Advantages: Super size, great definition, great colours and essential with using CAD
Disadvantages: Make sure that you have space on your desk for it

...My husband purchased this about 2 months ago as he was previously using a 19" monitor for his CAD work on furniture design. The unit was easy to assemble and link up to my existing PC. ...I bought this laptop around April 2005 from PC World Business, at around 1000 GBP. It was delivered without a modem, although the specification did list a modem. After a month of adventures, and after exchanging three laptops, the third one arrived with a modem. HP refused to apologise, said they had told PC World not to sell that batch due to missing modems. Anyway, once I got one with a modem fitted, I was extremely pleased with the performance of the laptop, and the extras, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IR, etc, etc. Those happy times lasted only until the display backlight failed a couple of months later. Thankfully, within warranty so the laptop was collected and the display replaced for free. However, just after the standard one-year warranty expired, the backlight (of the new display) failed again. Advantages: Very Upgradable, Cheaply Priced, Very Reliable.
Disadvantages: The nVidia 7500LE is by no means an efficent card, No front case fan.

...I have found the Compaq SR2125UK a very powerful machine, I bought it as a secondary machine from PCWorld back in May 2007. When I first bought it I didn't realise it's full potential of what it's very upgradable motherboard can have. It's processor which comes shipped with it is an Intel Pentium D 915 which is around one of the first Dual Core processors around and is now starting to age a little, but this machine will happily take any Intel Core 2 Duo's. It'll also take up to 4GB of PC5300 DDR2 RAM and any PCIe x16 graphic card (with a PSU upgrade). So onto my first experience with this Compaq, after it had been delivered in a massive 4x4x4 foot box I was at first a little dissapointed to find a Micro ATX tower (smaller size computer) as alot of these towers which I've had experiences with have had cooling problems. My evaluation has covered the HP Compaq TC1100, the Motion M1200, the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120, and the Toshiba Portégé 3500. What follows is a brief discussion of the HP TC1100 which I hope will give users some guidance and prove informative. The HP TC1100 is the most versatile tablet PC design overall. ...The HP 840C is my second HP printer, my first one being the 640C which I purchased a couple of years ago. I have had my HP 840C for 6 months now and i'm very happy with it. It has been a very sturdy machine, with good, fast printing speeds, excellent quality printing both on cheap and expensive paper, and also you dont need to use it on best quality to get good results as the standard quality is good enough for most jobs. I haven't seen a better printer for printing out photos on than the photo quality that we can see in this printer when used with HP photo quality paper. Operation of this machine and maintenance tasks like changing ink cartridges is an absolute doddle. I haven't had to replace my cartridges yet however because this printer is very economical when it comes to ink use and you can also use cheap paper for generic tasks... Read review
