HP DV6000 - Great value for money!
Review of HP Pavilion dv6000t by
oxonian00
Advantages: Sleek, solid performance all-round.
Disadvantages: Slightly short battery life.
...headphone jacks (great for watching a film with girlfriend/boyfriend) and Lightscribe feature which enables you to burn DVDs.
Only negative would have to be the battery life, which is around 2.5 hours and the fact that it does warm-up a fair bit after prolonged use. Aside from this, HP's DV6000 is a very slick, high performing laptop for the price....

HP pavillion dv6000 Laptop
Review of HP Pavilion dv6000t by
miniluver1990
Advantages: reliable, sturdy, looks good and good screen
Disadvantages: slightly weak battery life, and no webcam
...Iv had this laptop now for around 6 months and im satisfied with it! I got it from staples for around the £399 mark and as it was one of the cheapest ones there with a decent make (HP) i bought it.
The 15.4 inch widescreen LCD screen is fantastic colour and sharpness are great, however a bit energy sucking so if u intend to use it on trips and for buisness i would recomend having it on a low brightness.
The laptop itself has all the usual sockets and links, headphones x2, speakers, mouse and scroll, power socket, USB x3, telephone cable, wireless adapter, SD,XD card readers, build in WIFI and a DVD R+ recorder/player.
This laptop has got 104GB on the C drive (local drive)
and 7.62GB on the D drive (recovery)
959MB Ram
Processor : AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual-Core processor...

Will HP be waiting on the Pavilion?
Review of HP Pavilion dv6000t by
iamasadlittleboy
Advantages: Speedy, solid, reliable, HP
Disadvantages: A budget laptop
...Well the Acer packed in and with the warranty the store gave us credit (apparently the Acer that we had had become obselete and there was none in stock). So with the £400 or so store credit my mother wisely (and under her own guidance as far as I know) picked the HP Pavilion DV6000 (as far as I'm aware theirs no difference between this and the T model though if there is, I'm sorry). Quite why My mother (darling mother of mine) decided to ever get the pile of fecial matter that Acer claimed was a laptop I was never quite to sure, as everything in it came to peices, the keys flew off, the screen was...well dead, the AV charge wire was..erm..well dead too. Why couldn't she have gone after a real solid, well worked peice of kit like this first time round Im not sure.
So HP's...what do I think of them?
Well I'd basically take a bricky out...

HP NC6220 Business Laptop
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nc6220 - Pentium M 740 1.73 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
la_chique
Advantages: Slimline, many different options and room for expansion
Disadvantages: not too many, mainly the price issue
...as there's usually only about £20 price difference or so. It is possible to have more than one optical drive, as there are two spare drive bays.
Audio
------------------------------------------------------
There is a HP Premier sound card in the system. It is 16 bit and it comes with internal spoeakers and microphone. There is also an external volume button, and mute button, and there are the usual input/output sound ports. The microphone works well by the way, because I like to set up the voice recognition software on all systems, because my colleagues have long essay type documents to write frequently, and to save time, I always recommend using the voice recognition dictation tool. I have configured the laptop to use both the integrated microphone as well as a plugged in external microphone as it can give more clarity, because...

HP Compaq Business Notebook Nx6125
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nx6125 - Mobile Sempron 3100+ 1.8 GHz - 15" TFT by
Soundsexciting
Advantages: small, light, inexpensive, fingerprint sensor
Disadvantages: 512mb RAM with 128 of that devoted to graphics card, no infrared
...Laptops are a pretty boring subject to write a review about.
We all know what they do, so what makes this one special.
Well first let me quickly run through the specs so that you know what we're dealing with here.
It weighs in at just under 3kg which is not bad at all for a laptop/notebook. Mind you HP call it a notebook which I would disagree with. There are Sony VIAO's out there that are real notebooks. This baby however is bigger than what I could consider to be a notebook so I'm going to refer to it as a laptop.
I do a fair amount of travel on business and this machine is just about right for long distance travel to far away countries. The last thing you want is to lug around a fat heavy laptop along with your luggage at airports.
It comes with a standard 15 TFT screen capable of supporting a max 1600x1200 resolution...

HP Compaq nx6110 - Good Value Slim Laptop
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nx6110 - Celeron M 360J 1.4 GHz - 15" TFT by
fordyman
Advantages: Good list of features, slim, light and good value!
Disadvantages: No DVD-RW drive, no floppy, no volume keys, little software included.
...Firstly I'd like to say that this is my works laptop so it is used daily for many hours a day. All that time it has been totally reliable!
I have had this laptop for little over a month now. First impressions is that it looks very expensive and with all the equipment it has it is very slim and light. The quality as with most HP laptops is very good, it has a very nice black finish to it, however this can look greasy after use from sweaty palms.
The display - The display on the whole is very good. It can be seen very well from all angles. It is sharp and displays the colours well. The brightness can be changed from the keyboard. The in between setting is just right. The screen has a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 @ 24 bit colour, which is about right on a 15" TFT. One thing to note, the screen had NO dead pixels. In past...

may31980
Advantages: Has everything you have
Disadvantages: some may not like the colour
...The HP Compaq nx6110 Notebook is with useful it is good for taking around, and at the price of £450 - 550, it is a very reasonable. It can also be connected to the internet on the move using a mobile phone. It is very well designed and you can basically run your life from this if you wanted too there are so many features you can add to laptops now. It has a very nice design a slick black for that professional edge. You can use these casually for university or business; everybody will be looking at you and wondering what you're doing on it. It has a long battery life so you wont have to worry about it running low, or you can plug it in at a power point if you are inside.

HP NX9005 -Great Value, Highly Functional Notebook
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nx9005 - Athlon XP-M 2400+ 1.8 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
tomhughes
Advantages: Good spec, excellent value, nice looking.
Disadvantages: Some minor niggles, spec could be better.
...INTRODUCTION
Well I'm sitting here writing this review on my new hp Compaq nx9005 laptop which I'm well pleased with. I settled on this laptop after a fair bit of research into laptops at around the £800 mark. I was very impressed with this machine's specs and also the excellent reviews I'd read of it. I picked it up on the brilliant ebuyer.com for the bargain price of around £810.
SPECIFICATIONS
Processor: AMD Athlon XP-Mobile 2400+, a great processor which has the distinct advantage of being designed for laptops. Thus it is cooler and less power-hungry than its desktop counterparts. This helps the laptop reach an excellent running time on battery of around 4hrs with light use.
Memory: 256mb DDR Ram, which is more than adequate for most tasks. Unfortunately 64mb of this is shared as video memory so this is something...

Compaq Business Notebook 6715b
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook 6715b - Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
pieceofmind
Advantages: Price, good specs, (xp?)
Disadvantages: may have problems bettween xp and any vista systems
...Yet anoter fantastic product from HP
Hp is a global company that has been running for over 6 decades, so you know that when you buy a hp, you know what you are getting for your money.
I have owned many HPs and been happy with many hp's and this is no exeption. The price is fantastic and it has very good specifications to match.
The 15" screen is a perfect comprimise bettween view-ability and portability, the procsessor clocks at a quick 1.9 while having the advantage of being dual core. dual core meas it can handle multiple tasks quicker, ultimately speeding up the processing time of your pc. it has an acceptable 1gb of ram which means multiple programs will run fluently.
It also has windows xp proffesional, many people thnk windows proffesional is still the best buisness o.s as it is often more simple than its Vista...

NX9020 HP COMPAQ Notebook
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nx9020 - Celeron M 320 1.3 GHz - 15" TFT by
renegade2005
Advantages: Good battery life, easy to type,
Disadvantages: Quite heavy, tends to freeze up.
...It seems that other Ciao users have had poor experiences with the Compaq NX9020, but i decided to wait until i'd used it for a while before throwing my hat into the ring.
I bought the laptop on Ebay for around 180 pounds a year ago, as it has been discontinued this is the most likely place to pick one up, i just wanted something for internet access, music downloading, university work and taking it into Lectures
It has a 1.4 GHz processor with a 60 GB hard drive and 256M RAM, DVD-RW drive, TouchPad mouse and 2 USB ports, and runs on Windows XP.
I've found the laptop very suitable for my needs, it runs DVDs well, has excellent quality sound and runs multiple windows with ease, however if several memory-heavy programs are running simultaneously it can slow down or freeze altogether.
Battery life was originally around 90 minutes...
