...Samsung P460
Samsung is rocking with its latest P series notebooks with highly configured features and latest technology. Earlier I have reviewed 15.4" series P560 which also was loaded with good features and now in this series I have chose another popular 14.1" screen size laptop.
***
I will discuss here good features of this laptop and its advantages as well as disadvantages also. First of all I always use to keep write on processor and here also a good processor we can have. The time is now for multicore processor and kipping this tradition on Samsung has provided, Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 with clock speed of 2.4 GHz and front size bus speed is 1066 MHz, Another point that should be consider in processor is its L2 cache size and in this processor it has 3MN of L2 cache size, front size bus speed and L2 cache are common in both...

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT
Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs
Disadvantages: large size (price?)
...Apple mac-books, where to start...
ok, so to start,
it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are.
this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop.
The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop.
The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is...

Nice and slick laptop
Advantages: Its a portable computer, of course
Disadvantages: Can get a little heavy
...The HP Omnibook XE3 laptop (Notebook) has a 1.06-MHz Intel Pentium III processor.
The laptop has a 14" LCD screen 512 MB of RAM and a 30GB hard drive which is plenty for a laptop. It contains a DVD drive and an Intel modem of 56-Kbps. It also comes with the latest from the Microsoft widows series, Microsoft Windows XP, which is extremely easy to use and the layout is superb. It has built in speakers and a built in floppy drive. It has many ports these include, mouse port, PS/2 keyboard, infared port, two USB and many more. It has a built in microphone, which fare enough isn't that useful it's still fun to play around with.
The laptop contains a touchpad, like all laptops, this I find is very tricky to get to grips with but
wants your used to it you may even enjoy more than a mouse.
The good thing about this laptop is it has...

HP 530 - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT
Advantages: Cost, Reliability, Battery Life, WIFI Range
Disadvantages: Display not best, memory - not enough
...So what's it got and is it worth it.
My 530 come with Vista Home Basic 32 pre-installed with the option of the Business 32 version for a little extra. It's powered by an IntelCore Due T2050 processor at 1.6GHz with 2MB level 2 cache and 533MHz FSB. The memory let's it down at only 512Mb, which struggles to keep up woth the demand of Vista.
The good news is that the memory can be upgraded to up to 2Gb, however we opted to trash Vista in favour of our ol favourite Windows XP Home.
Storage is a reasonable 80Gb SATA Hard Disk Drive and a combi DVD/CD RW drive wth double layer capability allows for essential backups, and writing speeds that won't keep you waiting.
The screen is 15.4 inches with WXGA Brightview technology.
There is a wired network adaptor as well as a wireless connection via a Broadcom 802.11 b/g, allowing...

Sam has finally Sung in to it's budget buyers!
Advantages: top finish at reasonable price
Disadvantages: poor poor battery
...Samsung, one of the worlds leading technological company's finally enters the budget laptop market, realizing that some people simply cannot afford day-to-day items at their normally rocket-high prices. This beauty though comes in at just under 500 great british pounds!
So, with a reasonably priced laptop you would expect a reasonably nice piece of kit. Wrong! The laptop looks beautiful! Well, much better than the price would suggest. Finished with a pretty glossy lid. What's more, weighing in at just under 2.5 kilos it is reasonably portable and is about 350mm wide and 250mm deep. Samsung have definitely passed the first impression marks!
This has a Core Duo processor (the newer ones) and a speed of 1.86GHz which is pretty normal for newer laptops today.1GB RAM isn't anything to write home about, but at least they managed to fit it in...

Black Beauty
TFT by salva_nos">
Advantages: Very portable and quite powerful for the price
Disadvantages: Case could be stronger, especially around the monitor.
...my money buying something with the basic version.
Vista does take some time to get used to, because of the new way it does things and it can sometimes be a little confusing, but don't worry, you will soon get used to it.
In addition to Vista, the device comes with Cyberlink DVD solution, which is easy to use.
Back to the R20- The graphics are helped along by the ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 integrated chipset which is quite a revelation. Most integrated solutions are totally useless and struggle with anything but the most basic of tasks, but this one is much quicker.
Don't expect it to run the latest games and it might struggle with video editing, but for displaying Vista and photo editing, along with watching DVD's, it is more than upto the job.
The screen is only 14.1" , but it has a resolution of 1280x800 which is nice...

HP4100 omnibok 256mb 30gb 1.2 ghz dvd
Advantages: light, durable, fast
Disadvantages: none
...When I bought this or only 699 pounds brand new, I knew it was a bargain. With a memory of 30gb, speed 1.2 ghz and 256mb ram, dvd drive, it was more that I required for my college studies. However, as www. microwarehouse.co.uk had it on special offer, 699 exc VAT (835 pounds inc VAT and delivery) was a price too good to resist. Besides, should I wish to buy a new laptop, I would probably pay close to the same amount for a model of a much less well established make and of much less advanced configuration.
Well, what should I say about this laptop? Appearance wise, it is of a slim, black design, which is professional looking unlike some bulkier models. IT is very light - only 2.9 kg heavy, and is thus very portable. The battery, according to description, lasts for 3 hrs, but in effect it is about 3-4 hours which is much better...
