...Although they're not really my preferred genre of film to watch, there's something about the occasional romcom that makes me chuckle. It's not the plot, or the direction, or the music. How To Have A Decently Unexpected Laugh

Advantages: Kirsten Dunst, Simon Pegg in his element, some very funny moments

Not being the biggest fan of Simon Pegg, this film wasn?t really on my radar despite seeing previews for when it was released. After seeing the previews the film reminded me greatly of The Devil Wears Prada, a film far superior to How To Lose Friend And Alienate People. Despite my prior scepticism regarding this film I ended up watching it and I have to say that it took me by surprise. Don?t get me wrong, this isn?t Oscar worthy material, the script is questionable as is the acting and some of the gags fall flat but I have to admit that for a light-hearted comedy I thoroughly enjoyed...

This is the first main point that I am going to make about being successful on ciao. You have to enjoy writing and reading and think of it more of a help to others than a financial support. Writing 90 words (or close to it) reviews aren't going to help anyone so it isn't really worth even doing it if your reviews are going to be 90 words long as it doesn't go into enough detail. For example, I have read music reviews that go 'I like the album. It is very good.'(often with a spelling mistake or two), whereas I try to go through each track in detail and describe what the style of this track is and whether it stands out from the others. Bernadette Strachan's new book has been jumping off the shelf at me for a while now because of its striking burgundy and orange cover, and I just couldn't resist the other day after I had been paid!
