...Ahhhh! What can I say about this book. It is quite possibly one of the most endearing books I have ever read. Forget soppy...when you are tucking your little one in bed at night and they take on the role of Little Nutbrown Hare and take the story further then the hardest heart is melted. Let's explain... THE STORY This is about Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare. It is night time and guess what... like many little ones, Little Nut Brown Hare does NOT want to go to bed. So, he tries avoiidance tactics (where have I encountered these before?) He pulls Big Nutbrown Hare's ears and asks him to "Guess how much I love you". ...I had been up-grading the supplied cables with my NAIM hardware so I got in contact with that company Russ Andrews the sole supplier for KIMBER KABLE to see if they had any ideas after I explained what I was trying to do they suggested a solution buy 2 lengths of KIMBER 4PR speaker cable about a metre in length with KIMBER 4mm banana plugs to fit in the back of the NAIM power amp, I asked them on the phone how much? The answer came back £49.00, another gulp from me, I thought about it for a couple days, this was a lot of money for 2 metres of cables and a set of plugs, well to heck I thought it was cheaper than Plan A which if you included the Headphone amp and required power supply came to about £515. The ordered cable arrived about a week later, and armed with the wiring diagram from QED I wired up the socket myself the results...

The reason for this (yes there was method in my madness) was to see how far into the shoe James feet went. So putting his shoe back on, under much protest, and removing it again I had a powder imprint of his foot in the shoe. To my surprise I saw that his toes were indeed at the end of the shoe. To confirm this I made James stand on a piece of paper and drew around his foot, cut this out and placed it inside the shoe. I could clearly see that his foot was too big for the shoe. Comparing to another piercing shop now who charged me £5 for the needle, £5 for the jewellery and £5 profit and even though I know a needle does not cost £5 I consider £15 a very reasonable price. If you do decide to shell out this much money for a piercing you expect it to be performed to the best quality in the best conditions. Not so! ...When you can pick up a DECT phone for about £50, the idea of paying over £300 for something that does much the same thing seems a bit hard to justify. But there is an old quote (which I can't be bothered to look up) to the effect that paying too much costs a little money, but paying too little can end up costing everything. The Beocom is our third DECT phone, having gone through an early Philips (good but heavy) and an Ascom (even better but hopelessly unreliable - and it wasn't cheap either). At the time we bought it, there was a good selection of cheap DECT phones, but most had tiny number memories and few had Caller ID. So we walked nervously into our local B&O showroom. We knew B&O were expensive, but we were still slightly taken aback at the price - the handsets and base units are priced separately, so a glance at the price...
