Hewlett Packard cheaper than Epson scanners
Review of HP ScanJet 5370C by
Connoisseur_Haggler
Advantages: colour quality, can scan negatives
Disadvantages: Epson expensive
...There are a vast array of A4 flad bed scanners on the market today.
Even some of the basic ones from 600 dpi offer superb results.
I decided to look for one in the 600dpi+ range that not only scans photos and objects but also allows you to scan in negatives (very useful for old photos etc)
The HP products are renounced for reliabilty, quality and reproducibilty and are not always cheap. However when I found the HP scanner of my choice HP5370 it appeared to have the same technical sppecification and features as a similarly priced EPSON 1240U Photo, BUT the HP is at least £55 cheaper!! This is strange! If anyone can give a true comparison between these 2 scanners:
HP5370C v's EPSON Perfection 1240U Photo
They are both 1200 x 2400 dpi optical
Both are 42bit colour
Both have film./slide adapter to scan negatives too!
Both have OCR, 4...

GOOD RESULTS BUT COSTLY
Review of HP 22 - print cartridge by
JAVER1967
Advantages: GOOD PRINT QUALITY
Disadvantages: EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO OTHERS
...HP 22 COLOUR INKJET PRINT CARTRIDGE
My previous Hewlett Packard printer recently decided to call it a day, and join printer heaven via the local recycling centre.
I ended up buying a Hewlett Packard Printer / Scanner / Copier which takes HP 21 and HP 22 Inkjet Print Cartridges.
HP 22 PACKAGING AND CONTENTS
The packaging itself makes it look as if you are getting a larger cartridge than the one you actually get. For those of you that are into minimal packaging, then I would say that there is too much packaging, in the form of cardboard, and depending on where you buy them from, these are then further packaged into a see through plastic holder. The cartridges that I have bought recently come from various parts of the world, but include Singapore.
The ink cartridge itself is only 5 ml, and will print approximately 165 pages...

Hp ScanJet 5370C well worth it
Review of HP ScanJet 5370C by
Delboy161
Advantages: Fast, good quality, and easy to set up
Disadvantages: quite large, and sensitive
...I was looking for a new top of the range scanner, to go along with my Hp P1000 photo smart printer, so I needed one at a good price, but which had great quality scanning, and I found it. Everyone knows that Hp can be a bit pricey, but for around £130, this has to be worth it.
It has a max resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi (dots per inch), and this is ideal for enlarging pics and still keeping the quality in the picture. It is quick and as you can save the pics as jpegs, and other file types, it does'nt use alot of space on your hard drive.
When loading a pictuer, you also have many functions, ranging from resolution, colour quality, lighting, and inlaging or decreasing the picture size.
The scanner is slightly larger than the average flat bed scanner, but it is very user friendly, and has 4 short cut buttons on the front of it, which...

All Around Scanner
Review of HP PhotoSmart S20 by
mlheintz
Advantages: Quality, USB connectivity
Disadvantages: No APS Adapter
...The HP S20 Scanner is a good all-around scanner. The S20 can scan prints upto 5x7 inches, 35mm negatives (in strips), and 35mm slides (mounted or in strips). It provides upto 2400dpi scans of film strips which equates to over 6 mega-pixels. Prints are scanned at upto 300 dpi. The S20 also uses 36bit colour for outstanding reproduction.
I was looking into digital cameras, but I found that I could always tell a digital from a standard print. Additionally, the cost of a 6 mega-pixel camera would be prohibitive (as well as the fact that no consumer digital camera on the market offers a 6 mega-pixel CCD). So, I opted for a film scanner. I looked at the Canon, Minolta and the Nikon as well as the HP. I decided on the HP for several reasons.
First, the HP scans both prints and films. I have a flatbed scanner as well, but I like...

Excellent machine
Review of Epson Perfection 610 by
wiseoldowl
Advantages: High resolution, low price
Disadvantages: none
...I have used the Epson Perfection 610 scanner for the past 4 months. It is a very versatile machine with very high resolution capability for its price. I have used it to copy colour photographs and print them off using a Hewlett Packard HP 840 C colour printer, on HP gloss photographic quality paper, and the end result is almost indistinguishable from the original photograph! It is very easy to use, and I am extremely pleased with it. I am glad I did not have the bog-standard scanners that are provided with most of the dept store "packages" these days!...

All In One Box
Review of HP Deskjet F380 by
adamalewis2002
Advantages: Quality prints, Good scanner, quick and reasonaby priced
Disadvantages: annoying low ink pop ups
...and Asda now including an extensive range of electronics I thought it would be a good idea to pop along and see what they had to offer.
So I arrived at the Tesco Extra electronics department and was confronted with loads of all; in one printer's. How on earth would I decide which one to take home? I found Tesco has a wide range of Lexmark printers but with previous experience I decided against these and wanted to try something new. I came across this model HP DeskJet F380.
First impressions
-------------------------
Great design and looks absolutely fantastic, HP have opted for a Mac look to follow the recent trends of the Ipod and the growing sales of Apple Macs. Its appearance is curved, glossy white top and grey matt sides. Approximate size of the printer is 16" wide by 10" deep and 5.5" high. It does seem a little bulky but for an all...
