...Yet anoter fantastic product from HP Hp is a global company that has been running for over 6 decades, so you know that when you buy a hp, you know what you are getting for your money. I have owned many HPs and been happy with many hp's and this is no exeption. The price is fantastic and it has very good specifications to match. The 15" screen is a perfect comprimise bettween view-ability and portability, the procsessor clocks at a quick 1.9 while having the advantage of being dual core. dual core meas it can handle multiple tasks quicker, ultimately speeding up the processing time of your pc. it has an acceptable 1gb of ram which means multiple programs will run fluently. It also has windows xp proffesional, many people thnk windows proffesional is still the best buisness o.s as it is often more simple than its Vista counterparts... Read review

...messing about with marker pens. It came with Windows Vista Premium, which is taking me time to find my way around after using XP for some time, but I am getting there slowly but surely. You can work between Windows desktop, Windows Media Centre and HP Touchsmart centre, they all have varying programmes within each area, and of course you can open each programme just by touching the screen i.e. the weather, a web page, your photos etc. It comes with lots of other features, such as a bulletin board (with post it notes) you can either write a note, or record a message. A built in webcam and microphone to enable you to talk to friends and have video conferences. The reference guide that came with the pc is very easy to understand and follow and very useful.... ...This is one of the superb computers added by HP. One of the fasted computers installed with windows vista because it has 2GB RAM. Double layered DVD rewriter is excellent. The Chassis is well built. It is the right choice for business purpose. This is also good choice for home use also. HP has one problem regarding Drivers i.e. they do not ship driver CD with product, this is the same problem which this product suffers. I would have felt happy if they shipped driver CD with this product. The chassis is good but it should have been more compact for space management. Processor it shipped with is one of the best, fastest, power efficient noise less and unique. I want to recommend this product for all short of people.... Read review

...A value for money laptop. Good 17" widescreen, loads of memory 2GB, Good hard drive size and I have the AMD 64 AthlonX2 processor. All this combined gives reasonable speed for the cash paid. I use mainly for home use ie internet, word documents etc and it copes easily. The speakers are a little weak but this is to be expected. The laptop is also quite light and therefore confortable while sitting on your knees. As a previously mentioned the camera can be dodgy at times but if you dont use this facility like me its not of great concern. Its also good to keep the system updated with the with the HP updates and the Microsoft Vista updates. This will ensure stability and the most up to date security and drivers.... Read review

Disadvantages: Battery life could be better

...about which I regularly do and don't have to worry much about damaging it. This is not a pretty laptop, the design is plain and understated, exactly what you expect from a HP business laptop. HP Service I have had a few problems but they have been sorted very quickly. The power supply was over heating so got replaced and the DVD drive was making a loud rattle. Both times I submitted a service call on the HP site and the replacement part was at my door within 36hrs in N. Ireland with a prepaid label to return the faulty part. Overall I would recommend this laptop and the HP service and support. It is a good desktop replacement which can also be moved around very easily and reasonable battery life for the spec and price. Look for the HP cashback offers, when I got mine there was £100 cashback, took just over a month to arrive... Read review

Advantages: Good build quality, easy setup

...for six disks you can set it up with a mirrored pair for the OS and still have enough room for a RAID5 data set that includes a hot spare. Some of the servers I have built do not allow for this kind of configuration as you can only have one container on the backplane. When it comes to support HP are pretty good although I have found IBM to be slightly better on this score but I have dealt with IBM a lot more so it may be a slightly biased view. On the whole if I had to recommend a server for running a small/medium sized business using somtheiing like Microsofts Small Business server I would definatley go with either one of the 300 ranges or an X2 series IBM. The only shame with it is that they have dropped the Compaq branding from the case. As far as I'm concerned HP do printers and Compaq make servers but if thats the only real criticism I... ...First Impresions: Nice Case P4 = Good (but Athlon XP better) Medium Specs Can Play Games Nice Ammount Of Ram Won't fall apart on you The case is almost exactly like that of the other HP macine. It would look good, as HP are behind it. I don't know why they bother really, they only make 0.08% profit on every machine sold. The specs are that of a medium PC. The 512mg ram is a nice touch and will open up many games, and a fast load time in games like Enemy Territory. Now, the nicest bit is S-ATA, so if you care to update your hard drive buy the 2 Raptors (10000rpm, S-ATA) and put them into Raid 0 (for more info on raid see any decent PC site). Onboard grahics bring what could have been a very good machine crashing down to the state of good. However, there is suppost to be a 8x AGP slot, so you can override the rubbish graphics...
