...Although the 1100 has all the usual HP features and print quality, it really falls down on it's paper handling capabilities. Having purchased a dozen or so of these printers we found within a very short space of time that the printer was feeding several pages at once and consequently jamming. We tried all the usual methods to stop this such as changing the paper supplier and ensuring the paper was separated before loading. After having spoken to HP they sent out a small rubber coated part which made no difference whatsoever. As this fault occurs on all our 1100's I assume HP know of this fault but are ignoring it.... Advantages: good print quality

...If you take a look at Canon LBP2900 you will see that this printer mimic HP LaserJet 1020 and HP LaserJet 1022, not only in the design but it take the SAME cartridge (Q2612A or 12A for short)....The seller tell me that and I saw that with my eyes The top cover should have a sensor to tell you that the cover is closed so if you forget to open it the papers will not accumulate under the cover.. And if we compare it to HP LaserJet 1022 you will find that LBP2900 have no tray cover which prevent the papers from dusts (Canon LBP3000 have a tray cover). LBP2900 produce good quality prints but this printer is an example for the product that you hate because of its software... If you have a 64-bit system (like Vista64 or XP x64) or you are using Mac OS X then don't buy it, because there is no drivers for these systems, also there is drivers... Read review

...This little bombshell is cheap (a little over £73), reliable, simple to use and after almost a year of heavy printing it hasn't given any trouble what-so-ever yet. One small problem I have with it is that it is an HP and my past experience with other HP products and service hasn't been good, but I'm hoping they've changed their outlook on service. The toner is very economical and I would recommend this printer for both office and private use. So far I'm very impressed. The software does not warn you when the toner is running low so it is always a good idea to have a spare. A front paper cover which should be a standard item is sold seperately.... Read review

...This is the fastest printer I've ever had (after canon ip4000, Epson r340 and brother dcp110). I print 500+ pages per month and this hp printer is ideal for this purpose. Its a little on the large side and make considerable noise so potential buyers might want to take this into account. Another reason for my purchase was HP offer for 3 year next business day warranty upgrade. With Hp original ink cartridges the cost per page is very low. The original 20ml black cartridge lasted for 600 A4 full page letters, that's 33 pages/ml of ink on normal mode (1.7p per page) and my print coverage was definitely more than the typical 5% (manufacturers use this coverage as benchmark to calculate cartridge life). And finally the print quality is excellent, even on draft mode (for proof reading). It's not the best if you are looking for printing... Read review

...Now for a long time I have been a committed Hewlett Packard man when it comes to printers. The one provided by my employer as my printer for working from home is a HP Office Jet and I have no problems with it. My old home computer printer was a HP too, a 640C. However as you can read in my review of that whilst it was good, well made and reliable it was not fast enough. Of course like most things connected with (and to) computers new and better products are launched all the time. I now have a Canon S800 and I bought it mainly to indulge in my new passion of digital photography. The Canon is a little bigger than the HP was. It is about the same width but a little deeper and higher. It is finished in a high quality two tone effect which looks quite attractive. ...Here we have one of hewlett packards printers named laserjet 5si. Very good printer its economical for both business use and single use. the good thing about this printer is that you can print and keep printing and the ink would last you for about 2 years. One only problem that i found with this printer is that when you connect it to windows xp it would keep coming up with letter instead of A4 which in these days most people use A4. This problem was then solved by going into the printer menu in XP and changing the setting. Apart from that an excellant printer for your money and you will be surprised when you see this printer start working very well built for business use and home use.... Read review
