Not being the biggest fan of Simon Pegg, this film wasn?t really on my radar despite seeing previews for when it was released. After seeing the previews the film reminded me greatly of The Devil Wears Prada, a film far superior to How To Lose Friend And Alienate People. Despite my prior scepticism regarding this film I ended up watching it and I have to say that it took me by surprise. Don?t get me wrong, this isn?t Oscar worthy material, the script is questionable as is the acting and some of the gags fall flat but I have to admit that for a light-hearted comedy I thoroughly enjoyed...

How to Lose yourself in a great book!

Advantages: A good central conceit.
Disadvantages: The satire isn't strong enough, the comic timing is off and it is miscast.
