HP Officejet 6310 Multifunction Inkjet printer.
Advantages: Good build quality, quick, networkable, quiet, excellent results, fax
Disadvantages: Software can be obtuse
...Media card is not supported.
Although it is easy to set up, some DIY is needed, as every country has a different control panel cover, but this is not a real problem. The device may be set up as a USB printer, or a network printer using ethernet cable. Wireless networks require an optional extra bluetooth wireless connector. As my network is a hybrid, wireless and ethernet, this is not a problem.
The software needs to be installed on every computer which will use the network. The minimum OS requirement is Windows 98SE, but to use all the features you will need XP. Also Mac OS X v 10.2.8, 10.3, 10.4. It will need up to 750Mb of sapce on your hard drive.
The software operates as a centralised control panel on the computer, from where all operations may be executed. It can even tell you the total page count of the printer.

Officejet Pro a waste of desk space
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: wont print more that 100 sheets per print head
...I bought a H5400 duplex and within 2 weeks the print head started to malfunction and readable black copies could only be made in 'Photo' mode. I waited nearly 2 more weeks for a replacement print head and within 2 days this also malfunctioned. HP echanged the machine within 10 more days with a reconditioned unit. I complained I didnt buy a recon unit I wanted a new one because the recon unit didnt work from the get go. I wouldnt buy a new car with 20,000 miles on the clock would you. Also it will only print labels in best quality mode as it skids them through and miss aligns them in normal mode. It also will not print edge to edge envelopes. The closest it will print to the left edge is 1 inch I print my company logo in the top left corner. Not anymore. It can take up to 5 minutes to warm up in a morning churning and whiring away...

Printing made easy thanks to OfficeJet
Advantages: easy to use and install, super fast prints, always clear print outs, long lasting cartridges
Disadvantages: expensive outlay
...When we were looking at a office printer price wasn?t a consideration and neither was performance so when the HP OfficeJet Pro K850 was recommended by a client I had no hesitation in paying £245 for a the mono version (i.e. the black and white model).
Size wise it wouldn?t take up too much room and easily fit into the slot left by our now defunct printer. The dimensions being:
Width: 61cm
Depth: 43.4cm
Height: 20.5cm
Weight: 12.3kg
Installing the printer was easy and once the driver software was installed onto our server each individual PC detected it immediately and was able to send print jobs to it without any real fuss or bother.
Built into the printer is a Motorola ColdFire 4e 256 MHz processor and it uses HP PhotoREt III image enhancing technology to ensure that all of the prints that come off are always...

All for one
Advantages: Focuses on friendships
Disadvantages: Concepts may be difficult for very young children to understand
...All for one.
Another book by Jill Murphy, who over the years has been quite a prolific children's story book writer
This one focuses on friendships, and is a great book to read to children who might be going through problems with friends, and who may feel they are being left out of things.
THE STORY AND ILLUSTRATIONS.
The story begins with Marlon, who is a dragon, and also the main character in the story, running out of things to do. He had done all of his favourite things, like drawing and making secret caves, and goes to his granny to say that he wished he had someone to play with. Granny and mum get him to tidy up his mess, and he goes outside where he finds his friends hitting each other with swords. They are playing the Three Muskateers and when Marlon asks if h can join in, they won't let him, because there are of course...

Good affordable HP Officejet Pro K5400
Advantages: Provides fast and economical prints
Disadvantages: photo printings not the best i have seen
...At first I had a few problems loading the cd,it kept saying the disc couldnt be read, found out it was just a faulty disc which was promptly replaced (from the shop I brought it from)
As for the printer it does everything and more. You can get too types of cartridges for this printer, the standard ones which print about 500 pages and the XL cartridges that print about 2400 (thats a lot of printing)
My printer came complete wth 4 inks, and 2 printerheads -
(I think this is standard, across the board)
So far I have printed off holiday photos, leaflets and flyers and I can say the printer is fast and economical,it prints top quality prints in next to no time.
In addition to the cartridges and printerheads this printer also came with an add on bit at the back which can be used for double sided printing (will come in useful I think!)...

HP PHOTOSMART PRO B9180 - TOP NOTCH
Advantages: Quality of print no matter what size
Disadvantages: Cost
...Technology used (HP Thermal Inkjet) certainly works well. Also this printer automatically detects the size of paper you are using. The quality is as good in large prints as in small.
**********SPEED*********
Definately the print speeds are very good with this model. It can easily produce a A3+ print in less than 2min 30secs, to an excellent standard.
*********** WARRANTY***********
The standard warranty for this product is a one-year limited hardware warranty, but I know that this can be extended at some dealers.
***********INCLUDED**********
The Photo Printer itself (obviously), HP 70 Printheads (x4), HP 38 Pigment Ink Cartridges with Vivera Inks (8 individual ink cartridges), HP Photosmart Premier Software on CD-ROM, HP ProPrint plug-in for Adobe Photoshop®, user's guide, power cord and a quick start booklet...

HP Wireless G 2101nw - an embarrassing waste of my time
Advantages: None. It does not work for any length of time.
Disadvantages: Setup is not quick. Product gives up the ghost and does not reconnect. Telephone support unhelpful
...hp 2101 nw
I bought one of these for a friend/customer of mine, to make his life easier printing from his new wireless laptop.
He has a standard wireless router that works just fine. He has an HP printer that has worked just fine for ages via USB cable with his desktop PC, but with the addition of his new laptop to his house, a wireless solution that could be shared by the desktop PC and the new laptop was an obvious choice.
I even phoned HP to check that the HP printer and the HP wireless print server would work together with Windows XP Pro. They said it would be fine.
Unfortunately this is not true and so far this "solution" has cost me much support time because the wretched device does not work properly. The supposedly attached printer consistently disappears and will not reconnect. Only a full re-instal will repair it...

The inkjet that likes to think it's a laser
Advantages: Reasonable printing costs, quick print speed, very good quality in both colour and B/W
Disadvantages: It could be smaller
...The HP Officejet Pro K5400 costs about £80 (it depends where you get it from) and its marketing point is that it is supposed to be the world's fastest desktop printer for business color. I'n not quite sure what the differnce between business colour and other sorts of colour are, but hey, who's worrying!
It's a good machine to have if you want a reasonable nod towards a colour laser printer, but don't actually want the expense and desk space of owning one.
It does colour printing of a very good quality - good enough for photos It works really well with HP photo paper (I've done a separate review of that if anyone is interested). It prints in 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution in black and white and 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution in colour.
In terms of desk space, it's about average - I find all HP printers quite bulky, but it sits nicely...

Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG
Advantages: Reliable, Fast, Cheap adapter.
Disadvantages: Only provides 802.11 a/b/g, whereas N is much faster for not much money.
...I had to replace the wireless adapter in my notebook due to defect, it was a broad com one, however, due to having problems with it, I chose to go for Intel this time, a great choice!
This card is much more reliable in terms of not dropping the signal, and, I find that I get a better overall reception, boosting speeds everywhere.
For the convenience that this card gives, it is a great buy, if your note book has the port for one, it is much better than an external wireless adapter, just because it is hidden away inside the case, not adding any extra bulk to your notebook.
Installation (for me), couldn't have been easier, Windows Vista recognized it and immediately installed it, and I was ready to surf within seconds.
However, just make sure that your notebook has the available port/antennae connections, and that you are...
