...Compaq is a very good place to buy all of your computer software and hardware.I frequently visit because I have never visited and found that they do not have what I am searching for but if they ever did I know they would have it in just a couple of days.This place is good for people of any age because it has everything from computer games to hard drives.There are plenty of Compaq retailers around so where ever you live you shouldn't have to travel far to get to a store.It is also a lot cheaper than most places even though it sells all the same quality goods.... Advantages: Good keyboard, nice screen, memory, hard drives and graphics for money
Disadvantages: Unfortunately this model doesnt have the HDMI which newer ones do.

...A value for money laptop. Good 17" widescreen, loads of memory 2GB, Good hard drive size and I have the AMD 64 AthlonX2 processor. All this combined gives reasonable speed for the cash paid. I use mainly for home use ie internet, word documents etc and it copes easily. The speakers are a little weak but this is to be expected. The laptop is also quite light and therefore confortable while sitting on your knees. As a previously mentioned the camera can be dodgy at times but if you dont use this facility like me its not of great concern. Its also good to keep the system updated with the with the HP updates and the Microsoft Vista updates. This will ensure stability and the most up to date security and drivers.... Read review

...One thing HP Compaq are good at is making great laptops for business people. This clearly shows in this laptop as it incorporates everything a business man would need in a laptop. This laptop clearly isn’t the best looking laptop iv ever seen, but its not ugly. Its all in one colour, black, which in this case doesn’t make it look so horrible due to its nice square shape structure. There are so many things wrong with this design, yet somehow I do really like it. The installed ram on this laptop is an average 1 gb. This is ok but could have been dramatically improved if it was a 2gb of ram. The ram can however be upgraded, and it can be upgraded to a maximum of 4 gb so if this is something you think you could do your self then you could easily buy cheap ram off eBay and install it yourself, however if you don’t know... ...come along this should do just fine. There's no floppy disk drive, although there is a memory card reader at the front that will handle all common card formats. The recordable DVD drive will write + and -R/RW discs as well as dual layer DVD+Rs, while there is also a second DVD drive. The case looks very neat and its good to have many of the features accessable from the front. Software includes Windows XP Home, WinDVD SE, WinDVD Creator and HP Image Zone. All these programs are free to install and use, however some are just demos for a limited number of days. If you want a fast portable laptop then this is great, it will cost around £600 though which is quite expensive for a laptop that only has 80gb of hard drive and just 1gb of ram. This might put you off it however it is very portable and its got fantastic battery life as well as looking a lot nicer than most laptops designed for business men and portability so altogether it’s a fantastic laptop.... ...that the upgrade options are limited. This is partially true. Memory can be upgraded to 2Gb at 400DDR (plenty for most people) and it is very unlikely the processor will need an upgrade in the next couple of years. The CR Drive can be chanded for a DVD-ROM, or a DVD Writer, or even a CDR or DVD/CDR combo. so pleany of choice there. Unfortunately, there is limited space of the inclusion of extra hard drives, or additional PCI Cards. However, this machine is not aimed at the upgrade market. It is squarely aimed at the small form factor market, and the machine exceeds all expectations. Unlike so many manufacturers who seem to beleive that small form factor machines must be "feature crippled". Compaq (or HP if you prefer) have proved that this is not the case. With the sleek styling and quiet operation, this machine would not look too out of place... Read review

...might like to have the tower on their desks so they can access the floppy drive easy and also maybe burn a CD. While you work you hear something that sounds like a hamster on it's wheel. Well in fact it's the poor 14gb hard drive. So this was no good for business use but what about home use? Maybe you want a computer for your kids bedroom which you can purchase cheaply. Well I still think it's rubbish even for that. The limited hard drive space will be filled up in no time if they decided to install a game or two. The graphics card is just too out of date and you really need a more up to date operating system. Your computers security will be a lot higher because Windows XP seems to have more bugs the a bug zapper... Why do Compaq like put their name in big red letters?
