It prints back as well as colored text at a rate of 21 pages per minute; which is quite good. This is so because the printer has a single pass A4 engine. Performance may vary, with the type of document being produced; however usually a good speed is maintained by this printer. The first page is almost always printed within 12 second; irrespective of the type of document. Not only the prints are produced quickly, they are also of great quality. Often, they are identical models too, Canon have made a lot of printers for HP in the past. This time was different, the HP was the cheapest colour laser I could find where the cartridge prices were also reasonable. Being a laser printer, these do take drums as well as toner cartridges. All laser printers do, but the cartridges for this one come together with the drum. Its HP 'arry but not as we know it

Advantages: prints fast, good quality prints, low maintenance, long cartridge life
Disadvantages: poor photograph print quality

...No office is complete without a printer, working from home a few days a week means I need to have everything to hand and when my recent printer died and became unfixable I was left with no option but to buy a new one. I have always been loyal to HP printers because I believe them to be the best in the business, they are all designed quite similarly so if you are upgrading to a new one then there isn't usually much difference in how it works but what it does and how quickly it does it. The HP Color LaserJet 3800n was recommended to me by a business colleague who himself owned one and he said it was sturdy, quick and reliable in a crisis, so being on a deadline for a presentation I purchased it for £429 which in todays market is great value for money. This isn't one of those £50 printers which will print 8 pages a minute...

It is the ideal home or small office printer, the paper tray on the LJ2605 is small so required topping up constantly with paper. The LJ2605 is easy to use and the instructions on the led screen are simple and easy to follow, the screen is a little on the small side though. You should be able to pick this printer up for less than £300. 00 Toner is easy to source as most suppliers stock it and are retailing for around £50.00 each??. and this is the main drawback with this machine, the toner packs are quite small so you don't get much for your money and to replace all four colours is going to cost almost £200.00. Being an Hewlett Packard makes it easy to maintain, parts for this printer are reasonable priced and readily available...
