...-- HP LaserJet 6L in brief… This printer has been working with me from ages. I know it’s considered a bit old at the moment and the last time I logged to HP website, I found it was discontinued; however it’s a great printer with great functionalities. I bough this printer about 4 years ago, when It was a hit in the market and hp was just offering it to the people, I think it was one of the most successful printers to the HP company. Anyway, I am writing this review to the people who liked to work with this printer as I suppose its hard to get one at the moment because its not for sale anymore, and also because there is new models that offer many vast and more functionalities than this printer with a reasonable price. ...Although now discontinued, this review may be helpful to anyone looking to pick up a quality HP laser printer on Ebay or similar. The HP LaserJet 2100 printer will satisfy anyone who is looking for the very highest in print quality and has an eye for good value ! True 1200 x 1200 dpi provides high quality laser output, at 10 pages per minute, not super fast, but more than enough for what I need. Installation was an absolute doddle, although not USB Plug & Play, being an older printer, Windows XP knows exactly what to do with all necessary drivers included ! It's connected to my network with a mini print server (not reviewed here) on the parallel port via ethernet cable, although you can, of course connect direct to th eparallel port on your PC. ...I bought this printer last summer, as I work from home and the cost of inkjet printing was getting a bit expensive, so I splashed out on this HP LaserJet 1100 model. Before buying I did a lot of research and found that, although a bit more expensive than your average printer of this specification, from past experience buying them for the office and home, I have found HP printers to be extremely reliable and they just keep on going. We have an HP in our office at the moment that is 10 years old and still going strong, never needed anything doing except a bit of cleaning - so based on it's pedigree, I went for the HP. It's a nice looking machine, quiet in operation, fast printing and economical. ...First off I was given this printer as they were replacing all of the old black & white laser printers with colour laser printers. I currently own two printers, one inkjet and this laserjet, which is the best option really as I can use one for graphics and one for text. The LaserJet 4L isn't the fastest of all printers, if you're printing a large document with a fair few pages then it might be worth going to put the kettle on and getting a cup of coffee while you wait for it to print as it's a little bit like waiting for paint to dry. Even though it's not the fastest of all printers the quality isn't too bad if you're just looking to print text, if you've included images within your document then don't expect anything brilliant from this printer because as far as images go it really does make a mess of them. ..., in all its packaging, was as tall as I am. How big exactly is this thing once it is out of the packaging I thought. Ah well, between 4 grown adults we finally got the printer into the office and spent 20 minutes trying to take off the packaging - not the easiest thing in the world as the printer was heavy and it was too tall for us to open at the top. Anyway, printer finally unpackaged now stood about a third of my height - and was way too big for the desk we had assigned for it (poor Ann couldn't even see the top of it). 1 change of desk later we put it all together and were ready for the driver installation. Next came the second problem - this printer is not Vista compatible screamed the installation CD - even though the manual and packaging says it does. Advantages: Networkable double sided printing with a small footprint

...This is a great workhorse printer from H.P. its fast with clear, crisp print results, the extra paper tray is useful for having plain and letter headed paper ready to print, or even different sizes. Easily networkable, and the duplex is fast without paper jams which seems to happen often on other machines I've used. This machine has a small footprint so if space is at a premium in your office but the workload is high, this might be the printer for you. Hewlett Packard make good reliable printers in general and if the LJ4250dtn develops any faults H.P. parts are cheaper and more easily available than most. There is one fault I am aware of with this machine relating to the duplex unit, if you expect to do a lot of double sided printing, it has a habit of becoming a bit noisy; there is a cog that wears under the extra load caused... ...HP LaserJet 1010 Printer Printing is a huge part of my life. Studying at university right now makes for lots and lots of printouts. Whether it is lecture notes, essays or hundreds of pages of journals, my printing needs are massive. My inkjet just could not cope with the amount of work I needed to churn out, so I headed to my friend at The Computer Shop to get a great printer. When I would use my inkjet, each black cartridge would set me back around £15, and would only last me a couple of weeks. This was costing so much money, and also the ink would come off in my hands from the printed sheets of paper. Not the best thing to happen, especially when handing in an important essay. ...Ok so finally deciding to opt for a mono laser rather than another colour inkjet I decided to go online and shop for the newest and funkiest on teh market. I ended up at PCworld- being the kind of person I am, shopping online just isn't good enough sometimes when you want to touch and feel the product! After bending the poor ear of a very unsuspecting sales assisstant he recommended this one as it was the newest out. His other option was sumsung similar version in the same price bracket.. I have to say though the Samsung is prone to paper jams- and how do you know this? I hear you ask- well teh trusted sales assisstant had on at home ( as did his sales assisstant friend) and they both said although the Samsung is £10 cheaper it's jus not as good. I work for an IT out sourcing company and we support the IT requirements of many medium to large corporations - one of which had just ordered a range of HP 2500n and HP 3500n printers throughout their UK offices (about 20 offices in total).
