...A well designed, high quality affordable laptop, the HP pavilion dv5 doesn't fail to please in looks, performance or price. In terms of look and design, flashy is a good word for it. It has a glossy black case which shines in the light, then you open it. The keyboard-surround is split horizontally: the bottom half is very light silver with a white check pattern, and the upper half perforated silver plastic. Around the edge of the laptop, there is a chrome-effect strip which sparkles and shimmers. Even the mouse pad has a finish that is so reflective you can see your face in it. This is the 'bling-bling' of the laptop world. It also feels pretty solid, I don't think you would be able to break it easily and I have faith in it's durability and robustness. It is also quite light, weighing 2.65kg, not bad for a laptop it's size. Ok...

The Hp Pavilion dv6500t

...I am the proud owner of one of these hp pavilion dv6500t laptops. It has a 15.4" Brightview display and the processor is an intel centrino duo (core 2 duo). The quality of the images displayed on the screen are excellent and overall the processor is very fast (one of the fastest laptops i have ever used). It has a memory of up to 2GB RAM which is more than enough for normal use (work/leisure). Another benefit of this laptop is the number of external connections it has - 3 USB ports, a s-video port, memory card slot (very useful if copying videos/pictures from a camera or video recorder), hdmi slot and some others that i have never used. There is a port for an external microphone and two headphone slots. It also has a webcam which records videos in a very high quality. It is also very easy to use, has a beautiful design and is quite light...

Advantages: great entertainment laptop

...This laptop is the HP Pavilion dv9820ea Entertainment. The Hp Pavilion models are made mainly for gaiming, watching movies on and various other entertainment needs whilst not compromising the ability to od serious work on these as well. One thing that is compromised though is the portability, entertainment laptops are made to keep at home and not really to carry about with you all the time, so whilst the specification may look good, don?t expect one of these to be very portable. The Pavilion dv9820ea combines two colours, silver and black in order to make it look very up to date and futuristic even. It appears nice and rounded, and its shell makes the laptop feel very stable and robust. The installed ram on this laptop is great, it has a massive 3gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also the AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile...

HP Pavilion DV6625em - high spec, shiny; questionable quality?

...I purchased my HP Pavilion Laptop (model number dv6625em) in January 2008 after my previous laptop finally stopped working (and was beyond repair after 4 years of use and multiple failing components). I did a lot of research in order to find the best laptop at a reasonable price (I had £500), because I have heard lots of horror stories about unreliable laptops, or ones that are unpleasant to use. I chose the HP dv6625em because it matched my requirements and was available from John Lewis. They have a good name as a retailer and provided a free 2-year guarantee, which seemed sensible. I do not have a branch of John Lewis nearby, so I ordered it online. I?m going to write mainly in the past tense, just as a style of writing. ...I Currently own This laptop. Not Knowing much About Computers And thinking what am i missing out on with something basic? i upgraded to this HP Dv9000 laptop which have treated me tremendously. as i am a teenager at 16 years of age, i do like to have many stuff on my PC which i have 4000 songs a about 30 odd movies. files do not even get near to effecting the performance and reliability of this laptop. having great performance and onboard graphics which i can play games hassle/jump free. this is a comfortable laptop to have around you. either on messenger and typing, its hassle free and a dream. strong, reliable and fast laptop which is a fantastic laptop in my eyes. what more would you need? thanks lee...

HP Pavilion DV2130ea made for everything!!!

Advantages: remote control, in-built camera, HP imprint finish, 120GB, Core Duo processor

...I bought my HP Pavilion dv21360ea in november last year. The advantage to buy new laptop at this time, is that you'll be able to upgrade to new Windows Vista which will be available broadly January 30, 2007. So if you get a new laptop between October 26, 2006 and March 15, 2007 you will be able to uprade for free to Windows Vista. I have already order it from HP site. It's really easy to do and the only fees you have to pay are packaging and delivery (which is around 12£). General & Extras The laptop itself is great. Compact, light enough to carry around and powerfull too. A 14.1 inch widescreen display that is HD ready and features HP BrightView technology makes watching films thrilling. DVD recorder makes writing your favorite movies into DVD's very easy. I really like that little add-ons, for example nice little remote...

Will HP be waiting on the Pavilion?

Advantages: Speedy, solid, reliable, HP
Disadvantages: A budget laptop

...Well the Acer packed in and with the warranty the store gave us credit (apparently the Acer that we had had become obselete and there was none in stock). So with the £400 or so store credit my mother wisely (and under her own guidance as far as I know) picked the HP Pavilion DV6000 (as far as I'm aware theirs no difference between this and the T model though if there is, I'm sorry). Quite why My mother (darling mother of mine) decided to ever get the pile of fecial matter that Acer claimed was a laptop I was never quite to sure, as everything in it came to peices, the keys flew off, the screen was...well dead, the AV charge wire was..erm..well dead too. Why couldn't she have gone after a real solid, well worked peice of kit like this first time round Im not sure. So HP's...what do I think of them? Well I'd basically take a bricky out...

HP Pavilion dv4145EA Review

Advantages: good speed, wireless card fitted
Disadvantages: no bluetooth, no camera, problem with DVD burner

.... Everything was nicely illustrated in the purchase booklet (what we call as guide notes!) . So as i turned it on, the installation wizard was there to bore me. It took several minutes for me to get the laptop open. I had to install the drivers and all such stuffs. But i am proud I did it. he he. Finally everything was ready for me. It was so fast , so great looking on my desk. I didn't have internet connection that time though. Even though i enjoyed the features on it. It was simply the best. GOODIES: Now i still like it and the most i like on this one is the speed on which this works. It is incredibly speed. May be great power. I had some problems in the past like about 2-3 months ago but i could fix it with the information and the technical help provided on the hp website and the hp user manual. Till now i have 2 major problems with this. But...
