HP Compaq Business Notebook 6530b

Advantages: its fast, stylish and very portable
Disadvantages: could be smaller for portability

...This is another notebook from the HP Compaq range that isn’t quite as small as their other ones. Yet still has enough portability for it to be called a notebook. Its basically a mini laptop that runs on windows vista so it lets you do anything you would normally do, in places you wouldn’t normally be able to do them with a full sized PC or laptop. One of the greatest things about this notebook is that the keyboard is actually full sized. If you’ve ever been on an Eee PC for a while you’ll know that it can get a bit frustrating after a while of typing. However with this particular model the keypad is spread out right across the length of the notebook meaning they have actually been able to make a full sized keypad out of it. This basically means you’ll be able to type just as well as you would on any...

HP COMPAQ.

Advantages: PERFORMS WELL
Disadvantages: COSTLY.

...The hp Compaq stunned my mind when I heard its ability to deliver proven technology. I have some influence on deciding on which type of computer hardware or software to purchase in office. The PC device comes with dual core technology type and the dual core simply means that the PC is capable of having more than one processor and it has advantages over those PCs that have only one processor because it is quite faster and can process numerous in formations at a given time. I am considering very much on buying this since I have gotten the guarantee through the one I use for my office work. HP has proven their competence on making computer hard wares including printers that I regard one of the best in the market currently. Well getting this in my household would cost me quite some money because this is an office use. Since I am now...

HP Compaq DC7600 - The Business Machine

Advantages: Small, Professional, Covers Basic Needs
Disadvantages: Anything more then Basic Needs and it Starts to Struggle

... Hp Compaq dc7600 Introduction I do not like these machines. My work has decided to purchase them and everyday between the hours of 10.30 and 7.00 I am surrounded by the menacing humming of tiny hamster churning the cogs within these towers. Now maybe my dislike could quite possible be unjust, maybe the fact that I?ve associated it with work could lead to prejudice, I can accept that. There are good points and there are bad points to these machines. The thing you have to realise though is that they are made for businesses, I shall explain this further into my review. Specs Depending on the machine you buy your specs can range from nothing to anything. I?m going to base this review of the version I have, all the options are store defaults supplied directly from HP. * Intel Pentium Processor 3GHz * 1Gb Ram...

HP Compaq DC7800 *****

Advantages: Very stylish, reliable high specification PC
Disadvantages: HP software not really needed.

...The hp dc7800 is a brilliant consumer product, i currently work for a computer firm and we have had quite a few HP deskyop PCs brought in and installed for our clients. The Hp desktops are very reliable and speedy machines, they tend to come complete with manufacturer software such as:- - Roxio CD/DVD creator - HP system software manager - HP protest tools security software The hp software is not really needed but the roxio cd/dvd creatpr is very useful. This PC will be perfect for business use, and possibly a decent gaming machine. Samll review on the installed hardware PROCESSOR - Core 2 Quad Q6600 / 2.4 GHz very speedy processor, reliable and fast, perfect for multifunction tasks. MOTHERBOARD - Intel Q35 Express very fast and reliable motherboard, with a bus speed of 1066Mhz this mainboard would be...

HP Compaq NX6325

Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Doesn't come with installation discs, I've had issues with WLAN

...When I finally decided to swap my bulky, faulty PC for a sleek new laptop, I made it my mission to find a decent model that didn't cost the Earth. As all the high street entry-level laptops I looked at came with £399 price tags and generally left something to be desired, I decided to look online and came across this little beauty. The HP Compaq NX6325 set me back £397 at shoplaptop.co.uk (plus delivery and a smart Belkin carrying case). Although prices seem to have fallen in the 4 months since I bought it, I think this is good value for money and technical stats-wise one of the best laptops you can buy for under £400. Don't necessarily let the "Business" bit in the title put you off - this is a brilliant computer for personal use as well, and is a cut above what most retailers offer in a similar price range. I have been using it...

The ideal solution

Advantages: All users can have up to date software
Disadvantages: It has an low power usuage

...What is it? A “thin client” is a device that enables all applications to be run from a single server instead of the applications been run from the individual persons computer. Compaq evo thin client T20 otherwise known as the “thin client” for people in the trade. Compaq evo is a Microsoft based terminal, which means it has the ability to connect over a network to an operating system (server) which has a citrix metaframe software operating. Thin client enables the server to control all applications, processing and storage. This means all applications are run from a single server, thus the thin client is used to process keyboard input and screen output, and hence is where the users applications and folders stay. Experience The experience I have had with Compaq evo thin client T20 is that they are...

HP Compaq nx7300 - Good for business

Advantages: Great overall build quality, great screen, it's fast enough for you old man
Disadvantages: Not much memory, dull looks aren't going to wow the ladies (never stopped me!)

...I've recently been able to test this laptop as my stepdad has received one through his work. It's the first time I have seen an HP/Compaq laptop, but I've used many other brands so I'll be mainly using them as a comparison. At first glance, the laptop has a very ordinary design, but when you pick it up you quickly appreciate the build quality. It is quite light, and yet very sturdy, and feels like it could happily take a few knocks ( lucky as my stepdad has a short temper!! ). I also really like the keyboard, it feels great to type on and there is no "give" like my own current laptop ( an Acer Ferrari ). The touchpad feels ok but I've never been a big fan of these, so I think I'd stick to my trusty mouse. One thing I was really impressed with is the screen. Although the resolution isn't great for the 15.4" screen, the brightness...

HP Compaq Business Notebook Nx6125

Advantages: small, light, inexpensive, fingerprint sensor
Disadvantages: 512mb RAM with 128 of that devoted to graphics card, no infrared

...with 32-bit colour. No antiglare filter but the screen is actually quite bright and apart from when used in direct sunlight I've not had a problem reading it. It uses the AMD 64bit Turion processor which is unusual for HP/Compaq as they have only ever used Intel in the past. In fact I'm pretty certain this is the first time they've gone for AMD. Its probably one of the reasons why its cheap (£650) and the reason why you get rather good performance from it. I'll come to that later. By the way if you look at the specs that I'm listing and compare them with the specs listed for this machine in the CIAO pages you'll find a number of major differences. e.g. CIAO show this as using the 3100+ Sempron processor which is different to my machine) I'm not sure if CIAO have got the wrong specs or whether there are a number of versions of this...

HP Compaq Presario M2000 Laptop

Advantages: Good battery life and features
Disadvantages: Had several problems, looks bulky and unstylish

...side houses the laptop's PC Card slot, the network and modem jacks, the VGA connection, and an expansion port for an optional notebook expansion base. When you look at this laptop it seems quite bulky, but is actually much lighter than it looks. The Compaq Presario M2000 is big and square--1.8 inches tall, 13.2 inches wide, and 11 inches deep--but it's very portable at 6.4 pounds. The power adapter adds less than a pound more. The laptop is comfortable to use. The keyboard has a firm feel, though its keys don't depress very far. The all-black lettering on the light-gray keys doesn't jump out, but it's readable. The keyboard's excellent layout places the <Delete> and <Ctrl> keys in opposite corners where our fingers could fly right to them. The touchpad is more rectangular than most, with stamped vertical and horizontal lines that show...
