The Martin 812, Old Classic but Stil Impressive!

...The Martin Roboscan 812 is a very impressive light. The Roboscan 812 is now a discontinued model but can still be found at many clubs around the world, although discontinued parts are readily available on the internet. Good condition second-hand fixtures can be purchased individually for between £70-£100. I own four of theses lights and must say that for their age they will easily compete with most modern DJ fixtures. The light output is bright and has a good 'true white' colour temperature due to the use of the 150W Metal Halide Discharge bulb. The units are very heavy though (weighing not too short of 10Kg each) however, i would much rather have this weight as it comes with durability unlike many of the new breakable plastic scanners appearing from china. It is perhaps a little bulkier than recent printers I have purchased, but with it having a Photo Copier and a Scanner I guess I can easily forgive it for this little hic cup. The unit as I mentioned is largish being that it is 6.8 inches high and 16.76 inches wide with a depth of 10.22 inches, but in this matt black box is a host of features for a measly £26 quid. My main reason fro changing printer was that this baby was £1.50cheaper than buying new cartridges for my ex Lexmark printer.
