Photosmart 7850 - Fantastic for those with money

Advantages: Excellent true to life photo quality
Disadvantages: Delicate cartridges, not recommended for refill

...Here we have an excellent print. It arrives with the best HP cartridges, the photo cartridge containing the brand new high tech ink by HP, allowing better tone for things like skin on photos. THINK INK!

Advantages: Easily obtainable, good value, recyclable.
Disadvantages: Really just the idea of it not being a genuine new original!

...MY HISTORY WITH INK CARTRIDGES: From the time I bought my first printer, I have really had nothing but problems when it has come to keeping them supplied with ink! The brand named cartridges generally contain less ink for your money and so they need either need replacing more frequently, or you pay considerably more. My first printer, an Epson, was bought along with bottles of refill ink and a syringe to inject each colour into the colour cartridge, and a bottle of black for the other one. The salesman in PC World assured me it was easy? well it was the first time, apart from the mess! then the second time I just flooded the printer, and I had to buy new cartridges. My second printer a Lexmark, had the same thing happen and I eventually scrapped it! Now I have a HP PSE 1317 inkjet 3 in 1, and I love it, but the ink cartridges...

They fit MOST of the hp printer range, but not all, Cheap ish, as far as ink cartidges go, not a bad price at all, and to be honest they do last a fair while, so the value for money is good Quality, not the best, but certainly more than adequate for good quality photos, i have always liked hp printers, for their quality of print, hence why i chose mine this time There isnt much more i can say about it to be honest, if you want a nice quality printer, choose one with this ink cartridge, nice price, nice quality, good product, i would recommend it. Ill give it a 5, i would give it a four, because the quality isnt the best available, but for the money, reliability, and time they last, they deserve a five....

The numbers are 338 and 343. 338 is the black cart and the 343 is the colour cart. What they dont tell you is the standard cartridges (338 and 343) only manages to print 600 pages at 5% coverage. HP Photosmart - A Smart Desicion!

Advantages: Fun & Simple to use without a PC, loads of features, touchscreen
Disadvantages: Max paper size 5" x 7"

...self adhesive glossy paper bought from eBay and I genuinely can not tell the difference in quality. As for ink it takes an HP Tri-Colour Inkjet 110 Ink cartridge. All 3 colours and the black ink are in the 1 cartridge. They are available direct from www.hp.co.uk for £16 but I have seen them for sale in Curry's for £24 each. I buy mine from amazon.com for around £13 each. Installing the ink cartridge is so simple. There is a door on the front of the printer which pulls open. The cartridges have ridges on them so it is easy to reach in and pull the empty one out. The fresh cartridge just needs to have it's plastic wrapped pulled off then it is ready to push into place. You will know when it's in as it 'snaps' into place. I have had several printers and this is by far the simplest when it comes to changing ink. I have owned an HP...

HP Photosmart C5280 Ink-drinking all in 1 PSC

Advantages: Price, features, ease of use print quality.
Disadvantages: Cost of ink, a bit bulky. prints on reverse side (load paper print side down)

...XD, MS, SD and CF card slots are another useful edition. I have noticed that if the paper tray is filled beyond half way, it creases the paper slightly just before printing, the cartridges (one black and the other Tricolor) are pricey and in my opinion do not last long enough, if you use re-manufactured carts, the ink status shows empty all the time! This is a good printer for the money, a bit noisy and can't see it lasting very long....

Tesco Cheap Ink Cartridge

...I purchasd this this third part ink cartridge whilst out shopping in my local Tesco store for just under £3 which seemed like a bargain so i thought i'd give it a go. I've used other third party ink cartridges in the past so thought i'd try this one out too since Tesco seem to make everything now. As with all third part ink cartidges,the initial prints are good and of acceptable standard considering that they can cost up to 90% less than the genuine original ink cartidiges. However as you print out a few more,mthe quality degrades considerably and you'll also notice that the ink does not last as long as the original ones do. The print outs are also prone to smudging and take ages to dry properly compared to the originals and the ink dries up faster if you haven't used them for a long time.
