HP LASER 4200 Meets needs of contemporary business
Review of HP LaserJet 4200 by
gusgusrule
Advantages: Fast, excellent quality, ease of use
Disadvantages: Expensive consumables
...) be willing to double that budget.
In relation to other printers; its fair to say that black and white laser printer certainly have come down in price; the recent Samsung models are only £70 or £80 each however offer low speeds of just ten pages per minute; these are ideal for the home office but not for businesses. and course you have to consider this when purchasing; what will you be using the printer for? Colour laser printers start at about £800 and up to £2000 networked, so your obviously getting value for money in that respect, I wouldn't expect anyone to pay £2000 for a networked B and W printer; when they could get a colour networked one at £2000, it goes without saying.

Premier league printer (but with hidden costs)
Review of HP LaserJet 4200 by
leadboiler
Advantages: Superb speed for text printouts, quality
Disadvantages: Mixing text with graphics slows it down, no USB port
...If you are seeking a high quality, speedy beast of a printer then look no further than the hp LaserJet 4200. It's great for large businesses and networked computers. However, the extra features are less impressive than similar models. I'l try not to blind you with technology and jargon for the benefit of those who, like me aren't the best of people when it comes to technology.
*The design*
-------------------
Call me shallow but one of the first things I look for in a printer is it's ability to look good next to the furniture. For home computers, stay away, this printer is better suited to the larger office or for buisinesses. Part of the reason for this is the size, measuring 16.4 inches in width x 16.9 inches in depth and 14.4 inches in height this printer isn't the most compact of printers. The shape is a near cube...

Hp Scanjet 4200c Review
Review of HP ScanJet 4200C by
6719jason
Advantages: Very quick at preview and scan
Disadvantages: Price
...I brought the Hp scanjet 4200c scanner second hand over two years ago and have found it to be a good buy although due to a dodgy repair by the prevous owner only half of my scanner works but i still say that is one of the best scanners around.
It does not do negatives but then only the expensive ones do.
Basically it does all you could want it to do.
The preview time using the Windows xp scanner and camera wizzard it takes just 15 secs to do a preview.
The avarage scan time is just 25 secs on a normal A4 scan.
It is a very easy product to use and well worth the money.
Any one who buys this scanner will not regret buying it because it so fantastic....

HP BT 300 - A great addition to your HP printer
Review of HP Bt300 Bluetooth Wireless Printer Adapter by
RufusUK
Advantages: Small, easy to use, cheap, convenient
Disadvantages: None really
...I recently bought a new HP printer. It's an all in one that does photos while also having a built in scanner, copier, network print server, email system and web server.
On the front of this printer was a USB port and a card reader. The USB port is excellent for getting files from USB devices, but really comes in to it's own when used with the BT 300 from HP.
This is basically a small USB stick that sticks in the USB port on your printer and enables it as a bluetooth print server. This means that any bluetooth enabled device can print to the printer without wires.
The second I plugged in the device my printer recognised it and displayed the bluetooth logo on the little LCD screen. A quick scan on my phone revealed my printer sitting waiting. I selected a photo on my phone, pressed Send Via Bluetooth and it was away. I got...

HP PSC 1215 All in one printer/scanner/photocopier
Review of HP PSC1215 Printer by
Kingkarliii
Advantages: Its 3 in 1 so you don't have loads of cables everywhere
Disadvantages: None
...About 2 years ago I decided it was time to update my printer and after scanning around for some bargains I decided that the HP PSC 1215 would be the one for me. It was just what I needed a printer/scanner and copier all in one with a free 3.1 MP camera chucked in to seal the deal.
Style and Design
------------------------
The printer is a silvery-grey in colour and looks a bit like a breezeblock. The scanner copier is situated at the top and the paperfeeder is located at the front. There is also a LED display on the top with a group of buttons.
Physical Specifications
--------------------------------
Height - 6.68 in (16.97 cm)
Width - 16.76 in (42.57 cm)
Depth - 10.20 in (25.91 cm)
Weight - 9.50 lbs (4.31 kg)
Printing Quality

well impressed with my EPSON STYLUS DX 4200
Review of Epson Stylus DX4200 by
jonboy4969
Advantages: three in one printer, scanner and copier
Disadvantages: genuine ink cartridges last no time at all
...It is sunday morning and i must be bored if all i can do is right a review on this printer, well, here goes, i purchased this printer after my last one went out the window because it was not working right, i was wary about buying a 3 in 1 printer scanner and copier, but once installed (very easy to do (load the disc follow the instructions and hey presto)).
PRINTER
As a printer it is far superior to the previous one i had, the quality of the print is awesome, and the speed of print is also good, with up to 20 PPM's for black and white print and 19 for colour i found this very quick for a home ink jet printer
SCANNER
as a scanner i found this not as good as my HP scanner, but still very quick and the quality is good, for just home use this would be sufficient for general day to day use and nothing more, for professional use...

Good printer, with excellent printing abilities
Review of Canon PIXMA IP4200 by
Babrevian
Advantages: Quite cheap, decent photo prints, 5 cartridges, two feeding trays, printing on CD's
Disadvantages: Fast, but only in draft setting. Replacement cartridges can be expensive
...I bought this printer after my HP Laserjet 1000 broke. I wanted to move in a new direction and chose a Canon IP 4200. It is a very good machine. It is quite fast, although I could only reach the rated speed when selecting the lowest print quality. This printer is very sturdy and it has two paper feeders... on gravity feeder on top and a bottom drawer. Switching between the two is easy with the press of a button on the front of the printer.
It makes use of 5 different cartridges: two black, one Magenta, one blue and one yellow. This helps to keep costs down, although the price of replacements can be a shocker. When replacing all five at once it is almost the same price as the printer itself. So make sure you check the cost of replacement cartridges first. It does have a nice, but interesting, feature. When inserting the cartridge...

HP PSC1350 Printer
Review of HP PSC1350 Printer by
chamberlain265
Advantages: Superb print quality, easy to use, built in card reader and good scan quality.
Disadvantages: A bit bulky and you have to have access to the lid.
...I found this psc to be very reliable. After 2 years of constant and sometimes heavy useage it is still going strong. The scanner gives a good quality image on your pc, the copier gives you the option of both colour or black and white copies and the printing is very good quality. In fact I would rate this against many of the specific photo printers. The additional benefit of a built in sd card reader gives it an added edge. The cartidges are easy to change because it automatically centres them for you when you open the front. It is pretty robust becuase it has been knocked, moved, even dropped once and it still works perfectly. The software supplied with it is quite simple to use, as most of it is self explanitory and for the home/amateur environment, you don't need any fancy software because this has all the parts you need...

Print-Scan-Copy OK but not the greatest printer
Review of HP PSC1215 Printer by
susancarter
Advantages: Prints, scans and photocopies. Saves a fortune on photocopying.
Disadvantages: Often mis-feeds paper. Doesn't hold large number of printed sheets.
...thought it was worth it. As we got it in a pack, it is difficult to comment on the price of the printer individually although we did get a good deal overall. I had a look on Amazon and they say it has now been superseded by the "HP PSC 1510 All in One Colour Printer, Scanner and Copier" however apparently the average second hand price is £49.99
The Package
Along with the printer, the box contained:
- Quick set up poster
- Installation CD (Windows and Macintosh)
- USB cable
- Instruction Manual
- Power lead
- Black and Colour cartridges
- Front panel overlay (see "Setting up" stage 5)
I have noticed from some of the other reviews that there is not always a USB cable provided. The quick start guide says "See your box for exact contents" so I guess the thing to do with HP printers is to always...

A printer that really works!
Review of HP PSC1215 Printer by
ScottishWestie
Advantages: Quality of print, ease of use, compact, price
Disadvantages: Noisy, pricey cartridges, poor back up
...Printers, don't you just love them. Just as your multi page report for the boss comes to the last page, the ink runs dry or the paper jams. All the warning lamps are flashing like a demented Christmas tree & you haven't got the handbook handy. Yes, we all been there, trying to find a reliable printer is like trying to find an honest politician!
My tried & trusted old portable HP Deskjet 340 printer had given me around nine years of fairly loyal service when it expired after printing its last page. It was small & portable, at the time this proved to be very handy as I had a small study & little space for a small printer let alone a bigger one. A new one was required but with so many people complaining about their printers which one do you buy?
I wanted a printer with a built in scanner, I was now in a bigger house so the size...
