It has alot of brilliant features which include: Holiday function - uses less energy when you go away; Super cool - reduces the temperature when you put the new, warmer shopping in; Super freeze - great for freezing unfrozen food quickly in 2 of the freezer drawers; Door open buzzer - when left open for more than 2 mins, the buzzer sounds and the inside light flashes (handy as the door does not always close if you just push it, it needs to be closed by hand); Salad bin - I have never seen a salad bin so big, but this means that you can fit all your veg in this drawer; Fresh drawer - A good space to put all your raw meat to keep it away from other foods. ...Walking round currys looking for a new fridge freezer on a wet sunday is not my idea of fun! but was something i had to do! After seeing lots of fridges makes and models i came accros the hotpoint ff200e! It instantly stood out its colour and curves instantly gave the wow factor i didnt care about energy rating or effecancy it was the one i wanted so its the one i got! ...Once we finally got this new model, which we had to wait over two months for, we found it really nice as it was nice and big, bigger than all the other fridge/freezer that we had seen. We thought that this machine was going to last us quite a few years. All you have to do is plug it in and just get on with your life. We have now had this fridge/freezer for 16 months. We had the engineer back within the first year 5 times as the thing stopped working, then the fridge started to thaw out and then started freezing, yes the fridge. We put a thermometer in there to check the fridge, and it went up to 10degrees C and down to -3 degrees C. We have now had the engineer out so many times now and we have lost count. ...Why I chose Hotpoint... I bought a Hotpoint Fridge Freezer in 2000 purely for that fact that I liked the look of it. It was also made in Great Britain and was a very well known make that my parents trusted and had never had problems with. Product A 50/50 split fridge on top of freezer, fairly economical white fridge freezer with nice curves and sturdy appearance which blended in to my kitchen pleasingly. Advantages It worked quietly, It had ample storage space (draws and shelving), and looked to be of sound quality as nothing looked easily breakable. Disadvantages By 2002 it had needed repairs. I had the freezer door replaced 3 times as the seals on the hinge side had become trapped and bent in the door causing it to freeze up and allowing the freezer to work overtime. Warranty covers parts on all Hotpoints up to 6yrs old...

Our first combined fridge freezer

Advantages: Good capacity for small family, no frost or condensation on interior walls.
Disadvantages: Freezer compartments quite tight for large items like pizza's etc

...This is a great fridge freezer for a small family. Our family is two adults and a child, and it copes very well with the weekly shop, although can be pretty packed. Starting at the top, from the outside, there are six buttons at the very top of the machine, three to either side of the digital display. The first on the left is the power button, which as you would imagine is used for switching the whole thing on and off. This is however an 'electronic' on/off switch therefore there will still be power going to the device if you don't switch off at the socket. One thing we noticed with these buttons is that they can quite easily be pushed 'in' and end up further back behind the facia than they should be. A gentle touch is all that is required!
