HP Pavilion DV6625em - high spec, shiny; questionable quality?

Advantages: Nice to use; wonderful screen and features
Disadvantages: Appalling customer service; cracks on lid; poor A/C adaptor reliability

...which was a nice touch. The unit was fairly lightweight, which was a relief after my previous heavy laptop, and it didn?t get too hot. Battery life was excellent and the software ran very smoothly because of the high specifications. There were also handy touchpad style keys to control media programs (ie stop, play, fast-forward and volume control buttons). Unfortunately there are other buttons on that row that will launch a HP Multimedia program, which happened by accident a fair bit. I would also have preferred a physical volume wheel but it?s not really a problem. The laptop also came with a remote-control for multimedia applications ? I haven?t made much use of it but it is nice to have, and very impressive. It?s designed to be stored in the PC card slot but I nearly got it stuck in there once so I haven?t dared put it in there since...

The Very Sexy HP Pavilion

Advantages: Remote control, touch controls and an integrated 1.3 megapixels web cam
Disadvantages: The battery life and the Windows Vista operating system

...love this feature as it comes in useful for turning the computer on and for controlling many of the entertainment and quickplay functions, as well as sound control. The extremely slim remote is a very stylish thing on its own to add to the overall presentational effect this laptop oozes. Like nearly all new computers now the HP Pavilion comes with Windows Vista pre-installed. There seems to be many critics against Windows Vista and I must admit I am one of them. Windows Vista seems to only really change the layout and upgrade the desktop appearence, from what I have found Vista has just changed the look of most things to do with the laptop while keeping the same features but presented in a different way. Hp DV9030ea media entertainment system - Excellent but overheats

Advantages: Powerfull, stylish, many featured, Large display with built in camera and full Keyboard.
Disadvantages: Overheating, noisy fan and short battery life. It's large and Heavy.

...The laptop is a powerfull laptop with a 1.8x2 ghz processor and Nvidea Go 7600 256mb graphics card and looks very stylish but has a terrible overheating problem which you can feel if you have it balanced on your legs; even with space for the fan your always jiggleing it about wondering if it has enough air (The fan is quite noisy). It has a large 17inch display, bluetooth and built in camera and touchpad. Full sized keyboard. Touch panel buttons for media centre and quickplay. 4 USB ports, express card slot with tv aereal I like it a lot but it burns out once a year. The graphics card is fixed to the motherboard so when it goes you have to replace the motherboard too. HP did give me a great fast service on the extended warrantly on this problem (see the website under dv9030ea) but the problem is the pain of having to keep replacing...

...Ok, so my title is a bit OTT, but there isn't much this PC cannot do, add an integrated toaster and it would be perfect. Even though I have had the PC for about a year I'm new to Ciao so I thought I better write a review for thing that brought me and Ciao together. ~*~Cosmetics~*~ To look at the M7081 looks like every other home PC. I'm not going to tell how it doesn't? because it does. The familiar tower structure is fairly plain with the usual memory card slots located at the top of the case, the connectivity panel is well hidden by one of the two sliding doors on the front, what's behind the other will come later on. The look of the PC is more suited to bedroom rather than at the heart of the home as the name "Media Centre" suggests, the two tone chrome effect works well the blue light that emits from the power...

...The HP DV9655ea. As a small business owner (I.T) I have to have a Laptop. It's as simple as that. My old laptop was a Toshiba Equium M70 on XP. Being in I.T meant that I had to have the latest OS from Microsoft in order to help clients when they need help with Vista. Usually when somebody asks me to find them a laptop for their needs, I can do it swiftly, effectively and find them their perfect laptop. A top-quality machine from HP

Advantages: Looks brilliant, huge screen, very powerful
Disadvantages: Size and weight (only to be expected), short battery time

...the headphone sockets. Webcam: As I mentioned earlier, there is a webcam above the screen. It has a little label saying 1.3MP next to it, so I guess it's 1.3 megapixels, although I haven't counted them? Anyway, when I first tried to use it by having a video conversation on Windows Live Messenger, it didn't work. However, I had a live chat session with someone at HP (more on customer support later), who managed to give me some instructions to fix it (I uninstalled the driver, restarted the computer and, tah-daa). The HP person also told me how to use the camera to take pictures and videos by going to Quickplay, but doing this (especially on full screen camera mode) drinks the battery, so best only to do this when on AC power. One minor annoyance is that you can't flip the image to make it behave like a mirror, but I'll get over that. Power...

The HP Pavilion Slimline s3821 Media Box

Advantages: Fast, built in WI-FI, Nice HD Graphics, 15 in 1 memory card reader and portable media bay.
Disadvantages: Too much like a PC and not enougth like a media device

...The HP Paviion Slimline s3821 uk-p is a very competitively priced HTPC and very good value for money. The HP Pavilion s3821 is powered by a Dual ? Core processer giving it the higher clock speed needed by HTPC?s. The higher clock speed allows programs like Photoshop and I-Tunes to run correctly without lag and generally giving it a media heart. It?s not the smallest in its range but that allows it to have a nice sized graphics card init. It also has a HDMI port provided by its nice sized graphics card, allowing it to plug straight into your HDTV. This does appear to be an added extra which is absent in the other PC?s of its range. The m7281.uk Media Center PC

Advantages: All-round entertainment system that keeps up with the best.
Disadvantages: Graphocs card could do with upgrading.

First of all its HP so you know you're going to get the good quality and performance. Especially with a pentium 4 3.2Ghz.
