Hotpoint "Set & Forget" Dryer does the job Quickly and Quietly

Advantages: Quiet running, drys Quickly.
Disadvantages: Pull open door.

...Bought this Aquarius + tumble dryer as a replacement for a Hotpoint condenser dryer (that I didn't like for several reasons), this vented model is equipped with every drying option anyone could need and is fully electronic with an array of buttons that light when pressed to show exactly what program has been set, there is also an LED "count-down timer" panel that lights up with orange numbers. The main feature of this dryer is the multi-level set and forget facility, simply load the clothes select either ready to wear, cupboard dry, hanger dry or iron dry (not sure why anyone would want this setting), press the button and the temp and dry time is automatically set and will switch off at the end with 3 bleeps, you can also use it manually by setting the dry time and temp (high/Low) yourself, other features are a child lock, up to 24...

Hotpoint Aquarius Dryer!!

Advantages: Reverse Drum Rotation
Disadvantages: Standard machine for standard price!!!

...This machine I brought a few weeks ago as all my kitchen appliances started to break down within weeks of each other, its a free standing dryer with front door opening and a fairly large capacitiy of 6kg (13lb) which is invaluable to me when trying to dry large loads in winter!!! Its a fairly standard machine all round with nothing very exceptional other than that it dries your clothes. On the front of the dryer it has a fairly large drying time dial which allows a max of 120 mins drying time in one turn, this is good for large loads where you can put the dryer on for 2 hours and forget about it, but again this is fairly common on most tumble dryers, a start button, high heat/low heat button which allows you to select your heat preference. It also lists the drying times for different materials which is fairly good but I dont go by...

Hotpoint AQCF852BI nice dryer but takes a long time

Advantages: Gentle with clothes, good choice of options, takes a big load, looks good
Disadvantages: drying times - Takes almost twice as long as my old vented dryer

...This dryer replaced a basic dryer which had two controls. ON/OFF HIGH/LOW. The number of options available on this dryer was a little daunting at first but one soon gets used to it. The dryer looks nice, it seems to be very gentle with the clothes and they come out feeling very soft and smooth. Some items dont need ironing. So I like the overall performance and results, BUT....The downside of this dryer is the long drying times. I dont know if this is usual for condenser dryers but the drying times seem to be almost twice as long as compared to my old dryer (vented). For example I dried a load of towels on the "bed and Bath" setting this would have taken around 1h 15m with my old dryer but on sensor dry it took 2h 10m with the new Hotpoint. I guess in time I will get used to this but at the moment its proving to be slightly fustrating....

HOTPOINT 7KG CONDENSER TUMBLE DRYER

...My husband and I bought this condenser when we were moving into our new house - previously we had a tumble dryer with a hose but in our new house there was no actual space for the tumble dryer so we had to take a cupboard out for it and it wasn't very practical to have a hose running across the middle of the kitchen to the window!! So we decided to get a condenser (my mum has one and highly recommended them), it basically takes away the need for a hose as the water goes into a container built in to the tumble dryer. ...Hotpoint is a realiable name but it is good to get 1st hand advise on any product. This Tumble Dryer does not disappoint. It has a decent loading capacity with a maximum of 6kg, and the Energy Efficiency grade is "C" (this is a reasonable grade as the effeciency of all tumble dryers are graded on a scale of A - G with A being the best). I personally like the Start Delay Option (up to 18 hours) and the fact that it displays time remaining. Demensions are always very important and often forgotten about when purchasing a new product. Height in cm = 85, Width in cm = 60. This is a vented dryer and needs to be positioned someone where the venting hose can be placed. Hotpoint CTD-80 Drier

Advantages: All touch button controls
Disadvantages: Emptying the water tank weekly, though this is expected, being a condenser!

...I can\'t quite understand why some other reviews of this tumble drier rate it as hard to use. I have the CTD-80 model, all push button control. Press a button to turn it on, press another to choose which cycle, pop the clothes in with a smelly sheet, press another button and away it goes. Cannot possibly be any simpler than that. I do a *lot* of cotton drying on the high heat mode, display reports 2hrs 20mins for the cycle, though finishes typically a lot quicker than that. I empty the water tank once a week, defluff the door filter every cycle, and wash the condenser every month as advised by the instructions. Overall I would recommend this drier to anyone looking to complement their Hotpoint white goods. Mine currently sits on top of a Hotpoint washer, of similar digital display/control....

...Up until 3mths ago I had been happy with my no frills White Knight CL42 dryer that was until it stopped with a bang. I initially was going to buy the same one again as I had used it pretty much nonstop for 3yrs so I really could not complain that it was now broken. Hotpoint CTD85 7 Tumble Dryer, Touch of class

...tell you the time left to the end of the programme. For no other reason that I find I tend to do jobs that work round it so that I am not running from 1 thing to another. The control panel is LCD, a bit of a gadget and does not mean that much to me. Looks nice and thats about it. A few extras I do really like are the Sensor Drying and the Filter Full Indicator . Purely because they really do work to help me over drying my clothes and damaging them. therefore in the long run it is supposed to save me money as well as the dryer won't be on too long (This I will just have to wait and see!!!) *************OVERALL************ Well theres not much more to say on this one other than to go and have a look yourself in a shop. I really do like this model. Hotpoint is a favourite of mine anyway, but it would not have stopped me buying...
