many reviews that commented on its very low noise levels. Installation I would strongly advise getting this installed professionally, if you can. If you can't, then make sure you absolutely do not miss out on taking out the transit bolts at the back. The installation instructions is not entirely clear about this, and does not include a picture to confirm that you're taking out the right thing. We ended up running it for a couple of months with the transit bolts in place. It made huge amounts of noise and was practically taking off whenever it spun. We spent hours sitting on the floor trying to adjust the feet to make it completely level. Eventually, I found a small bit on the Hotpoint website with a picture of the bolts and we pulled it out and discovered that they were there still. In fact, one...

...and simplicity of design AND it glides easily across the floor when you need to clean behind it. All relevant instruction booklets are included and are plain and easy to follow, with tips on cooking and how to get the best use out of the product as well as care and cleaning, and Hotpoint give a free 5 year parts guarantee upon registration. I would recommend this cooker to anybody and having used other manufacturer's cookers feel that Hotpoint/Creda are really a brand to be reckoned with!!...

...the kitchen and with the ceramic insert doubling as an oven dish you get extra value.It is also worth taking into account that it uses very little elctricity to run, far less than running an oven for an hour or so. -------------------- Using your slow cooker:- Choose your dish,prepare your ingredients...chuck them in, switch on and go and enjoy the day..Then come back a few hours later and enjoy your meal !!! The only things that you realy need to know is that meat is much better if very lightly fried to seal in the juices, and although this is not nessasary if you don't your meat can have almost a slimey texture. It is always worth bearing in mind that slow cookers work by keeping the moisture sealed in..so the less times you lift the lid the better !!! Meals such as porridge and rice dishes need less cooking so...

Stay clear of Hotpoint

Advantages: Reasonably good until it broke after 4 months
Disadvantages: Unrelilable, awful customer services from Hotpoint

...he'd gone, I started a wash and behold, the same fault still there. I called Comet who said because Hotpoint had replaced a part it was their responsbibility, so I called Hotpoint who said it was down to Comet. I've just spent over an hour trying to get them to decide who's problem it is, being bouced backwards and forwards between the two companies. My extended warranty is worthless, and I now have a piece of scrap metal in my kitchen with nobody taking responsibility for it. I've asked for Hotpoint to call me back after they have spoken to Comet and worked out who will sort out this problem. If I don't hear anything, I'm going to take it back to the Comet store and leave it there if I have to. You would have thought it would be a straight-forward case of "fix or replace" after just over 4 months. Latest Update...
